So the food is average. Nothing special. But The reason I keep coming back is the service and return of gluten free bakery items. Every time I come, I'm greeted with the most wonderful front staff who are always smiling and are very helpful. I'm sad I can't tip them through my card/apple phone. I'm behind getting this review up, but better late than never. What a great find this bakery is! My daughter was getting her hair done down the street and I needed to find somewhere for a yummy breakfast. Well, welcome to Great Harvest! They make their breads fresh every day - it smells like heaven in there and they also have several Gluten free items (bread and pastries). I have had the breakfast sandwich twice now - egg, bacon, cheese on gluten free bread. It was delicious. I also had a decaf latte, which was perfect. You order at the counter and then they will bring the food out to your table, or you can wait for it. The inside has a great vibe with nature stone and cute tables and chairs. You can easily spend a few hours here sipping on coffee, eating and working on your laptop. One of the days I was here, someone came in and started playing the piano. It was beautiful. They are also dog friendly for ordering. Meaning you can bring your leashed pooch in while you order - the floors are concrete. This is now a go to spot for me in downtown Orlando when I'm in the area. Definitely need to try more of the offered items. read more

We came here on a Saturday morning, have always been curious about this spot and drove by it many times. We ordered the loaded breakfast sandwich and the Cubano. Both sandwiches were delicious. The loaded breakfast sandwich was well balanced with tomato, cheese, bacon, and avocado. The cubano was savoury and the mojo pork was well seasoned and really stood out:; was certainly the most prominent participant of the sandwich. Would've gotten 5 stars but the tip screen options were a bit unwelcoming. The options were 15%, 18%, 20%, or no tip. There was no custom tip option. Literally have never seen that at an establishment where one orders at the counter. I understand that workers need to get paid, but it's ridiculous that a counter service place does not allow you to custom tip. read more

The bread from here is sooo good, especially the Cheddar Garlic Bread and Sundried Tomato Sourdough bread. The staff are so friendly and they usually give out samples of the bread. The smell in this place is so good. They have a lot of gluten free items too which is nice. This is a great lunch spot, I love the Grilled Cheese with Tomato, the Veggie Baja Sandwich, and Garden Salad. I love to order some bread to take home. As a frequent customer of this restaurant, literally multiple times a week for lunch, coffee, or just to grab a muffin or brownie , I loved that it was one of the very few places that I could get a sandwich with gluten-free bread and gluten-free pastry options, and gladly paid the up charge for a GF bread option. I am incredibly disappointed to hear that they no longer have these options. Not sure if it was an individual store or corporate decision but they are "phasing out "gluten-free options. I told the young lady behind the counter it was my first time as that I was still a little overwhelmed, but she was still kind of impatient with me. She did explain what I needed to know eventually- and after u gave her a good gratuity, she seemed to improve in attitude a bit. I had several things and was able to pick up them for a few days and they still were moist and didn't have that gluten-free flake crumble effect that most pastries do have. The coffee was fresh and not a perfect temperature and I plan to come back and get a breakfast sandwich as it came. Highly recommended by some of the patrons that were in line with me. The wait time was a little long to get serviced and you have to pay the meter for parking.-so next time when I go, I will definitely make sure I have more time so I can actually enjoy it instead of getting what I got to go. I received a gift card from a co-worker and decided to stop by during my lunch break on a Tuesday afternoon. I was greeted with a friendly face and excellent customer service at the register. I purchased the BLT and biting into this sandwich instantly shot me back to my childhood, sitting in my family home and having a sandwich that my Grandmother made. The nostalgia! It tasted like it was made with love. I also grabbed a bag of chips and had an iced vanilla and caramel latte that was so good, I went back for a second one before I returned to work. I'm honestly really torn writing this review because the Honey Wheat bread itself was some of the best bread I've ever had. Unfortunately, our experience after bringing it home was extremely difficult. We purchased a loaf on the morning of February 28. When we first got home, we noticed one or two small weevils but didn't think much of it at the time. By the next evening, when we opened our pantry, there were hundreds of weevils coming off the bread and spreading into nearby pantry items. We ended up having to throw away close to $300 worth of groceries (rice, pasta, and other dry goods), completely empty and deep clean the pantry, and involve pest control. Between food loss and treatment, the situation cost us close to $500 and a lot of stress. To the bakery's credit, they did respond to our email and said they inspected their flour and storage areas and did not find evidence of pests, and they offered to refund or replace the loaf. However, they were unwilling to consider the broader impact of what happened in our home, which was disappointing given the scale of the problem we experienced. I understand that pantry infestations can have multiple sources, but the timing and the fact that we initially saw the insects on the bread made the situation very concerning for us. Again, the bread itself was delicious, and I genuinely wanted to love this place. I just wish the resolution had reflected the seriousness of what we experienced. read more

Trust me that you'll want to visit this place!! Fresh baked breads, pastries, sandwiches and other things. They have house made granola and oatmeal. And best of all they have gluten free items! You can even get your fur babies some treats. They also have packages of local business teas. They also have some samples of various items throughout the day. When we came in obviously the tea bags caught my eye since I love tea. Had to get me a bag especially shoves it's from a local company that has no store front.
