Planned a Thursday night outing with a group of 8 women. Had heard good and not so good reports about this restaurant so wanted to check it out. Reservations are recommended. Cute little restaurant with an interesting menu. Service was awesome. As we waited for all our party to get there we were served a complimentary soup. We ordered sporadically during the evening. A majority of the group ordered the rolls. Some ordered a second round of a different set of rolls. A few people ordered the pizza. All the choices looked good. Wow !!!!! What a wonderful experience. Our family from Texas is visiting Clemson where our middle grandson plays football. He recommended this place so we tried it. Cool atmosphere. We were greeted promptly and our waitress was outstanding. Great personality and most of all a beautiful smile. SHAME ON YOU ERICA's We recently ate at Erica's in Pendleton. Because of their already high prices we considered this a date night. We tipped our usual 20%, but the next day discovered the waitress had added an extra tip on top of the food plus our tip. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. When the manager was approached the next day his response was that it was up to the waitress to refund the double tip. THIS IS NOT RIGHT! We will not go back to Erica's and you should be very careful when you do. I was in the waitress business a long time. I never stole from my customers. Shame on you Ericas!!! read more

Food was good but really slow to come out. We were one of two tables in the restaurant and were surprised at how much time it took to get our food. Additionally we felt the poke bowls were overpriced for what we got. Our table ordered a pizza and two poke bowls and the kimchi tots for an appetizer. The tots were amazing and highly recommended as was the pizza. Both of those dishes came out really fast. Our poke bowls came in a container that looks pretty deep and was covered with great looking fish. When we dug our chopsticks into the rice we were surprised how shallow the container was. Calling all Foodies! Might I say the best restaurant you've never heard of. Where do I start... if I were to judge them on their pizza alone it would be a 10. Very few places in South Carolina can pull off a Neapolitan pizza dough with a true wood oven. Keep it simple with a true Margherita or go crazy with a burrata, sausage and honey. Now for the menu - himachi sushi appetizer could of won best starter. Fresh raw oysters from Nova Scotia were crisp and flavorful. The double patty burger which is angus from local butchery had a secret sauce that was off the charts. Beers are all local nc/sc craft drafts and they even have a draft kombucha. From the time we walked in, I knew this was going to be good. My 84 year old dad was with me, and as he came in with his walker, the only question was where he would like to sit that would be best for HIM. Dad didn't want a full beer, so she brought him a tasting. Dinner? OMG. Kimchi fries, parmesan brussels sprouts, raw oysters, and shrimp tempura -- four small plates, all full of flavor, fresh, and delightful. It is SO hard to find original food in our area, and Erica's can easily become a new favorite. Next time we'll try the pizza. And yes, it was so good that my dad can't wait to go back. OK Myself and 5 other frequent diners out decided to try this "new" Restaurant. We had a 7 pm reservation and were promptly seated. We were warned when we made the reservation "The kitchen" was short staffed and there might be a bit of a wait. We usually take our time eating so we were OK with that. They do not have a liquor license yet so its beer and wine. The look to have a decent selection of both micro and larger brew selections. The wine list is limited- but the selection is nice and tasteful. They have Noah River wines- the pinot, the cab and the chard, which I love. We ordered a mix of pizza, oysters, salads and other seafood and sides. The waitress was very nice and came back to let us know the salmon 2 of us wanted was 86 for the night (Meaning they are out of it) So we both ordered other options. She also said the food would be brought out as it became ready. The first person got their food at 8pm. Not bad. The 6 th person got their order at 9pm. Not so great. The food was all well cooked and tasted great- but other then the pizza- the portions were very small. 15 for 6 shrimp, 18 for 6 oysters. The ambiance was great and our waitress was nice so I give a star for that. The food was well cooked and tasted great- so a star for that as well. But they lost a star because serving the last person at the table a full hour after the first one ( even with a possible wait warning) is not acceptable. They lose a star for that, the portions are tiny for the price they lose another star for that, and being out of something on the menu on a night where there are not many other patrons and not letting the table know that when we ordered- is the final third star deduction. Overall- they have possibilities. But we won't be back. Sad because we really wanted to like the restaurant. read more

We had been wanting to try this place. We knew the area would be busy due to a big Clemson FSU game. So we called ahead, and they were taking reservations just due to the game crowd. They seated us right away and had a table reserved for us- awesome! Normally you don't need a reservation. Their outdoor patio looked very nice, and inside was cute and cozy as well. Their ingredients and quality of food seem above average, and you can tell the owner/ chefs have put great thought into their menu items and cooking. BUT, although good, we did not feel it was anything spectacular for the prices. The prices for the pizza being the size it was, was okay. But the sushi rolls were very pricey- over $20 each. I am a foodie and understand the importance of using good ingredients, but I felt this was a bit over the top. The sushi was good, but nothing to write home about. My guys liked the pizza, but it wasn't anything that stood out to them. The bacon jam on it was good though. We ordered the kimchi tots as an appetizer, and it was good, but kimchi is an acquired taste. I'm used to kimchi and all it's fermented sourness and spiciness, but the guys couldn't done without it. The melty cheese over the tots in a skillet was good though. The beer on tap was said to be good-- sorry forgot which he ordered. And blanking on which two sushi rolls we chose-- I realize not helpful lol sorry- I waited too long to review. We didn't feel the staff or chef were too friendly (he came out to also bring food to our table which was interesting). He didn't greet us or smile. Just dropped it and ran. The server was nice was disappeared most the time. And didn't pick up any empty plates etc. I think they were just too busy and couldn't handle it. So I'll give them grace and we'll try again. And probably order less next time and try some other items. So our bill doesn't exceed $90 again lol eek. read more

We started with craft-made drinks made by the owner herself, Erica Song. Great quality. Then started with a Watermelon Feta Salad, then some excellent wood-fired oysters. I called in two pizzas to go. They gave me a 20-25 minute estimate. I sit in the parking lot until the 20 minute mark. When I walk in they tell me they waited for me to get there to bake the pizzas because "they don't want them to get soggy". If I'm late for the pickup and it's soggy, that's on me. Instead, I waited 20 minutes for them to bake my pizza after I arrived. So much for take out. read more

Okay. This was our first time here. We just moved to the area and love trying mom and pop restaurants. This was a GEM! The ambiance is okay but the food and friendly staff exceeded our expectations. We got the pork dumplings, jalapeño pizza, and green monster sushi. Although all the food was exceptional good, the pizza was amazingly delicious (did not expect that!). Our family ate here this week and it was our first visit. I read the low reviews and I can understand their complaint about waiting. We were waiting for our sushi order while many came in after us and got their food promptly. So we figured everything must be prepared to order. Nothing made ahead like some places. We waited patiently an when our food arrived it was absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented. Didn't get drink refills as needed, although they provided bottles of water for each table. It's a bit eclectic with a fusion of Italian and Japanese flare. Music set the tone for the place. Little funky. We enjoyed the food very much. We will be back.. we live close to the Georgia line and visit Pendleton often. If I had one suggestion it would be to prepare to wait a bit. Order an appetizer if you come hungry. My friend and I ate here and had the most amazing experience. We ordered the oven roasted oysters that had the most incredible flavors. My friend ordered the sushi which was recommended by the sushi chef Glen himself. It was so flavorful and full of fresh and authentic flavors. We ordered a variety of sake and were able to find a sparkling kind in which we haven't seen anywhere else. At the end I ordered a tiramisu which tasted better than any I had in my life the owner even brought it out which made for a great experience. The interior decor is lacking and the old beer taps from the previous business are sticking out of the wall. The place smells like BBQ inside from the brick pizza oven...I love that smell! They offer some apps, but mostly pizza from the brick oven.(12 and 14 inch) Limited menu options for pizza. (You cannot order a plain cheese pizza, only what is on the menu) Young man who was the waiter and order taker was working his but off. He did a great job but seemed a bit frazzled! Pizza makers also seemed a bit confused. (I think they are still adjusting and perfecting their systems) Pizza was absolutely incredible! It came out looking like a small personal size triangle, but I have to say it is the best pizza I have found yet in this area. I felt items were a little overpriced... considering the portion size of the pizzas. I would suggest trying them! The favors from the brick oven are unbeatable!
