I've recently gotten into Brooklyn-style pizza, and I've really enjoyed exploring it. Being a Southerner, I don't have the highest bar set when reviewing, but with that said, this place was very cool. I went in and ordered a pizza to go, and it took about 15 minutes--only because they made it fresh right then. The pizza is priced really well for the quality, and it tastes great. The ambience of the restaurant is also solid, and it seems like a fun spot to take the family on a weeknight or just hang out and watch a game. Overall, a really cool spot in downtown Pendleton and definitely a must-try. read more

Finally found a local Pizzia place with good Pizzia. Their thin crust is not too thin. It's crispy to perfection... Thick edges... Just great. Sauces are tasty, ingredients are fresh and generously used. The place is quaint, small. Service was great. The owner stopped by and we had a good talk. He's serious about making good food. But when you leave, be sure to check your bill, they've had some issues with their POS system, and they tried to charge me 30% for using a credit card After digging into it, they thanked me for bringing it to their attention, but I can't believe nobody else had done this or that they missed it completely on their own. What a great find! We're from out of state and staying at the Twin Lakes Campground. In our constant search for good pizza and a desire to support local businesses we found this gem! As a self proclaimed pizza aficionado, I found their deep dish harkens to the late 1900s. Their pan risen dough, when baked rises to be thick, perfectly textured ,with the edges crisped with reflections of Paris! The perfect crust is topped with a great sauce and toppings that were fresh and delicious! The server was amazing helpful, her blend of patience and helpfulness was spot on! She was able to guide us in making great decisions on our pizza creation. We ordered two pizzas, and even after eating our fill, were large enough for us to still take home. (which reheated wonderfully!) They had a cute retro look harkening to the bistros of the 80s. Located on the town square giving it a feel of happy nostalgia. Quaint restaurant with about 10 tables. The pizza was true Brooklyn style. You have a choice of Neapolitan hand tossed or Sicilian thick crust. The sauce is very flavorful great taste. Thin crust has a nice crunch, the sausage tastes wonderful with hints Of fennel, the vegetables were fresh, too! The cannoli had a crispy shell and a very smooth and pleasantly sweet. Best pizza we have had since NY city visit. Crust was perfect and service was great. Highly recommend.

We visited Brooklyn Style Pizza for dinner last night and enjoyed everything about it. Our server, Eleanor (Ella, for short) was about as welcoming and friendly as she could be. We split the Brooklyn Salad, which was plenty for two and was really good. The fresh mozzarella on top made a big difference and the dressings (one of us had the vinaigrette and the other ranch - we think they were homemade?) were good. We each had a couple glasses of the house Chianti which was also good, but the best part was the pizza. We like thinner crust pizza and the Neapolitan may have been one of the best pizza crusts we've eaten. It's firm - you can hold a piece by the edge and it barely bends - but a bit chewy, as well, and thick enough to be substantial. The sauce was delicious and the toppings were very good. We like Italian sausage, mushroom and onion on our pizza and the sausage was the real deal. The restaurant itself was clean and simple, with some fun decor like the Brooklyn Bridge logo that's also on the front of the building. The 70's and 80's soft rock background music was a nice touch, too - at least for our generation! We were around long enough to meet the owners, Lisa and Hector, and it's apparent why this place is such high-quality and gets such good reviews. These folks are dedicated to a great food experience and it shows. We probably passed 5 or 6 pizza places on our way to Pendleton for this dinner, but we've found our pizza spot, and we'll make the drive for it! read more

Amazing pizza. This is NY style pizza, crispy crust, thin but not so thin that it flops over when you pick it up. Sauce is good, ingredients are tasty. The worst part (and completely out of their control) is trying to find parking in downtown Pendleton. I hesitate to say how great it is because I don't want to have more people finding out how great it is. For what it is worth I live 20-25 minutes away and happily drive there whenever they are open and I want good pizza. read more

From Sicily with love! The Famous Sicilian ( only available on weekends) and rightly so! This Pie is amazing if you have never tried it's a must light fluffy and a crunch to die for amazing sauce one bite and you will fall in love Brooklyn Style pizza never misses yes at times there may be a wait but when you are serving the best pie in the Upstate it's worth the wait. 10/10 worthy of a Visit from El Presidente from barstool sport so spread the word. read more

Horrendous experience. Made a reservation and was on time. Waited 20 minutes to even be seen by the hostess, to find that the table had been given away (prior to the reservation time). Come to find out preferential treatment had been given to family of one of the employees. We made the reservation early in order to avoid the craziness as we had 2 small children and a very elderly, and in-firmed, grandparent with us. Hostess took responsibility for this mix up but that doesn't help us, we were stranded without recourse. I will never go to, or give business to, this location again. We have had a "hit or miss" experience at this location with food, service, and the fact that we get stuffed in there like a can of sardines (ambiance), and after this I will NOT give this restaurant another chance. read more

We stumbled upon Brooklyn Pizza while visiting Clemson over spring break. It is an excellent place to get authentic New York style pizza! Perfectly foldable slices, with a crisp crust, delicious sauce and fresh sliced toppings. We also tried a Cesar salad and mild traditional wings. Both were outstanding. Nice sized portions and high quality ingredients. Good variety of draft beer/wines and a friendly staff. Seemed to be a mom and pop type place and they take pride in their restaurant. I've found my new favorite pizza spot. Located on the square in downtown Pendleton, I'm glad I found my way to this great spot. We ordered two pizzas, one pepperoni and one cheese. Both were delicious and very authentic-tasting. The pepperoni was extremely flavorful, and the large slices are HUGE! I found myself folding the thin crust in half to eat it (which I'm sure is the right way, right?). The crust was perfect, chewy with the right about of toasty. The sauce was flavorful and not overly sweet (zesty, lively). Great spot, and we will definitely be back again. read more
