I had a cracked single hung window that I had neglected for several years.. I called yesterday late afternoon to see if I could get some help.. The man that answered the phone, Jerry said the could get somebody there the next day between 1 and 2.. The 2 man crew not only showed up early but were super friendly, and knocked it out in an hour. I stopped in Brooks glass to get an estimate for some frosted glass and tempered glass for two projects I was doing. A total of 7 pieces . I wasn't ready to place the order so I left and then later placed the order by phone. All of the frosted glass was cut to the exact measurements to the 1/16th inch. The piece of tempered glass was cut 10" to small. I called and spoke to Debbie when I returned home and realized the mistake. She was great. No questions asked and replaced the piece at no charge. It was tempered glass, which could not be cut and was ultimately useless for me to return. I have to say that with that level of customer service.....I will recommend and use in the the future. One of our sliding glass doors imploded on it's own on Saturday afternoon. Monday morning I secured 2 quotes for a replacement. First company quoted online from a picture. Brooks sent someone to look at it first hand that afternoon. Brooks came in at nearly half the price of the other big name company. Glass was ordered that afternoon and just installed 7 days later. Installers were on time for the appointment, polite and extremely efficient. Definitely can recommend this firm and would certainly do business with them again. read more

Needed a small piece of tempered glass made. I (retired Army Vet) was immediately told I had come to the wrong place. I asked if it could be made if I brought in an exact template. The owner said "I am sorry you were referred here, I am not your guy, have a good day". I happened to be a black man, not saying that played a part in my treatment, but it was not very professional. Strange because I went to the glass place on Wickham, and they made it no problem. read more

Would not recommend Brooks Glass - By far the worst service I have ever received - Honestly do not think they even deserve 1 star. Poor Quality of work and extremely rude employees as well as the owner Steve Gates. I hired Brooks Glass in February of 2018 to complete repairs to a custom wall leaning mirror that had been damaged during a move by the moving company. The mirror is quite large and weighs several hundred pounds. Mr Gates agreed to pick up the mirror, complete repairs at his shop and deliver the mirror for a cost of $950.00 When the repairs were complete Mr. Gates agreed to deliver the mirror back to my new residence in Cape Canaveral ( mirror was picked up in Palm Bay) Mirror was delivered to my home on 3/3/18. Just a little over 30 days later I began noticing mysterious cracks appearing at the seams of the mirror panels which is due to improper placement of the mirror panels as they are pressing on each other and creating stress cracks. There are now 3 stress cracks in the mirror. Mr Gates and Staff refuse to replace the defective mirror panels and have insinuated that I hit the mirror and cracked it. The mirror has not moved an inch since it was delivered. Mr. Gates did come to my home to inspect the mirror and stated that there was no sign of impact yet still refuses to either reimburse me the cost of repairs or to pick up the mirror and replace. Mr. Gates stated that if I bring the mirror to him then he will replace. As I mentioned before the mirror is quite large and weighs several hundred pounds so this is not something that a single woman with a 2 seat car can accomplish, nor should I have to pay someone to transport due to Brooks Glass poor quality of work. I have a new estimate from another glass company which confirmed that the cracks were due to stress and stated that they could make the repairs at my home for a cost of $400.00 Not sure why Brooks Glass is not able to complete the repairs at my home if other glass companies can. I have tried numerous times to come to a satisfactory agreement with Steve Gates at this point my next option is small claims court. read more

I called into this place and the older guy that answered the phone was extremely hostile to me immediately out the gate not listening that i just wanted a glass made no installments amd he repeated himself "for the fourth time we dont do installments." I am not asking that, if you listened to my question of just having a simple piece of glass made you wouldnt have lost another customer, and from your yelp reviews i shouldnt have given you a chance in the first place. Brooks is tops! I dropped off the frame for a sliding glass patio door that I broke yesterday at 4:50, the place closes at 5:00. At 10:00 this morning the door arrived with two guys who brought it into the house. Perfect job and $100.00 less than if I had used Lowes or Home Depot. I'm going to try and be fair with this review. We came to this area to handle an estate of a relative who had died. Turns out we had to replacea glass window that had been broken. Looked up local businesses and found this place. The people were able to repair the glass in the window in one day and I was not particularly concerned that the bill was over $77. What really disgusted me was that when I picked up the window both sides of the brand-new glass were disgustingly dirty. They were so dirty I did not want to even put it back into my car to take it home. If all you do is glass you must not have any pride whatsoever to charge that much money for a repair and deliver it so horridly dirty. It look like they left it outside all night after they repaired it and there was filth on both sides of the glass. If I owned a glass repair business I would never let a customer walk out of my store without a perfectly clean repair. My advice is to find a different place where they take pride in their work. read more
