Prices are up and service is down. CJ's wanted to charge me $1,600.00 for a muffler repair job that cost only $540.00 from their competitor. Service people lack any customer service skills and they have priced them out of the realm of what is affordable. Bye-bye! You lost a customer for good! read more

I live near mechanicsburg, PA. not CA like yelp says. anyhow today I had a tire rotation done at cj tire in mechanicsburg. They damaged every one of my lug nuts and returned my car to me in that condition. I have a ford that has a decorative shell over the lug nut. nothing new. This can make it more difficult than a plain lug nut to remove. However, Sam seemed unable to remove them and reinstall without damage. This car has been to two other garages in the past year and a half and know one but cj tire says I have "swollen" lug nuts. The counter person disappeared the last 30 minutes I was there after I asked them what was going on with my car. It took 90 minutes for them to do a simple tire rotation and destroyed all of the lug nuts on the car and then made it out like it was my fault! read more

I woke up to a flat tire and wasn't sure where to go. A relative told me that there was a tire place behind Dunkin' Donuts, so I drove over with no appointment. They took my car in within a few minutes to fix the flat and put it back onto my car. They were friendly and reasonably priced! I'll definitely be using them next time I need tires. read more

I've dealt with CJ'S since they opened this store. Still go here for tires and alignment. But lately, doing business here is like pulling teeth. I generally find the staff very defensive and antagonistic, unless you lay down and pay for high priced work. Have to fight for every nickel I try to save with coupons or even their own special offers. Feel like I need a vacation after dealing with them each time. Vèry stressful...why? The work that I have gotten done here is satisfactory though. I just dont get anything major done here. Boy if they just had some friendly personality it might go a long way, but I don't see that happening. I've been going to this CJ's for many years. I will admit that it had a little more personal service in the early days. Now it is a busy place and apparently has caught on. I am hoping it doesn't go the way of the typical Goodyear place due to the increased business. The biggest positive of this place is they will tell you if they cant do something and you don't get charged for the evaluation! That keeps me loyal, as these idiotic dealerships charge over $70 to do the same and then don't credit you if you get the work done there. That's poor service. This CJs has good tire prices and they will meet competitors pricing. No reason to go anywhere else for tires. Every service has been done in a reasonable time frame also. Like most of these do it all garages there can be issues. I have had them replace my wipers during inspection, in order to pass, and I am not sure they needed it. Go to an auto store for this where they will replace them for free BEFORE you get your car inspected yearly. It will save you money. Also I have noticed an increasing mechanic turnover thru the years. That makes me nervous sometimes. CJ's is only as good as the management and so far that has been good. So this review is valid as long as there is good management that is customer oriented! I go here for most of my cars needs and have rarely had a problem. read more

Do not go here for inspection/emission. Especially if there is a sale/free deal for healthcare workers or first responders. Failed my car twice for exhaust leaks. Finally took my car to get checked out by two very experienced mechanics who own smaller businesses and they could not find said leaks/cracks. They really didn't want to give free work at all. Take your car to a smaller business to get inspected. This place has an agenda like the rest of them. read more

I received a fair price, at the same time; the employee informed me of another tire that was very similar in rating but also had a great special. I saved a couple hundred dollars taking this route. Called for a price quote and was told I would be called back shortly. Called the next day and spoke to the same representative who had no recollection of my call. Not a big deal, people forget things. Then I was quoted $120 to fix my muffler STRAP. When I questioned how expensive it was the representative broke it down that the part was $50, plus 30 min of labor and taxes. When I said I was going to check around I got hung up on. Called Midas and was quoted $50-$70 cheaper. Will not be returning to CJ's. read more

I purchased a set of four tires for my car from CJ's about a year ago. They happened to be offering the best deal in the area at the time, so I decided to try them out. I hadn't decided on a specific brand, so I had several questions, and the staff was very helpful in finding the best possible option in my price range. Since the initial installation and alignment, I have been back to CJ's three times for regular tire rotations (free because I bought the tires there), and once for an inspection/emissions test ($40 for everything with a coupon I received in the mail). Each time, the staff has been polite, and have never pressured me to purchase any extra services. Overall, I have been very happy with the quality of service provided by CJ's, and will continue to go there first for all my tire needs. read more

PLEASE do NOT bring your car here! Ever! For anything at all! Every single time i have brought my car in for either a quick oil change, tire plug, changing tires, inspection or ANYTHING, I ALWAYS end up having SOME sort of other problem with my car that they cause and don't even know how to fix it. Not to mention the over tightening of every single possible bolt on the car to where you almost can't even loosen them yourself at home. I had to put my full body weight and strength into each of my lug nuts to remove them. They were so tight that one even made my whole car move just trying to loosen it. Mel also seems to make everything a little bit more difficult than it needs to at the front desk. Never bringing my car here ever again and telling my parents to stop bringing their vehicles in as well, I am always very open minded bringing my car in the next time, but it seems that CJ's Tires never fails to fail me. This is an auto service shop that is actually HONEST! I spent several hundred dollars trying to get my car's A/C fixed at other places and it still wasn't fixed. When I took it here earlier today, they took a good look at it and told me that I should set up an appt. with the dealership. They said they could replace the compressor, but that would cost about $1,000 and they worried that there was some sort of underlying issue causing the compressor to not work. So instead of slapping on a compressor that might die after a few days, they referred me to the dealership. * They didn't charge me for the half-hour evaluation to look at my vehicle - much faster than the other place I won't name here... * They didn't try to sell me a compressor because they weren't sure it would stay fixed * They saw me right away when I brought in my vehicle for my appointment (you'd be surprised, other places I went to I had to wait an HOUR before they'd see me, even though I'd arrived at my appointed time!) * They were very thorough with their evaluation and professional. * The location is great, because it's easy to walk to Bob Evans next door, or to a small shopping center nearby so you aren't stuck just sitting and waiting. * The waiting room doesn't smell like rubber tires. CJ's had, in stock, the exact tire I had on my Ford Fusion (standard tire with purchase) and were able to get me in asap, without an appointment. I compared their prices with a website I normally purchase from and the cost was just $9 different. Plus they don't charge labor. I highly recommend CJ's. Buyer Beware. Went the C&J becuase of online reviews and location. The service here was terrible. Charged me for work that wasn't done. Mechanic told me that no one works for free and the problem couldnt be fixed and still charged me for labor. Went to a different mechanic and he fixed it with no problem and was half the price. When calling in for a quote, the staff was very helpful and after ordering tires, they arrived quickly and swrvice was top of the line for installation and alignment of my car.
