We had another terrific shopping experience at this Brooks Brothers outlet. Ron was an excellent salesman, and a couple of other gentlemen assisted us a bit, too. All were friendly, and they knew the store well. We picked up a couple of sweaters, some underwear and placed a mail order (which was promptly delivered). There's a good stock here: suits, sweaters, pants, coats, casual and dressy, and pretty good discounts on almost everything we looked at. The tore is clean and roomy, lots of free parking outside, and overall ours was a very good experience. This duplicated a visit here last year when we were helped quickly with a return. Another excellent experience with Brooks Brothers. They had a good selection of 50% off items although no children's section, the closest one being in Freeport. The staff were friendly and helpful and the manager honored the 15% off on the Tangers website. As always I left with stylish, high quality classic clothing at reasonable prices. I am so incredibly disappointed. I have have been with Brooks Brothers for suits and everything plus for 20 years. Also my companies are all Brooks brothers as well suiting. I mainly shop in the 1818 stores and coming to this store was the biggest disappointment I have ever had. The black guy there was personable welcoming knowledgeable attentive and seriously on point. Amazing job and this review has nothing to do with you! You were exceptional! The great guy had to go to lunch. Then let's go to the other guy. Acted like the manager or someone pretending to have power. First off. He was in jeans? Jeans? Jeans? In a Brooks brothers store? That doesn't make sense. He looked like a slob. He was just plain rude. He was extremely dismissive. After the whole time being there he couldn't be less helpful or even look us in the eyes. He was only trying to get us out the door? We bought over $1000 in items? You would think you would want a paying customer to stay? He is not the brand. He is pathetic. He is so incredibly unwelcoming no wonder others have mentioned him before. Other people in the store that have been there before even mentioned that this guy was rude and disrespectful. Brooks brothers I'll be going to your corporate site too about this but get rid of this guy. It weakens you brand and no one wants to come here if he's here. This seemed like the first place for me to visit in my search for a suit. Yes, I suddenly need a suit for work and it's so NOT my idea. Normally they keep me in the back, away from the customers but we're trying something new and I'm going to be out there. So we walk in, headed for the suits, and it all went horribly wrong. There are two guys working the Men's Suits section. They both (just my opinion) look like crap. I could be wrong about this, but don't I want the guy who's showing me suits to wear something that looks decent on him? Or at the very least, to stand up and greet me instead of sitting in a very low cheap metal folding chair? And yes, I checked to be sure he wasn't in a wheelchair before I decided it was rude. I looked at my wife and said that there's no way these two guys are helping me to look professional. Then we wandered around the store and I found a pair of khakis with ducks embroidered all over them. They were horrible. If the pants were cheap, I would have bought them, worn them to work, and said "I bought the suit, just wait until you see the jacket!" But the pants were like $90 and I'm way too cheap for that kind of a joke. Finally, there were a pair of shorts with Whales all over them. The whales reminded me of the one on the old and locally famous Yoken's sign (http://www.agilitynut.com/p/yokens.jpg), and I thought that if the sign had been reproduced on the shorts, I could show up in the most inappropriate work clothing since a co-worker who shall remain nameless found a creative use for two propeller hats. Yes, I work in a strange place. Anyway, we tried to salvage the trip by walking around the women's section but my wife didn't have any more luck that I did. Okay, in fairness to the store, I have to say that if someone knew their way around a Brooks Brothers and knew what they were looking for, it would be worth checking out this store. I didn't actually talk to those sales guys in the suits department and they may have been amazing, but I'll let someone else make that call. There are some deals to be found here! I got a pair of leather flats for 40 (80% off!) and my husband got two pairs of pants for around 100. The frustrating thing that many other people mentioned is the service. I had the shoebox in my hand and was looking around and an employee tried to take the box out of my hand and ring me up. I asked her for a place to try on the shoes and she directed me to a folding chair in a corner. She then tried to take the shoes again and I explained I was waiting for my husband just felt very pushy, like they work on commission and she wanted the credit. We were also not given the full discount on one pair of pants and had to go back and have it adjusted. read more

Brooks Brothers better rethink this stores staff. Honestly all of the staff here was out right rude, lazy and I had more customer service from the Jockey outlet than this famous high end retailer. This staff would never the Boston store. 3/4 of the staff was joking around and just chatting it up with each other a few pretended like they were working. One woman just stood in the same place folding the same items of clothing over and over again. I was in the store for 40 min. My wife was shopping for an outfit and not a SINGLE person helped her through the process. I was looking at sports coats and I usually need a 44 or 46 Short. A sales person walked up to me and said .. " Well that would never fit ... may be your wife wants you to lose weight to fit into that jacket." I was flabbergasted What happened Brooks Brothers .... shame you have lost your way and what made you a great store to shop in. I doubt we will be back to this store read more

Sounds like they may have listened to the yelp reviews, because I had both ridiculously good service and prices. I've been to a lot of BB outlets, but this location takes the cake. Friendly service and (today, at least) 70% off! They were very helpful and I got an extra discount for being a AAA member. Everyone was friendly and they had a great selection. read more

Just went into this store for my husband to find a shirt for a wedding. While he shopped, my daughter and I were browsing through the accessories. A female sales lady asked if we needed help. 5 seconds later asked again if we needed help and again I said "No we are just looking around." Then she positioned herself right next to us and kept looking at us as if we were going to shoplift. Very rude and blatantly racist. She didn't guard any other Caucasians in the store. She kept her eyes on the Asian minority with a toddler. Ridiculous. Will never come in this store. read more

This is the only outlet within Kittery that I think has true bargains. I went during Memorial Day weekend and select merchandise was 80% off. I got a new dress shirt for $14.67. Can't do much better than that. The outlet itself is still a bit pricey, but there are real bargains to be had during big sales. read more

You won't find giant markdowns, and Brooks Brothers makes a special 346 brand for its outlets, but the clothes are still quality, and 40-60% off Brooks Brothers is significant. $40 for a shirt isn't cheap, but it is cheap for Brooks Brothers. We were in the Kittery BB outlet over Columbus Day Weekend and had an exceptional experience. Like others have said, the store must be reading these comments because the entire staff was polite, attentive, and motivated to help us. We purchased 6 pairs of pants and 8 shirts the previous weekend and found that we needed a price adjustment. The issue required the store manager's (Kate) involvement and she was incredibly helpful - she called other stores, did the necessary research, and used much of her own time to ensure that we had been charged fairly. She went above the call of duty - a huge confirmation that this is a store with which we should continue to do business. read more

So I was in this store over president's day weekend and was interested in their 2 suits for $499. I had gift cards and vouchers and when all said and done should have been no more than $375. Well after I purchased a pair of pants for one of the suits since they didn't have the jacket or the other suit which would be shipped to me; the snooty "flamboyant" sales guy (who were a brown turtleneck and matching pants- total clash and he's selling clothes) could not get the math straight and kept getting a figure over the sale price! Hello?? He was a snot about it and stressed he was right. Having an MBA, I asked him why is it totaling more than their sale price after my discounts? Makes no sense. He couldn't answer me. He insisted he knew what he was doing. Obviously not. I think his off centered side burns must have messed up his brain and math skills. to boot there was an older gentleman that was in that metal folding chair that was reprimanding people for trying on too many shirts. All because he didn't want to fold them back. HELLO! You are in retail man! Do yourselves a favor, skip this location, they SUCK! Go up north further or go to Wrentham. I went in to look at suits not expecting to buy. The selection was very good and the sales were very good. After only a few minutes the sales assistant - Andrea - came by to help. She was excellent, friendly, very helpful with size/selection/color. We couldn't find the size I wanted for the pants to a suit so she called around the nation, found a pair in NY, coordinated having them shipped to my house. Very nice service, A+ for Andrea! And the rest of the staff were happy, smiling, and having fun. All good signs from a customer experience perspective. I walked out with 2 suits at a great price. read more
