The maple latte from Brooklyn Roasting Company on a crisp fall day is the ultimate treat and bound to set you up for a good day. Other times of the year, I love any of their roasts for a straight forward cup of black coffee. This particular location is decent to work from. It's long and narrow and they mostly have some high tops with some more comfortable seating with backs toward the other end. It's a small spot and the seats tend to get snatched up pretty quickly, but the wifi works and the staff is really sweet. read more

I met up my high school friend at Brooklyn Roasting Company. She suggested this cafe since it was spacious and not overly packed. I got an ICED AMERICANO (4.25) and it was alright. Caught up with a friend over coffee here and can immediately say I'll definitely be back! Happened to go during happy hour which meant my coffee was half off so my cold brew was only $2- such a steal. I opted for the house cold brew which was a blend of the sumatra and something else i cant quiet remember. it was delicious and not too acidic, which is usually what turns me off from cold brew. I don't know how it is during the week but it was pretty quiet when I was there, making me feel like it would be the perfect spot to get some work done. read more

Awesome coffee and service. I got a nitro cold brew, which was darker than what I normal get, but, it ended with notes of sweetness. I really enjoyed it and my girlfriend really liked her oat milk latte too. I left with a couple cans of beans and the barista was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They offer a lot of different brews - I stopped by on a sunny afternoon and got a Sumatra iced coffee. They do half price in the afternoon (I believe 3-5 or 4-6?), so getting the large was a no brainer. Friendly service too! read more

BRC continues to absolutely kill it. The staff here are the literal best and more people need to visit this amazing little cafe instead of the soulless Starbucks and Blank Street on Montague. Let me set the scene: I came in looking like I just survived a tornado, carrying books and a bottle of cough syrup I just bought from CVS the next street over because I forgot to bring a reusable bag. It's day 2 of this terrible cold I've just caught and I stumbled in looking for maybe something warm to drink. I ask if they have tea, and the barista (whom I've forgotten to ask for her name because I was very under the weather) takes one look at the cough syrup in my hand and suggests tea. There's no tea menu so I ask what kind of tea they have and she says she'll make me a ginger tea and add some lemon juice and honey to it. Two bags of delicious, warming, soothing ginger tea from Serendipitea at no extra charge with some extra vitamin C from the lemon juice. She even filled my thermos with hot water so I could refill my tea for the rest of the morning while I cranked out some papers. I felt like I was just thrown a lifesaver and was now pulled to safety. I'm devoted to this cafe FOR LIFE. Seriously guys, this place is incredible and not just for their coffee but for the human touch. Keep it up BRC, y'all are the best! read more

I love this spot!! Kendall & Grace are both wonderful baristas - friendly, efficient, and welcoming. I love the cold brew and lattes here and all of the pastries I've tried are super good. It's also a cute location with a little library and some board games. BRC in Williamsburg is my new go to! read more

BRC is the coziest and friendliest coffee shop in this part of Williamsburg. The acoustics are amazing. You never hear the traffic outside. The music is at the correct volume. It's perfect for bo to holding a conversation or for working or relaxing. The coffee drinks are always delicious and well made. And even though it's very rare that I strike up a conversation with another customer, because of the free library in the back I feel like I'm getting to know my neighbors in little ways. Like, recently I pulled an Emily Dickinson poetry book off the shelf to read as I drank my latte and there was not much only poetry, but also a little bit of marginalia. So many coffee shops feel like every other coffee shop in America. And even though BRC is a local chain, this location especially feel like it REALLY is it's own unique spot. Which other coffee shop lets you browse (and also take home) whatever book catches your eye as you drink coffee and eat pastries?!?!?! This is a wonderful spot to visit both on one's own or with a few friends. read more

Went here for the beans, stayed for the vibes! Brooklyn Roasting Company sources and roasts their own beans in their Navy Yard location and also has a location in Williamsburg. I went to grab some beans and was delighted to learn that if you buy their beans, you get a free cup of coffee, too! There is plenty of room to sit; they have several high-top tables, high-tops by the window that gets lots of sun, and a large table with several comfortable couch-like chairs. I love their colorful aesthetic that is sprinkled throughout the space - whether it be the lights or the "little free library" that has books you can read/take (so long as you replace it with a book) organized by color. I spent a good amount of time here and really enjoyed it. They also have a clean bathroom which is always a plus. I tried their Colombia blend in store and it was great. Excited to try the Tokyo blend and Brazil blend that I grabbed at home! read more

WOOHOO! I've only ever really been able to go to Brooklyn roasting whenever I'm in the Navy Yard area...which isn't often, so I was SOLD when this new spot opened. If your gps isn't finding it, stay on the block, trust me, it's not in the library. If you have a branded tin, keep it and bring it to fill up with beans (they can grind them too for you) and you get a cute discount. Bring a reusable mug for a discount and too! It's literally the freshest cup you'll ever drink. Go. Enjoy. Life is too short to drink iffy coffee. read more
