Monarch is monstrous. You would almost think it was an automobile plant. They have 15 (!) acres of beer and wine warehouse space which is only a 21-day supply which is unthinkable to me. They have a very good wellness program that includes an onsite doctor and nurse practitioner, onsite fitness facility, subsidized offsite gym memberships, free fruit, and subsidized salad bar. Not sure if it is open to the public, but if you ever get the chance to have a function there, I highly recommend it (of course they have a beer/wine bar).

In my opinion, crown has a wide selection of quality, distilled spirits, at what I find to be reasonable prices. It is possible to find unique and interesting items at their stores. It is a chain, and they do have a robust searchable website presence. The staff are generally very helpful. So, if there is something in particular, you're looking for, and can't find it at a crown liquor location you're visiting just ask. Often the staff will be able to recommend another location and perhaps even be able to check with staff at that other location to see if the alternative store has what you're looking for.

The store itself is pretty typical for a liquor store ambiance, with aisles of different options and some items kept in the refrigerated cases. Nothing fancy or over the top, but it's convenient if they carry what you're looking for. For my husband, this is a good go to because they have his preferred beer. But I'd say it's 50/50 since they didn't have what I wanted and he had to purchase more than what he wanted.
