Love bagels and when this place opened we were very happy. The bagel sandwiches are great and the staff is friendly. Our favorites are the lox and cream cheese, tuna and egg and cheese and our favorite bagels are the jalapeño cheese, Asiago and everything bagels. Okay, people... seriously. What bagel chain is out here making actual New York-water bagels? Because I'm convinced this one does. And if that wasn't enough, they even make coffee ice so your iced coffee never gets watered down. I mean--come on. That alone blew me away. This was only my second visit, and once again, I left impressed. One of the main reasons we came back today is because my son's girlfriend is gluten intolerant, and she absolutely LOVED the gluten-free bagels I picked up for her last time. She basically insisted we return--and I'm glad we did. Another hit. For me-- this time, I got the veggie spread on a sesame bagel, and I enjoyed that one so much more than last visit. The coffee bar is fantastic, and I didn't realize during my first visit that they actually freeze coffee for the ice. Brilliant. If you're in the Lake Nona area, highly recommend. When we received our bagels they were lukewarm. We were the only people eating in the dining room so I didn't understand why it was just lukewarm. The bagel sandwiches looked amazing but tasted bland. The hashbrowns were the worst part of the meal. They weren't crispy at all and had a funny aftertaste. The menu can be found above the cash registers and there's a lot to choose from! This is a franchise operation with this store being the 4th in the state of Florida. We ordered online (surprised it was an available option) and was able to pick it up with 15 minutes of ordering. The garlic bagel I ordered wasn't quite ready, so I opted to wait a few more minutes for it to be done baking. While I waited, I could see the cashiers working their way through the orders slowly as they seemed to be getting used to the new POS system. Customers didn't way too long, overall. My group ordered a Williamsburg, and pastrami egg and cheese. The garlic bagel with the Williamsburg felt a bit over baked as it was crunchy when I bit into it, and it wasn't supposed to be toasted either. I also asked for no onions, but there were still onions added. The pastrami sandwich was better, the bagel was a good chewiness and had good flavor with the everything bagel. Overall, not too bad. These bagels are top tier! I do really enjoy the coffee ice cubes and the flavored creamer and syrups - a pleasant surprise. They also will refill your coffee ice cubes while you dine in or wait. The service is fast and the team is helpful. I've been a few times and each time I notice how much effort they take with cleaning. The line/ waiting area can be a bit stressful but I usually find a corner and wait or a table. I highly recommend the hash brown. Another great addition to Lake Nona. read more

Downloaded the app. Went into the app and tried to order the items I wanted and it's broken and not clear when you're trying to order complex breakfast sandwiches. The item I wanted to buy their salmon, capers, onion etc samdwhich. is normally like $12 but for some reason configuring it properly in the app made it $20 No worries, a lot of small business apps are broken. I decided just to call the store and order. Right away when she answers the phone and I tell her I'd like to make a Takeaway order she tells me that they don't take orders over the phone anymore. I let her know that I couldn't place the order with the app and there wasn't really much she could say about it, but she also wouldn't take my order so I've just decided not to eat at this place anymore. If you wanna have the app - cool. If you wanna tell me on the phone you won't take my order, your app better work. Terrible customer service. read more

One of my go to breakfast places!! I have celiac so it's hard for me to find places that even do breakfast more than just gluten free toast on the side with eggs and bacon. If we're grading this as a sandwich on a circular bread-shaped object, it earns its points. BUT. As someone who grew up with real bagels (hello NJ/NY!), I feel morally obligated to say: this is not a bagel. Not a real one. And it's certainly not made with Brooklyn water unless Brooklyn moved to Central Florida and started drinking from a filtered Brita. This bagel is more like... Brooklyn's cousin who moved to Florida in 2004 and started wearing flip-flops to dinner. The texture? Too soft. No chew. No crust. More like a roll with everything seasoning and an identity crisis. I wanted that slight resistance, that bagel bite, but instead, it folded like a beach chair. Look, it's not a bad stop if you're local and your standards have been slowly eroded by palm trees and Publix. It IS one of the better ones as far as Florida bagels go. I have been to the goldenrod location many times and love it. Not really sure what happened with the Lake Nona location. It just wasn't the same! I went in 2 days in a row to give them a fair shot since my first day experience wasn't great. The location is good, the inside is pretty basic but it works for a bagel shop. Now here is the real reason for 2 stars ...the bagels! I ordered the Brooklyn on an everything bagel. Honestly the bagel was cold and kinda stale/hard in texture, and not a tasted hard, like it was frozen and recently thawed and cooked quickly. The insides egg, meat and cheese were hot and fresh but the bagel just ruined it. I asked a manager(guy standing around watching the team in training)! If the bagel should be warm and they took it and went to the back. He came back out with a new bagel sandwich, it was slightly warmer but still hard in texture. I figured they are new and let's just chalk it up to that. Things happen. The next day I figured let's try again....same thing...bagel was slightly warm but still hard in texture. Staff was good, coffee was good, but bagels just not on par. If they make bagels in house, they should be soft and fluffy. Not so much. I'll give them a few weeks and try again. Maybe things will change... or I'll just continue going to goldenrod location. read more

I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. Was excited for a quality bagel shop in the area to open. After our first visit, I don't think we will be back. The concept is great and it has a good coffee bar. But, the bagels themselves are lacking and like so many terrible quick service breakfast joints, the toaster must move at lightning speed because all bagels come out untoasted and lukewarm. I've eaten at many Brooklyn Water Bagels, and I'm super happy to have one in Lake Nona, especially since there really aren't any quality bagel shops in the area. Although, I wouldn't consider Brooklyn Water Bagel to have the "best" bagels ever, but compared to what we have currently, it'll do. My family has been there 3 times so far. On our first visit we asked one of the employees when did this location open up and they mentioned, at the time, they were open a week. We had no major complaints about the food, it seems they have worked out some of the kinks with some added room to grow. They do LATHER up the bagels with a lot of cream cheese or butter. You may want to ask for that on the side! The sandwiches are fairly big, you may detach a jaw. The coffee is fine, you'll have to spend some time fine tuning it at the coffee bar. The employees are friendly and the service is pretty quick for how busy they are. My major gripe is the location. It's a smaller Brooklyn Water Bagel, so the layout is weird. The ordering line wraps around the tables where you can tell people are not comfortable eating because it's a little too close for comfort. Then, the people waiting for their "to go" orders crowd around the coffee bar and block a lot of the access. You spend a good amount of time dancing around people in order to assemble your drink. It's just very tight and a little frustrating. The seating outside is a little more breathable, BUT wear some sunscreen, cause you'll be roasting with the umbrella-less tables and hope that a dumb-dumb parking their car doesn't ram into you while you're enjoying your bagels and loxs because there's no protection. It's a possibility that they may make some upgrades as time goes on, but in its current state, it just doesn't flow well. Good luck to this location, I hope it succeeds and improves! It was ok, but it was really sloppy. My sandwich fell apart and was so messy that it was a struggle and no longer enjoyable. The hash browns were gross though. They were soggy and tasted freezer burnt and had burnt black flakes all over them. The sandwich was just assembled really weird. The egg was so thick it overwhelmed the whole thing. They also slopped like half a container of cream cheese onto one sandwich. It was cold and must've been assembled that way because the cheese wasn't melted one bit. This was a to go order and I got coffee with cream and sugar, but it was dark and bitter so somebody is just making it to their own tastes. The muffin I got was really good though. I ordered a baconeggncheese on a plain bagel. It didn't take too long to get my order. I get my bagel and was instantly disappointed. I saw those McDonald's folded type eggs (you see in multiple pictures on here) which I already knew it was going to be a letdown. In a NY deli they actually crack the eggs in front of you etc.. My wife and I stopped in for lunch. It was our first visit to Brooklyn Water Bagel. We were greeted by a friendly, smiling face and we ordered a ham & cheese on bagel, with the $10 deal (drink and chips) along with a Taylor Pork roll on rye. I just came from the restaurant, it was very clean and the service was excellent. I ordered the Jersey Boy on an onion bagel. It was toasted nicely and the flavor was good but my biggest complaint was there was barely any pork roll on it . The slices were super thin and there may be three little slices. You honestly don't even taste it. For a $9 sandwich , that's my only complaint . I could have paid another $3 for extra but that just seemed a bit absurd for a breakfast bagel. So excited to have a BWB store in our neighborhood. I have visited there a few times since the opening and have had a positive experience each time. The store is always very clean and has been running smoothly on all my visits. The workers I have encountered have been nothing less of stellar. I have been warmly welcomed and served. I have watched as workers have restocked, cleaned, welcomed gyests, run orders, refilled coffee, and made friendly conversations with smiles on their faces. My food has been delicious.
