On my first trip here, I failed to notice just how small the footprint of the store is. Additionally, roughly 2/3 of the space is devoted to men's clothes. Which probably explains why I thought there was just about zero selection for the women. It's still a small space for the women's clothing. There's not much of it but at least now right before the holiday frenzy begins, the store is reasonably stocked. There are a selection of sizes. There are some great colors. The sales are definitely on the gentle side. But they'll work their way up to the holiday frenzy in no time at all. Thanks to my doctor changing my medication's, I will be involuntarily losing weight. I hope it settles down soon probably around the New Year's. I'll have to check back then to see if there's anything left. read more

Came to the outlets to do some shopping, and stumbled upon some lovely sales. The guy was looking for a shirt to go with his suit for a wedding we will be attending, and scored a super sale! The store is well organized with women's clothing to the left and men's to the right. The clothing display racks are made of stained wood giving a posh look to the store. This is the norm in all their stores, retail and outlet alike. The mannequins were dressed and styled well, even with costume jewelry. However this particular location did not carry women's petite sizes. Shucks. The staff here are super attentive, friendly, and not intrusive. But I'm a shopper that if I need assistance, I will ask. I do not need to be fawned over. Brooks brothers clothes are of excellent quality and shout out classic traditional sophistication in clean modern lines. The prices are a bit steep but the clothes are made of superior material that are meant to last more than a season, actually several years. read more

Not able to arrange for sale with delivery from other stores in the Brooks Bother chain - Disappointed I was interested in purchasing several men's swimsuits in XL offered on sale. There was no available stock in this store location. I asked the sales person if any of thier other stores had stock in XL. I was told there were several stores that had inventory but I would be required to make purchases in person. I had just finished making purchases at the Polo store and J Crew next door with the same out of stock in store situation. Both stores were able to check stock (out of store - company wide) and complete the sale, and arrange for delivery. I am surprised and disappointed that I am unable to do the same type of transaction in Brooks Brothers I am really pleased with the fit of your swimsuits but it looks as though I will be purchasing from another retailer. The salesperson was very helpful but it seems her hands are tied to tight to make a sale. read more

When I went into this store about two weeks ago I felt very unsettled when I left. I was on a Valentine's Getaway with my husband and we were strolling around doing some shopping. We found this store appealing and decided to check it out. When we entered The sales associate stared at me up and down. I let that go and continued to look around but the vibe I received was " I shouldn't be in here and what am I doing in there" I tried on some dresses and she continued to stare at me as if I needed to just leave. I loved this store and the clothing but unfortunately I decided I would purchase items online instead of staying in there being racially profiled. It's very sad to see people work in a business that has great quality clothing and their customers leave the premises the way I did. read more

This is to the blond woman who is a manager or an employee at this factory outlet store: Thank you for being unhelpful, dismissive, not open to listening to my concerns, and literally turning around and walking away from me when I tried to speak to you, and wanted some more help. Also thank you for your fake enthusiasm when I first walked in the store. Just because you are having a bad day does not give you the right to take it out on your customers. Will not be returning. I am an old (67), retired and I noticed one day, walking past a store window and seeing my reflection, that I was starting to resemble a peasant. Good heavens! Too much time in Vallejo, where there are no quality clothing stores and little real traditional attire was my plea. My disdain for low quality goods oriental kept me from shopping there. You can get a bag of bud, or a hot pistol without much worry, but the stock of men's furnishings is rather sparse. The Brothers Brooks maintain a high bar, both in price and quality (there may be some relationship there, no?), and as a retired person, I thought it was beyond my limited reach. Ah. There is an outlet store! So I trimmed my toenails and put on my best pair of Birkenstocks and made the drive to the Outlet Plaza in Napa. Before long, I was plunking down hundreds for garments that would normally require treasury bills to obtain. First visit, I dropped a mere $300 and came away looking like a bank president. Where does Anderson Cooper get his ties? I've got a pretty good idea now. The outlet store is filled to the gunwales with high quality merchandise at very low prices (i.e.: $700 pea coat, Italian wool, cost: $135. Silk ties, 3/$99.00. Oh it goes on and on.) Point two: Staff is friendly, they know their stuff and where it is and if it will fit you. You can ask them anything. "What is the formula for the volume of a sphere?" Go ahead. I dare ya. They don't fawn over you. They'll leave a grumpy old man like myself to mull things over before he asks for help. Then they're on you like white on rice. That suits my personal taste in customer service--they're there when you ask for help, but give you space to think without up-selling or hovering. Point three: On dressing in the clothes you buy here, very superficial people fawn over you. You will notice people treat you differently if you up-dress. It may well be that the (in my case) false scent of money spurs this sycophancy. Don't forget the haircut, though. Nobody loves Irwin Corey anymore. read more

Was heading to a wedding in Calistoga Ranch, and had loaded up the car with wife and brood... and then panic struck when I realized that I had failed to load my shirt with my suit. I quickly charted found this location, called the store l, told them my predicament. The kind lady asked for my size, color of shirt etc.. When I arrived at the store they had actually pressed the shirt and had it in the ready at the counter... what an awesome surprise... Last week I came to the Napa outlets in search for the perfect suit for my wedding. After visiting 4 previous storefronts I felt discouraged. Then I stumbled upon Brooks Brothers. Words can't express the appreciation I have for the two hardworking individuals on that Saturday afternoon. Tracy, the store manager, spent two hours with me helping me try on different suit jackets and pants. I'm 6'5" and have found it difficult to find suits that fit me comfortably. Tracy's fitting expertise allowed her to pinpoint my size. Unfortunately, they didn't have my size in their store at the time but she was able to get my size shipped in from New York. She waved the shipping fee and it took about 7 days to arrive. While Tracy was assisting me, Dino was able to handle the other customers as they trickled in. Throughout the two hours I was in this store, I never felt rushed, forgotten, or pressured to purchase anything I didn't feel comfortable in. Tracy provided an above and beyond experience. I walked in there expecting to pay $800-$1000. I walked away paying $299 for a suit jacket and matching pants.
