When we walked in, we stood by the door for 10 mins waiting for someone to talk to us. A young girl working walked by MANY times and even made eye contact but if we went to say something - she would turn the other way. Even the bartender was staring at us but didn't say a word. Eventually we had to follow her to ask her if we sets ourselves or if we must wait... she responded "yeah sit wherever that's how this place works" (are bad we had never been here before...) Once we found a table in the back we figured someone would come hand us menus, the same worker even walked by to hand another table their check and nothing! After 15 mins waiting we left. I certainly hope no one else gets treated like this here, but I am so sad... I wanted to love this place, it was so cute!

Tribu features an array of unique wines, champagnes, espressos, and smoothies, complemented by small plates perfect for sharing. The atmosphere is ideal for a tranquil conversation. They have an elegant bar top and a cozy fireplace, this adds to its charm, making it ideal to unwind after spa treatments or a sophisticated night out. Crispy Chic Peas, Red Pepper Hummus, Burrata. Cheese Board are all very popular dishes to try at Tribu. The taste and presentation of these items do not disappoint. During my visit I had the Vetiver from their rotating cocktail menu. This was a bold yet flavorful blend of botanicals mixed with mezcal. Their signature Espresso Martini is not be missed. Tribu has limited seating so it's best to call the Sacred Hour Lakewood spa ahead and making a reservation. For a tranquil visit with yummy shareable plates and flavorful drinks, one can't go wrong with Tribu.

I was excited to stop in for a cocktail. We love finding quaint new places with an interesting appeal and from afar this certainly met those details. However, we stopped in this past Saturday, for my daughter's birthday celebration. I was super pumped to come back - ( see sentences above! ) Anyway, 4 of us walked in ( there would be a total of 6 ) and while yes it's small, not too small for a small party of 6. There was a couple at the bar and a girl who was drinking a mimosa in a robe so I think it's safe to assume she was getting a treatment from the spa. We had been inside about 10-15 minutes with no bar tender or staff to be seen. I saw the couple received their drinks but while we were taking pics, I never saw a staff member- so I asked them if there was anyone taking orders. He said yes, they were in other room. Still nobody coming out. Our other two members of our party arrived and we looked at menus and still no one. Finally, a girl comes out. Walks over, does not even say hello, and says: do you want drinks?!?! We put our orders in and 1 minute later she comes out and says, um this table is reserved ( or something close to that ) in 20 minutes and actually we will probably need both tables soooo.........so I guess that was our que to say never mind. I guess had they come out and taken our order when we first arrived it would have been fine, but we weren't looking to do shots with our full size drinks. No apologies or anything just like ok bye when we said we would go somewhere else. So here's my input: 1. Sacred Hour- do not advertise this space to the outside community if you can only accommodate your clients that are receiving services. 2. Train your staff. A hello, A greeting, something, anything. Not - "do you want drinks?!" That in itself was so distasteful. Not to mention the prices of drinks are not cheap. This is an upscale place ( or appears to be ) 3. Bottom line- we will not return. Quite honestly, I'm not sure if I would return back to this location for my spa services either. I think that people have forgotten how to be courteous and polite. People do not realize ( or maybe they do and just don't care ) that the reason they stay in business is because of their customers. Treating your customers with kindness is epic. You know the old saying - you get more bees with honey?!? Well, Tribu- maybe you should rethink this and add it to your training instead of coffee or tea!

We sat on the front patio, ordered drinks, appetizers and dinner...it was hard to pass on dessert but our meals were fabulous and filling. The shrimp tostado was bold, grilled and mashed full of flavor, it was hard to believe it wasn't authentic. Next up, the olive tapenade was the perfect blend of salty and brine, especially on house made focaccia with oodles of butter! The cod dish with a one of my favorites, I order it often and well tonight I kept it consistent. The cod is cooked perfectly, it's firm, light and full of buttery lobster flavor, thanks to the lobster burblanc. The chicken pasta dish was also delicious, not too bold, but full of comforting flavor. Our server Nestor was friendly, quick, accommodating and full of helpful tips. We will be back again, the specials always sell out quickly, the menu is fresh and well the staff are pretty great too.

They both told me, "We don't care," but the owner clearly did. The food was very good. The crème brûlée was delicious, with a rich, creamy custard and a unique deconstructed presentation with phyllo dough. Unfortunately, the owner's reaction overshadowed what could have been a great dining experience. In my opinion, she should let her husband handle the front of the house. The crowd ranges from busy to minimal and we received pretty good service both times. It can be kind of difficult because there are typically 10 of us so I think we typically have to wait a bit, but they do a pretty good job handling us. This place is very divey but still enjoyable. They have an assortment of vintage hanging lamps above the tables and that is my favorite detail. They have had some kind of music going on every time that we go, which I think would be fun if we weren't there for book club. I definitely want to come back here a time when I'm not discussing a book lol but the music is never too loud that we can't have a conversation. We are always here for happy hour and they have some great options. I always end up getting the $5 wine. They also make an excellent girl dinner with their house fries (basically Parmesan truffle fries) and chicken caesar salad. I have gotten this every time and I will continue to get it because it is perfect. I definitely suggest Wine Dive if you're looking for a fun easy place to go for happy hour!

A little elevated, but still a dive. They have a large wine list, including bottles, wine by the glass, and some draft wines. The place is pretty spacious. I believe it encompasses the old El Carnicero restaurant and another bar that must have been next door. Seems like that took down a wall to make a really big spot. They have two bars and a small stage for bands, etc. The real surprise was the food. We just got a few things to snack on and couldn't stop. The sweet chili fried cauliflower was absolutely delicious. Probably one of the best fried cauliflowers that I've had in a long time. It was super crunchy with just the right amount of sauce. It was not soggy at all. We also got the popcorn. I forgot what the seasoning on it was, but it was addictive. Last we got some truffle Parmesan fries. They came with two sauces, one was a spicy mayo and the other I can't remember. Both sauces were great to dip the fries in and the large Parmesan pieces were a delight. Definitely a cool place in Lakewood to host an event or see a show.
