We were in the mood for bagel sandwiches while staying in Orlando, so we looked for a spot near our Airbnb and found Deli Desires. It wasn't too far and looked really good. We didn't realize they only offer bialys or sesame buns, but we were all pleasantly surprised and happy with our choices. Everyone except me ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on different bialys like jalapeño & Muenster, everything, and caramelized onion. I ordered the bacon sandwich on a jalapeño & Muenster bialy, which was delicious. My sandwich came with bacon, an over-medium egg, and smoked jalapeño cream cheese, all perfectly toasted. There were no complaints from anyone, honestly, we all ate in silence, which says a lot because we were too busy enjoying the food. The only downside is that it's not much of a dine-in spot, as they only have high-top tables and no chairs. I also got an iced cinnamon latte, which was not overly sweet and had a great espresso flavor. One of my friends ordered a hot lavender latte and really enjoyed it. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures! If we lived closer, we'd definitely come here more often. read more

Would have been really yummy with hot sauce (which they did give to me but I couldn't open the packet lol so I just have to imagine). Didn't try their coffee but it looked good as well. A nice to know: it's takeaway only, so there's no seating inside. Didn't bother me because I wasn't planning to dine in. This place is pretty good! I got a latke breakfast sandwich. Didn't realize that the default for the breakfast sandwiches was a roll and not a bialy so just keep that in mind! The sheet pan style latke was a little mushier than I would have liked but the flavor was great (I prefer a really crispy latke). The sandwich overall was filling and tasty but pretty expensive especially if you make any modifications. The staff is super nice and writing our names on the bags is a cute touch. I had heard great things about this place, and while it was very tasty, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I ordered the egg and latke sandwich, and made a few modifications which brought it to $18. That's pretty ridiculous for an egg sandwich, especially considering that I was subbing ingredients rather than adding them. They also still put the cheese on my sandwich even though I had ordered cream cheese instead. The latke also isn't very crispy and slides off the sandwich, so I ended up eating it separately, and it did have a very nice flavor. The service was fairly quick and the employees were nice, I liked the added touch of writing our names in bubble letters on the bags. The inside does not have any seating but has two small standing tables. It definitely is meant more for takeout, but would be nice to have a few more seating options for people coming from out of town. While I really enjoyed my sandwich, it just wasn't worth it for the price and seating situation in my opinion. read more

Deli Desires satisfied desires I didn't know I had. Deli Desires has been around since Covid-19 times, but I'm just discovering it now and I'm glad I did. Deli Desires came from two people who realized during Covid-19 that they wanted to deliver food to people and make them a little happier. Now Orlando doesn't have too many delis, but this one surprised me with how good the food is. Located at 715 N Fern Creek Ave Suite B, Orlando, FL 32803 near downtown Orlando and Mills Ave district. They have a small parking lot but it's not too hard to locate. When I walked in, I was greeted with bright blue decor, that New York deli counter feel, a wall of community events and happenings, and great customer service. The person who took my order was so nice and asked about my day and we just yapped while I waited for my food. They have bialys there. I've never heard of that or seen that, but it was cool to see something new. I got the latke breakfast sandwich on an onion bialys. Good gracious, it was good. It was so damn good. This sandwich is a 10/10. They packaged it like a deli and I ate it on the go. It travels well, in case you were wondering. This place hands down makes the best breakfast sandwich I've had in Orlando. I've tried the bacon and egg on the jalapeño bialy absolutely delicious! I've also tasted the egg salad sandwhich and their version of a Big Mac made with corned beef--both were seriously good. The staff is always super nice and welcoming. A couple of things to note: there's no indoor seating it is a small location with a couple of tables you can only stand around. Also the parking lot is pretty small, so parking can be a bit of a hassle during busy times. I tried one of their seasonal lattes, the tomato leaf latte. This was probably one of the most unique lattes I've had. It had a floral and citrusy note to it, and was a bit savory on the end, almost reminding me of basil leaf. Absolutely delicious combination. I ordered the Gravlax for my meal. It was extremely messy to eat. There was a bit too much cream cheese and tomato for my liking. Everything was spilling out which made it hard to eat, and I didn't get much salmon until more in the middle. The Is was my first time having a bialy, and while the flavor was good, I wasn't a fan of the texture. I thought it was a bit too crusty and chewy to enjoy fully. I heard about this delightful little hole in the wall from a LemonHearted post so we decided to come check it out! Service was great and they were very accommodating in letting me make a custom sandwich. The sandwich and the iced orange latte was delicious! My only 2 downsides were the waiting time (even though there was no one infront of us in line when we ordered we waited around 25 mins for our food) and then the pricing which was very steep in my opinion. It is a Small little take out spot but there are some tables off in a courtyard you can sit at if you'd like. I had the latkes sandwich and my husband and son both had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. They were each roughly around $12. Which may seem high to some but I have zero issue paying for good quality food, and this was fresh and good quality. My only complaint is the price they charged for drinks. A can of basic Diet Coke was $4 and their drip coffee was also nearly $6. We stopped by here for a quick to-go breakfast one day on our way to Disney's Animal Kingdom. I had heard of the legend of these bialys for a long time, and I just knew it was time to finally come and have one. The place is a hole in the wall tucked away diagonally from the Mills-50 intersection. It's takeout orders only, with a few small waiting tables inside. Very warm and inviting, the ambiance and the people inside. Very nice experience. As for the food itself, we got two bialys. I got the Bacon (Egg, Smoked Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese), and I also got to try the Veggie Deluxe (Pickled Veggie Cream Cheese, Tomato, Radish, Herb Salad, Marinated Cucumber, & Red Onion). Both were incredible. The bread was crisp and delightfully textured on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. A nice big hole, but still able to contain all the toppings within pretty well. The Bacon was as it sounded. Crispy bacon, a well-fried egg, and ooey gooey cheese that drips everywhere. The veggie caught me off guard with how good it was. The pickled, the creamy cheese, the bite from the radish, the different bite from the red onion. Crispy and fresh and really good! Do recommend. Overall, I recommend this place very much. Every bit of it was delicious, and there are endless amount of customizable combinations you can make. I will probably be back many more times before the end. read more

I have been here numerous times and never had a bad experience. Today I tried the Rueben and it had so much corned beef on it along with some really good sauerkraut & spicy mustard. For the uninitiated bialys are bagels that are baked instead of boiled. So a little softer and lighter as a result. Definitely recommend the white fish! I ordered the scrapple and it was delicious; the combination of the flavor of the pork and the dukes mayo was 10/10. So last weekend we visited this spot because we have seen great reviews and passed by it a couple times. Although mills has amazing spots and franchises, this one definitely hit the spot for a great bagel breakfast ! To our surprise wasn't as crowded, but really loved the interior design and the location. Not too obvious, but yet subtle and hidden from the main strip. Parking lot is a bit smaller , but still wasn't too crowded for a great Sunday morning. I decided to order the B.E.C which is bacon, egg, and cheese on a caramelized onion bagel. Deli desires is home to one of my favorite sandwiches - the corned beef Big Mac. I tried it once months ago and have been dreaming about it ever since. This weekend, we placed a big order for breakfast and I was once again reunited with this beauty of a sandwich. Their bialy bread is a wonderful vehicle for this corned beef. It's topped with special sauce, house made pickles, cheese and just enough lettuce to cut thru the indulgent ingredients.
