A discount was given due to his job's afflication with them. I was the one who took my car in and waited for it to be done. Their waiting room was decent for a repair shop and I enjoyed sitting by their big picture window watching birds come and go from the feeder they installed. The front parking lot is tight, and I'm not exactly sure where they take the cars while they're working on them, but it was done quickly. I don't think I was there for more than an hour. Immediately when I got inside I noticed one of the indicator lights were on. After my boyfriend, a mechanic, ran the codes it was determined to be a tire sensor. It was obviously damaged when the tires were replaced. He dealt with them after that, and it was a good bit of an ordeal getting them to pay for the replacement. However it was more than one, as the light was still on after they did the repair. They refused to pay for any more and claimed they were going bad before the tires were put on. I will say I had no problems prior to the tires, and even after I paid to have the others replaced we continued to have problems. I gave the car to my daughter several months back, a good year past when the tires were replaced and to this day she still has problems with the monitors. Three stars because the service I was there for was good, pricing was fair. However as far as admitting they caused the problem and resolving it I was dissatisfied.

I purchased tires online and had the option to ship them directly to my local Monro location for installation--plus, I could schedule my appointment online at checkout. Super easy, super efficient! I booked an 8 a.m. Monday appointment (which also happened to be a federal holiday) and called Monro directly to confirm. Mark, the Service Manager, was friendly and helpful--he confirmed my appointment and assured me the tires would arrive in plenty of time. So far, so good! When I arrived, the shop was buzzing with customers--walk-ins with flats, scheduled appointments, and phones ringing nonstop. Still, Mark and his teammate were cool under pressure, hustling to help everyone and keeping the place running smoothly. I settled into the waiting area, got some work done, and barely had time to finish a few emails before, an hour later, my tires were done! Efficient, reliable, quality mechanics are a dying breed--but lucky for me, Monro has at least two of them at their Mechanicsburg location. I'll absolutely return for future service needs.

I'm not a fan of going to the dealership unless its a recall or specific piece a regular shop can't fix. Always took our cars to local family shops growing up, getting the best deal and service. We'd been here once before a year or so ago to donate some unused coats to a drive they were running and heard they do good work and care about the community. We called ahead and Bill was able to fit us in the following week! (We thought we'd have to wait weeks to get in as other shops were booked out) Dropped our car off for a simple inspection and oil change and waited to hear if it needed anything. Flash forward to 4pm and we gave a call to see what the status was and Bill informed us he was short staffed that day but would guarantee the car would be done by closing. Called us promptly 30 min later and said everything looked great and it was done. Price wise they're better than the dealerships, even told us if we pay by debit or check he waves the charge fee. Bill was transparent on everything he did, even apologizing again for the late call. My oil light was still on when I got the car back but I mentioned it to him before I left and he stopped what he was doing and reset it for me. Happy to say we've found our new local garage and hope to take our cars to them for years to come!
