I was asked what time I would be there to pick up, and I said "noonish". I received no feedback, other than taking my name, phone number and acceptance of the order. I drove 35 miles to pick up the order and arrived at 12:20pm, only to find they had closed at noon. No one bothered to tell me their closing time when I ordered, and their closing time on Yelp indicated a 1 PM Saturday closing. If someone had called to ask me if I was on my way, I would have tipped generously for them to wait for me for 20 minutes. I called the Hallettsville location, which is open until 1 PM on Saturdays, and they had one of the Dewberry pies that I wanted. They offered to stay there for my arrival. I drove an additional 37 miles and arrived two minutes before closing time. I purchased other items totaling $70. I gave a $20 tip to the young lady that offered to stay there until I arrived. I will follow this review with a 5-Star review for the Halletsville location.

While photos of the food and setup were shared, I did not receive any photos of the drinks related to the concerns I raised. I followed up via text on Monday evening requesting a fair resolution, but as of Wednesday I have not received a response. Overall, the communication after the event has left me with unanswered questions, and the experience did not align with what I believed I was paying for. I am still open to a resolution, and I recommend that anyone booking ensure all details--including quantities, beverages, and service expectations--are clearly outlined and confirmed in writing ahead of time.

When we get there we park, walk in and head to pick up our food at the counter. It's usually labeled with the ticket stapled to the bag. We then get in line to pay for our food. The line is usually backed up but moves fairly quickly. There is also a small area with tables and chairs that you can sit at and enjoy your meal or sit there if you need a rest. For my meal I usually order a Hamburger which comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. I usually get mine with mustard. Their burgers are so good and a good size. Overall Hruska's is a great stopping place while traveling. Whether it's for gas, a bathroom break, or if you want to grab something to eat this is a one stop shop place.

I like them, but they are never my first choice. I love the ones with meat inside. Here, they label these as pigs in a blanket. They have a large variety of both. I usually go for a regular sausage and cheese, but over here, they sell a delicious pan sausage kind. On top of all their sweet and savory baked goods, they also sell burgers on the grill. Their burgers have made it to the Texas Monthly Top 50 burger spots. I have yet to try it. Overall, this is an always stop place for me.
