Oxbow Public Market is a fun, eclectic spot. There's a great mix of local vendors offering everything from olive oil and books to groceries, specialty foods, and plenty of delicious dining options. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it's an easy place to spend some time browsing and relaxing. Since it was close to our hotel, we stopped in to pick up items for a picnic and shared an incredible sandwich from Loveski's Deli--it was absolutely delicious! The staff throughout the market were friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back on our next visit to Napa. read more

Marketplace or food market that has plenty of food options and merchants where you can buy products as well as produce. I feel like this spot along with the Ferry Building in SF ushered in the popularity of this model of this type of market - at least in California. Depending on where you go or eat, service is going to vary, but I've always interacted with wonderful folks here. I've been here a few times now with 3/2026 being my most recent visit. We came here to pick up some items for breakfast in the coming week and walked/looked around for some fun small bites. With 20 plus vendors along with the surrounding businesses and restaurants, this is just a fun place to visit whenever you're in the Napa area. I unfortunately had to watch my alcoholic beverage intake because I was driving, but it would be great to try a few of the many available options of wine offered at the vendors. Parking: there's a pretty large lot and there's a lot of parking long the street in the surrounding area, but parking can still be a bit hectic due to the popularity of this spot. read more

A lovely selection of artesian foods, crafts, and of course wines! I would equate this to a food lovers elevated version of a farmers market that is not for the bargain hunter. Dedicated parking lot, can get crowded on weekends. I loved walking through the building and browsing. We had a 2:30 PM reservation at Domaine Carneros, so we stopped by Oxbow Public Market to grab a quick bite before our wine tasting. Oxbow has so many great food choices, but we ended up choosing Hog Island Oyster Co and it ended up being the perfect lunch spot! They were packed and service was a touch slow at the bar but the food completely made up for it. We shared fresh oysters, my bf ordered Po'Boy sandwich with pickled veggies, and I ordered the grilled squid salad. I was hesitant about ordering the salad at first, but it completely blew me away! The tender grilled squid and mushrooms in a light dressing were so fresh and delicious! Definitely the ultimate light lunch before wine tasting. Oxbow has a wonderful vibe, outdoor seating, and plenty of food choices. The parking lot is small, but street parking is permitted nearby. The market is a must stop whenever I am in the area. Perfect when you go with multiple people to Napa as it offers different types of restaurants, from small bites, desserts, drinks and sit down restaurants this market has it all. There is plenty of parking which is a convenient. The selection of food ranges from sushi, Mexican, bagels, wine, chocolates, cupcakes and many more. You can find different options for all budgets. A must visit spot for anyone visiting Napa. There's countless shops in this building all serving something different. There was a sushi spot, Jewish deli, El Poeteño which sells empanadas, Hog Island who specializes in oysters. So many places. Many of these places have their own brick and mortar's through the region. Knowing that we won't have to travel so far to try those popular spots is a nice luxury. Parking was scarce. Inside was packed as people pass by without so much as an "excuse me." There's plenty of indoor seating to sit down and enjoy the snacks or dishes you just purchased. Oxbow was a very fun and happening place. It's lively and full of a great mix of cultures. I can't wait to return. Only a stone throws away from Sacramento I believe that to be real soon. read more

Decent market with a variety of food stalls and indie food grocery options inside. There's Gotts across the street but other than that Hog Island is there if you want a boujier option. The little green market inside had interesting stuff I was looking at the coffee and no one offered to help me understand what I was looking at and where stuff came from. They don't allow dogs inside and the only outdoor seating seemed to be owned by some restaurant. Overall it was okay, I didn't buy or eat anything . read more

Came here a couple times -- I only wish it was bigger / had a wider selection of vendors because they've got really good stuff there but it felt more like a mini market to me, but it was cool nonetheless. I usually come to get some trinkets and of course the snacks lol whether it be the fresh variety of fruits, the chocolates, etc. But overall, it's a good market place. Just wish it had more vendors and a bigger parking lot because it's always packed regardless if it's on a weekday or weekend... at least when I went a couple times, I circled around a few times before grabbing a parking spot. I was really excited to visit this market. And it actually surprised me. I was expecting a bigger type market but it was like an indoor, cozy, high-end food court with additional vendors. I know there's a term coined for this besides 'market' but not sure what it is. Me and my daughter were hungry so b-lined to Sumo Dog. Not necessarily a hot dog person but I am a fan of asian food. We split the Bacon Banh Mi. It was surprisingly my favorite. Also ate at Moroccan Street Food and split a flatbread with grilled chicken. Pretty tasty. Next visited El Porteno empanadas and ordered banana and pollo. One savory and one sweet. Also had to try Kara's Cupcakes - vanilla coconut. I only can imagine that this place can get tight if there were more people but I liked the vibe and all the food options. Everything was delicious. A tourist attraction worth visiting in Downtown Napa. This market offers a variety of options, including modern American cuisine, Mexican cuisine, pizza, chocolates, cheese, olive oils, wines, baked goods, and a mini farmers' market. Easy to walk around, less crowded, but the food is decent. Not much Asian food here. Dining here can be pricey. Highly recommend trying out fresh oysters at Hog Island. There's outdoor seating available. Service is based on indoor market vendors. The parking lot is small, so I had to park across the street. read more

I didn't take very many pictures at the Oxbow market but there are a lot of options inside of the market whether it is coffee or a quick bite or later when they open up the restaurant and bar, there's something for everyone. We ate at Love-ski and had coffee at ritual. At Love-ski we ordered mini latkes and a pastrami bagel sandwich and both are very good. At ritual, we ordered a drip coffee and a pumpkin latte coffee which was also very good. We were there at 9:30 in the morning, so most of the stuff was not open yet, but there were a few shops that were, and we plan on going back to take a look around later in the day. The coffee and the food were decently priced for the area so it's an easy grabbing go place. Service both places was good also. read more

This is a wonderful market area just outside of downtown Napa. They have their own dedicated parking area for while you shop and eat. Restrooms are located outside the main entrance. The market has high ceilings with natural lighting, many diverse restaurants, food stores and groceries, a brewery tap room, plus a quick walk around the island to other small restaurants and shopping areas. They have outdoor and indoor seating as well. I perused all the stores and explored but wasn't really here to purchase a lot. If I was staying nearby, this would easily be a place for multiple stops to try different restaurants. read more

It's almost like a grocery/eating spot mini mall or building, almost like a food court inside a mall. They've got all kinds of places to eat, sit down, takeout, you name it. This is a very cute marketplace to visit if you're in Napa or in the neighboring cities! You can probably spend 45 minutes to an hour walking around the market and looking at the local booths. Great spot to get souvenirs for yourself or others too. There's also a good amount of stores near the Oxbow Public Market to roam into. Out of most of the stores, I enjoyed trying out the empanadas and the spice store for fun. read more

This market is on the smaller side, but the shops inside make it worth a visit. One of my favorites was The Olive Press, an olive oil and balsamic store. They press their own locally grown olives once a year and offer a huge variety of oils and vinegars. I loved that they had self-serve samples so you can taste before buying. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they sell everything from small bottles to gift sets--even by the ounce, which makes for great souvenirs. Another highlight was the Cheese and Wine Merchant in the corner. They carry all kinds of cheeses, and I tried a triple cream Brie for the first time--rich, creamy, and indulgent since it's 75% butter fat. Perfect with some fresh bread from the market. The market also has practical amenities like restrooms outside the building, a water fountain, and a central dining area with stalls arranged around the perimeter. At the front, there's a small produce market, and we also tried Sumo Dog, a hot dog spot with unique and fun toppings. As expected, prices are higher than what you'd find outside, but the variety and quality make it a nice place to wander, sample, and enjoy a taste of Napa. read more

I love the Oxbow Public Market ~ conveniently located in downtown Napa, I also love the convenience of parking here too. There is a special lot. So really, it's a win/win all around! The Oxbow offers a great array of elevated restaurant vendors ~ a few favorites include Gott's, Model Bakery, and Kara's Cupcakes. There is truly something for everyone here, and even if you're not coming to the Oxbow for yourself, this is equally a great spot to grab a gift. Napa Bookmine for books/cards/knick knacks and the Oxbow Cheese & Wine Merchant are great gifting-driven spots. Other vendors include a pizza spot called Live Fire Pizza, Moroccan street food from Moro, sips from Bar Lucia and Fieldwork, and fun new(er) spots like Sumo Dog and Loveski. I can't wait to come back already and try the signature style hot dogs including the Miso Katsu Dog, Bacon Banh Mi, and even the Loco Moco Dog..how cool! On this trip I grabbed a Matzoh Ball Soup from Loveski (so comforting) and a few cupcakes for dine-in at Kara's Cupcakes (big fans of the Vanilla Coconut). From poki bowls to empanadas, there's so many other unique options. Fun to check out a few spots + split with your crew, friendly staff at each locale, and I would say fair pricing for the area. If you are in downtown Napa, you need to come here. Get your chocolates from Anettes. I love their Cabernet dark chocolate truffle. Aglio Olio E Pepperoncino from Whole Spice a must! Get a couple cupcakes from Kara's. Oxbow has a great vibe inside & out. Clean building, nice staff, plenty of options for food. read more

Are you hungry but not sure what you are hungry for? Oxbow is probably the place for you. With a good selection of dining and a few shops to check out, this small market should be on your list of places to visit while in Napa. I hit Oxbow up between lunch and dinner for a quick snack. I don't know how busy things get during peak hours, but off hours there were not major waits for a few seats at even their most popular dining bars. They layout is convenient to navigate and they have a parking lot should you be driving. It is only a short walk from the busy park of main street Napa. Check them out! read more

Atmosphere - Decent size location. Small parking lot, but now there is a new parking lot/overflow lot, approximately a block away. Open 7 days a week till 9pm. But really, the majority of the businesses are closed before then. Service - N/A. Again, on this trip, most/all businesses were closed. Price - N/A. I have been here a few times and enjoyed my time here every time. The ambiance here is great. So many great eateries to choose from and cute shops to shop from. You will find a pizza place, sandwiches, seafood, coffee and juice spots, a bar and more. The spice shop is one of my favorites and the distillery. What a fun place to explore in Downtown Napa! Lunchtime is the perfect time to explore everything the market has to offer. They have a variety of food places, drink spots, baked goods, and grocer items for purchase to truly accommodate any craving. The market itself is well organized, very clean, and had a good amount of parking. My husband and I visited to enjoy a small bite to eat between spots. I got a Meatball small plate and he a Sumo Dog. We loved that there were classic offerings as well as unique items we had never seen before. This is a really cute place to come for lunch in Napa. There's a parking lot but it can be quite full, especially on the weekends. But we were able to find a spot with the amount of people coming in and out. I brought some relatives visiting from out of the country Napa Valley. One of the first places I thought of was to check out the Oxbow Public Market at there is a nice selection of restaurants to eat at, olive oil/vinegar tasting and little shops to check out. It is located right next to Gott's in downtown Napa by the river. The bad thing about coming here is on a Saturday afternoon around 12:30pm is that it is very difficult to find parking in both the public parking lot right next to the Oxbow and across the street! It is the best place to try different foods under the same roof. Parking is a bit tough as it is small. This is next to CIA NAPA, remember to visit that as well as it is open to the public as well. I tried Pizza, and it was good. The fries are on the spot with truffle sauce. They also have an ice cream store on the outside but I saw many people buying their ice cream. There was a huge line for the seafood restaurant. I also bought spices from the spice place, they offer to smell them from the lid and can try a sample before buying. I ended up with Salmon rub and napa special pasta blend. There are restrooms on-site, clean and no wait line. Overall, perfect spot for a group to try different items and roam around. read more

I'll be honest.... The number of people that were making their way into the Oxbow Public Market seemed out of sync with what's inside. It's essentially a warehouse filled with a handful of tiny store fronts selling various foods and what's its, and a couple small restaurants, like a tiny mall, sort of... Me and my wife came across this place while in DT Napa. We had some time to kill before catching the Napa Valley Wine Train, so we stopped in here. It's similar to a market we have back in Atlanta called Ponce City Market. Here at Oxbow, they had quite a few restaurants and some shops. They even had a little marketplace where you could buy some fruits and vegetables. They even had a little shop where you could buy spices, which I thought was pretty cool! We had some wine while visiting, which was nice. It was at the place near the oyster place (Hog Island) towards the back of the market. All of the staff here was very friendly too. It was a nice market, no doubt about it! I would come back, if I ever found myself in DT Napa again. read more

Service is fair as expected in a fast phase setting (can't complain). Enjoyed everything, specially Hog Island's food. Clam chowder's umami... (sweetheart's fav.", well seasoned grilled asparagus, juicy fried oysters and even simple garlic fries. Sumo dog and fries good. Pizza was nice, a little toasty but still enjoyable. Salad was fresh and flavor was good (new to me). A bit crowded but feels like " I want to be part of it". Amazing experience. Oxbow Public Market is a great market near CIA at Copia. Nice to explore the cafes, bakeries and shops filled with local olive oil, cheese and produce. Hudson Greens & Goods is a locally owned grocery store. Their locally sourced fruits and veggies were so beautiful. The flavored olive oils at the Olive Press are so delicious. Craving a Jew-ish deli, check out Loveski for sourdough bagels and smoked meats. Love to read? Check out the Naa Bookmine. Their tea towels are so cute. People I want to meet. Just gonna set that dirty dish in the sink and call it a day, huh?? So funny. Great for a quick stop at the market. Free parking is available. We did not walk around outside, due to the temperatures that soared up to 104 F during our October visit. Would be nice to sit on the outdoor patio when the weather is a bit cooler. This was a fun little public market. Expect markups because it's Napa. It's much smaller than the one we visited in Vancouver, Ca but still very fun. We had lunch at the Hog Oyster. Just know that you're not allowed to bring in outside foods. We didn't know that and a few of our family members already bought foods . They were gracious enough to allow the food to be put on our plates for consumption as long as the cartons weren't on display on the table. They had kiosks selling cheese and jams. What they didn't have was what I loved in the Vancouver public market, pate kiosk. Oh, I am still thinking out the pate there. read more

This is the first time I've ever found a open spot at the Oxbow Public market parking lot. I rejoiced at the proximity until after I came out of the market and found out parking is limited to half an hour at a time. This, combined with the exquisitely compact spacing made this lot highly undesirable. But that wasn't all, the additional sign said, overflow parking was available along with shuttle service. Well, bah humbug! That sounds even less desirable. And where is the sign that tells me the address of overflow parking AND the shuttle schedule? The vegetable stand in the Oxbow Public market isn't your regular go to vegetable stand. They have some pretty exotic veg, and they have some pretty rarified prices. There have been times when I thought the prices at the farmers market seemed a tad high. This market straightened that out right away. The absolute best use of this market has been trying out new vegetable varieties, (at great expense), before planting them in your backyard. So in the quest for exotic new varieties to try out, I showed up. The most plantable stuff available at this time were the squashes and I hate squashes. So I left empty-handed. The rest of the Oxbow Public market was really fun. that was partly because I had zero plans to buy any of it. Without the sticker shock window shopping is lots of fun and there are some pretty unusual offerings in the market. There was some kind of hard liquor bar where you could sniff (?) sample bottles before purchase. There was a spice stand, where you could once again sniff before purchase. There were lots of eateries, and I was especially intrigued by the Jewish deli however, prices were even higher than Katz's. So unless I hear their pastrami blows away, Katzs I think I'll try something else. The bagels sounded exciting but generally I have to ration myself to a quarter of a bagel at a time which sucks all the fun out. Where are my pickles anyway? All in all I'm glad I didn't stick around to shop because who knows what happens if they enforce that 1/2 hour time limit. read more

Oxbow is a fun little market with multiple stalls/stores/vendors and dining options. They have ample parking and a good amount of bike rack parking. It feels a little chaotic inside, as there's not a lot of room to move between the stalls, so I'm glad we were there on a day that wasn't too busy. read more

You can grab everything from coffee and oysters to tacos, pizza, and bakery treats, so it's perfect whether you're snacking or having a full meal. It does get busy and parking can be a bit tough, but once you're inside, the energy is great and the food is always high quality. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area.
