Came here for the lawn bowling and it was so fun! This was my first time playing, it's definitely a different game. It is most similar to Bocce Ball. It was a gorgeous night and offers a huge turf playing area. I will definitely come back with more friends to show them as well! After playing, we did sit at the gorgeous patio for a bite to eat. Totally forgot to snap a photo, but the cheeseburger was delicious! Ordered Tator tots on the side and they were perfect as well. Such a fun night!! Brookview has a lot to offer. read more

Brookview is a nice local golf center that offers a lot to do. I like using the par 3 9 hole golf course for a nice quick walking round of golf. It's a par three course, so every tea shot is to the green. There's water, and trees and enough things going on to keep you going. It moves fairly quickly, you should expect to be finished in about 90 minutes. There's also an 18 hole championship golf course for those who want more of a golf challenge, the course rents out, golf carts, and even clubs for those who don't have their own. There is lawn bowling, and a nice clubhouse for those who want before or after golf activities. The employees are always friendly, parking is easy, I look forward for better weather to return to get back on the course. read more

This golf course is right off the city limits of Minneapolis. Parking is ample on site, and the directions to the pro shop are marked with signs. Checking in for the tee time was effortless, and getting golf carts from the starter was pretty simple and easy to accomplish. The greens were in good shape, but the ball cleaner was not present at any hole. Returning the carts was accessible and leaving the grounds was non-stressful. read more

Classic course in Golden Valley located just off 169 between 55 and 394. I had not played it in a few years and was happy to see the improvements. There is a new modern clubhouse and restaurant replacing the old dumpy version. I didn't go in due to covid but it looked amazing. The course is a classic test of golf. The fairways are narrow and there are lots of trees. Also, Basset Creek runs the course so there are a lot of water hazards. Overall, a fun course to play. I will definitely play it again and check out the new clubhouse and restaurant. read more

Things have changed. The irrigation project has been extremely annoying and reduces hole availability on the par 3 and regulation course; workers don't move so you have to skip additional holes. Women's bathroom is ALWAYS out of soap, and staff doesn't refill it (even after you mention it to them multiple times). The guides this year are rude and grabby. They take and move your stuff to carts and mix up your bags with others, make you wait to play with a group even if they're late or no other tee times booked. I think I'm done playing here for a while. read more

The setting is definitely nice and clean, but it was just okay for me and my husband. My sister-in-law had organized for the group to have dinner here before going to a game show experience in the same area. While we can't complain about the decent drinks available, such as a variety of beer, we didn't care for the food. I was initially excited to see "street tacos" on the menu, but dude... What was that? It was like a semi-homemade taco. Store bought tortilla bland, shredded pork. My husband's boneless wings weren't much of an improvement, and ended up only appreciating the fried cheese curds. *SIGH* Customer service was okay - nothing exceptional to talk about. Only lost 5 balls on the course, not bad for the 2nd round of the year! But stopped in the clubhouse for food afterwards and got the buffalo chicken flatbread. Overall, pretty classic bar food. It was a good size flatbread and actually pretty thin and crunchy crust which I liked! Buffalo sauce was well applied and not too overpowering. Lacks some topping but overall not too shabby. 7.2/10 read more

Stopped in for a beer today. All we could hear while sitting at the bar was how busy they were. They were attempting to close sections of the outdoor patio, without putting out any type of announcement, and then complaining under their breath when people sat in these closed sections. The place wasn't super busy. Maybe instead of asking people to move to sit all near each other and complaining the entire time, you just be happy they are choosing your place to spend an hour or so? People want to spend money and hang out. You are not making it easy to do just that. Folks are happy to wait a few extra minutes if you are short staffed. They aren't happy to hear all the complaining of the staff. We left after one beer. The staff completely ruined the vibe. read more

Went to a wedding reception here recently and by 7:30 without any warning to the bridal party or guests, we were all kicked off the property. Bar staff was rude, Wendy was rude, no evidence of anything they claimed. Feel horrible for the bride and groom. Would never spend a dime on my big day here! New club house is gorgeous!! Parking was horrid as there was an event upstairs on the second level. The remodel is sleek and modern. Inside the new club house is an event space, golf pro shop, a lobby, bathrooms, a kids play area that looks like McDonald's playland x25 ( $4 for residents, $5 for non) and a cool new restaurant called THRE ONE SIX. Restaurant review- Inside seating plus outdoor seating! Great view of the course. Happy hour until 6. $3 beer specials every day. Food prices were actually great! Around $10 for burgers, flatbreads, wraps, salads. Around $15 for entrees. All three of us got burgers. BBQ burger, cheeseburger and the three one six burger. I took one star off as we all asked for medium rare and there was no pink. Also they should use a more substantial bun. But definitely coming back! Service was top notch! read more

I went there one time, won't be back. I've never seen a course with his many huge divots, not only in the fairway but on the tee boxes as well. I realize the divots are the responsibility of the player but when they have huge ones all over the place where is the maintenance staff. Additionally, signage is not too good. We spent about five minutes trying to find the next tee on one of the holes. We eventually located it across the road next to a noisy playground/tennis area. read more

I went for dinner tonight with a friend. Really hard to find and map directions are terrible. Server was great and attentive. Our drinks and dinner were good. We ordered fish and chips and I'd order it again. Side salad was fair, I ordered a side Cesar which ended up having bottled dressing brought on the side...$5 I'll never see again. I arrived a few minutes before she did, walked into the restaurant and immediately went back out to my car for a coat. I'm guessing it was warmer outside than it was in there! It was uncomfortably cold so no coffee or dessert and we didn't linger after getting the bill. read more

I attended a wedding for a family member recently. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious. Then... all of a sudden right in the middle of the reception, everyone was kicked out. From what I gather the DJ was asked to tear down his equipment quickly because it didn't take him long to get out of there. It was horrifying for the bride and groom. After 30+ years in management and administration I can honestly say the manager was not at all professional. She would not listen to anyone who had questions or who wanted to give an explanation. She made it very clear that she was extremely displeased she [even] had to come and deal with whatever it was. As a guest who knows none of the details, the mear approach by management to the bride and groom and their family was terrible. By the grace of God, an establishment in the area offered to have the entire wedding party and reception guests, along with the DJ come and continue to party there. They were 100%+ accommodating. Brookview lost a considerable amount of money by forcing the group to move, because what "you" thought you were doing to punish the group turned out to be a great night. And a profitable one at that for the "other" establishment. Other patrons joined in on the fun...Awesome! read more

For mother's Day I and my family want to bookview 9 hole golf course my daughter my granddaughter and my wife went there on mother's Day. To golf Afterwards went to the restaurant to have some drinks and dinner. The the drinks came the ice smell like fish and I asked if we could get additional drinks because of the smell which was obnoxious. They refused. I just decided to have water. Next food came and they had a hairball in one of the sandwiches. I requested a new sandwich and they refuse but decided to give us a half charge on the sandwich needless to say it was the most horrible experience I've ever had. We returned the sandwich and said no way are we eating this sandwich. Contacted the supervisor of the restaurant by letter no response they didn't apologize didn't give us an excuse. or acknowledge our complaint. read more

The food is fine. Average bar fair. Except for the berry salad. It's extremely boring! Under no circumstances order this salad! It's basically some cold, very unappetizing chicken thrown together with some lettuce with a side of a dressing that is a lot like something you'd put over pancakes, except sour. I couldn't eat mine. read more

I was so excited for Easter brunch with the family (23 of us). We had never been here but enjoyed to celebrate this holiday at other golf courses. When we walked in we already felt not so happy especially when we seen the spread of food. The eggs and pineapple were good and thats about all. The hash browns smelled freezer burnt and they were soggy, the bacon was greasy and not fully cooked along with the sausage. The quiche looked like fake eggs and was bland. The french toast was hard, my nephew and 2 nieces wouldnt even eat. There were not many more choices except the doughnuts and muffins which were not much more appetizing. The price was $20 per person (which would have been fine, if it were even worth it) and we had to pay extra for drinks. Were all very disappointed and call it the worst brunch ever. Wish we would have not wasted this day on Brookview, we know better now. I would not recommend this place for food. Even the fron desk people ordered out, they were also not very friendly, wierd atmophere read more
