Pushy salesman oversold this great gopher-pest trapping service with additional bug spray, etc. for $150 every two months. I thought Great! I am battling gophers in my back lawn. Promises to have tech out next day. However, 2 (two) traps were set behind sheds out of view. Then guy walks around with a backpack sprayer for bugs - not the typical pro tank sprayer most pest places have . I thought they just hadn't done back lawn yet, but then guy left. Wasn't impressed. - I can do that bug spay myself with my own backpack sprayer (1+ acres). I still have bugs around foundation and gophers destroying backyard. Called to cancel and get told there is a $250 cancelation fee. They promise to have a 'manager' come out to do the service right. I received a text confirmation for 12:30 to 1:30 arrival. No call no show by 2:30. Call Brooks again to cancel and get gaslit over cancelling and saying no authority to cancel, yada yada. My problem got worse. I called to cancel, and they put me through to some snake who threatened to charge me a fee to cancel. I emailed them to cancel and complain. My bad for hiring the first pest control company that I called. Over a week ago I called Brooks because I saw a mouse in my kitchen. I had to pay $175 and lock in for 18 months at $59 per month. They came the next day (sad face) and laid 6 sticky traps ($12 value) in the kitchen. I had work done in my livingroom a few days later. Mouse poop was found under my couch. I have looked for and closed several potential openings. Why didn't the service guy look for any of that housewide? I have since purchased more sticky traps and other deterrents and poison. I haven't seen the mouse but we hear it! To cancel Brooks service it will cost me another $175 dollars. That's at least $350 dollars to Brooks for inadequate service! DO NOT USE BROOKS!!! I agree with the other 1-star reviews; my experience was very much the same. The first guy did a decent job (I assume, I never had a pest control company before), the woman who came a month after him was on my property for maybe five minutes, at most. I saw that she had cleared spider webs, but there was no evidence of the other things she was supposed to have done and she had already left when I went out to let her into the back yard. Poor quality, low value. I learned from a neighbor that you MUST cancel your service before the third visit, or they'll charge that enormous cancellation fee - so I did. I wish I could give them a negative review, but unfortunately, this only allows for a one star and nothing lower. Brooks pest has horrible customer service after assuring me that their product was pet friendly. Turns out It is not so don't let them lie to you. After servicing They'll tell you that your pets need to be off the property for at least one to three hours. They never mentioned that until after the reservice. We were home for the first service, same technician. I called back today to ask about it because I was told through text that it was completely pet friendly and then we could stay inside while they sprayed and the guy was like yeah you can stay inside. It doesn't really matter inside outside, as long as you don't lick it , so I'm not sure why the technician was so adamant We leave on Saturday after he was done spraying but I have 2 75 lb dogs and a 19 year old cat and it was super hot here on Saturday so I'm not sure where I would take them on such short notice. I had them I originally hired them to just keep spiders away because I was pretty much the only thing we had except for pincher bugs kept getting in the house. Spiders a few in the house and a lot on the exterior yard area. now that they've done the service, we have more spiders inside the house and an in addition now ants. The last couple times, seems like they did nothing at all because there were still bugs and ants after they came. Meanwhile, I moved and with working long hours and moving and my brother passing away, I forgot to cancel my account. I sent an email because I work 6am to 6pm or later sometimes and I cannot call during my working hours. I was told that my cancellation was noted. I was charged twice since I moved. I finally got some time to call and cancel and when I asked for a refund for the last two bills since I don't live there anymore, they said that it is not their policy to refund anyone regardless of how horrible the service was. I will never use them again and never recommend anyone to use them. This company is just a scam and should not be in business. I gave a positive response due to the Kindness of the guy who sprayed the house but shortly after he left, my wife saw 2 more spiders roaming around. Then today which is the day after she saw a couple more, it's almost like they put em there. She took Videos of the stinking insects after they (Brooks) have came back a couple more times to rid the bugs but it does NOT work.
