While the workers were very nice and my oil change was completed efficiently, one day after leaving the service station, my low pressure tire light came on. When I filled up my tires, they were all well below the recommended PSIs. Normally, when I get service at Valvoline, they check (and fill) my tires. ******PLEASE AVOID this place for any type of AC Service. They have absolutely NO business working on AC Systems. They over charged my car with Freon and completely fried my AC Compressor. I am now out $1,200.00. I was only able to get my original $400 refund, but said they do not cover repairs because AC compressors just break, and not due to the over charging. I had provided documented evidence of the over charging and the damaged condenser piece to no avail. I wasn't even asking for a full refund, just partial. I should have known something bad was going to happen when it took 3-4 techs to get the Freon Machine going and struggling to hook it up to my car, while also looking at troubleshooting guides on their cellphones. That is not a good sign from a facility that is supposed to be knowledgeable on AC systems. Seriously, save yourself time, money and stress, and just go to a certified auto repair shop with knowledgeable mechanics. It was a costly mistake made on my part mainly due to convenience. Took my car here for an oil change and they forgot to put a gasket in the drain plug. By the time I noticed the oil was almost all gone (some on my driveway and garage) so I filled it up with oil and brought it back. They replaced the plug and sent my wife on her way with no offer for a refund or a redo. I called and they agreed to refund and I was told that running my engine with only a quart of oil in it isn't bad for the engine. Since the person telling me this was the one that made the mistake I asked for a call back from the manager for verification of that statement. No call yet. If you screw up my car that bad I at least deserve to talk with the manager. read more

I do a lot of driving with my job and needed an oil change ASAP. I'm young and don't know a lot about cars so I'm always wary of being taken advantage of. This was NEVER a concern throughout the whole process at this establishment. Not only was the staff kind, welcoming, and efficient, but they also walked me through every step of the process and the cost associated so I felt comfortable. And it took less than 15 minutes! After visiting valvoline, my dipstick magically vanished from my car. I was told the tech. ever checked my transmission even though my invoice says they did and found to be "ok". After speaking with higher management, I only received excuses and not a definitive reason how my dipstick disappeared. WILL NEVER, NEVER GO TO PLACES LIKE THIS AGAIN. Went in for an oil change left with an engine with blown seals. The technician never drained out the old oil and then they just refilled it. So my car had almost 10 quarts of oil in it, instead of the normal 4.5 to 5 quartz it should. Seals blew in the engine and filed a claim ad they denied the claim for the damages to my car. So long story short they know they messed up they admitted they messed up and still refused to make it right. Do not go here if you do not want costley repair bills afterwards. read more

The guys seemed very professional, personable and well trained. Although very nice staff and welcoming atmosphere, I was not prepared to pay the price tag. For my car it was $105. I used a coupon and paid $98. I asked if there were cheaper oil options and they told me that they had to use the oil suggested by the manufacturer. I understood that but $98 is really high for an oil change. Will not return unfortunately. read more

Got a good deal on Groupon for an oil change from this place only to be told when I pull up "yeah my manager said we can't service your car because it's too small." I've taken it to multiple different places for service/oil change, including places that are primarily car washes. If they can service it, so can you. It's a matter of them not feeling like dealing with it because yes, it's a smaller car so it's more of a pain to change the oil in it. I chalk it up to laziness. read more

Very pleasant experience at this Lancaster location today. Employee named Trevor was very helpful and went above and beyond to assist me with the oil issues i was having. At no point did he try to 'sell me' on extra unnecessary services that places like Meineke and Midas have done to me frequently in the past. Rare to find honest employees at the chain automotive shops due to commission payments and bonuses. Valvoline on Columbia Ave in Lancaster has my business from now in regards to oil changes and the like. read more

This is 2015. A diesel pickup uses oil just as do any other vehicle on the road. It also requires a filter, just as any other vehicle on the road. Not offering oil changes to diesel customers is a big failure. Having attendants that are oblivious to area businesses that DO OFFER THIS SERVICE is a big failure. The only thing you have to sell is SERVICE and you can't even manage that. In the future, I will avoid Valvoline products and Valvoline oil changing stations. You've lost another customer. read more

Great place. You will be shown a dirty filter and told that you need a new one. Problem is..the filter did not come out of your car. Or you get a tire rotation and the hubcaps are put back on improperly, so that the stems can not be accessed to add air to the tire. read more
