I had my oil changed here. Everyone's very friendly and professional. I got the OEM suggested oil, which I didn't get at the previous place, so it was nice to have it for my warranty. It was done quickly and I will return here to have it done again. The expense was right on par with the competitors. I miss Finn Moto Tech!! Beware of Broomfield Roadmasters on Alter, especially if you are woman. They lie straight to your face about the services they are perfoming on your car. Tried to tell me my vw passat diagnostics was taking 3 hours because I have a synthetic oil car and they have to go through all the wires on the engine block separately. Called my brother who is a vw mechanic and that was a straight up lie and he would never pay the prices they are charging and would recommend me taking it to the dealership before paying what they were asking. Please note, I was the first one there at 8am, first appt. Oh and they are gonna charge you top dollar for labor and parts. In the past, If i had a turn signal bulb go out, Finn Moto tech would change the bulb and charge me for the part because I'm already getting services done. Not at roadmasters Broomfield. I've been with Roadmasters since September of 2019, starting with them under the previous business name of Finn. I've always received great service: all the staff I have interacted with have been warm, patiently answering my questions. When they have recommend work, it was appropriate and affordable, per the auto expert in my marriage. The other reviews indicate concerns; this has not been my experience. read more

I went to get my moms care inspected since I knew her Outback needed at least an oil change. When I got the inspection report they said she needed new tires, new belts and spark plugs, a break job, plus a new control arm. This totaled upwards of $$4 thousand!! So I took it to Roadmasters Westminster for a second opinion and they threw out most of what the Broomfield Roadmaster showed. Westminster Broomfield said we need a tune up, and tires., depending on which tires, under $1100. read more

LOL $800 for a starter replacement. This type of service is a 2-4hour job max, I would have done it myself, but being busy working for a living and no garage space. Did not know it would take 4 days to complete such a simple 2 bolt removal process, then gouge me $800 for a part that runs about $200 after marking up with a core charge. Thier mechanics must be rolling in money if that service costs so much. Do not go there and if you have been unfortunate like me, do not go back. I am more upset at myself for not doing the job myself. Shame on me, and shame on them for taking advantage of people who need assistance getting their vehicle back on the road. read more

Do you remember the episode where Jerry Seinfeld reserved a rental car only to arrive and no car was available? Kinda how I felt with Roadmasters today. I was a loyal customer to Finn Mototech and not knowing anywhere else to take my car for service, I thought I'd try roadmasters. so I called a few days earlier to make a appointment to have an oil change and inspection on my vehicle when I arrived today they wanted me to drop it off and then it would be available for pick up on Monday or Tuesday. I thought the point making an appointment was to reserve the allotted time to do the service required that the customer requested. I chose not to use their service and now after reading the other comments and seeing their poor reviews I think leaving was a smart choice. I recently took my Avalanche in for a service repair and oil change at the Broomfield Roadmasters location. It was easy to make an appointment. I realize this is a change of ownership (from previous Finn Mototech). Their service was prompt and professional and I asked several questions regarding their staff. It seems they have retained much of their staff and front desk personnel, something I was happy to see. I did notice an increase in their labor rates. I had taken my previous car to Finn Mototech for over 10 years and always had extremely great service. I had hoped that with Roadmasters taking ownership the quality of service had remained the same but after my recent experience there I'm not sure that's the case. I recently took my newer car there recently for a simple oil change. After getting my car back I drove to Denver and when I arrived at my destination my car I had smoke coming out from under the hood. I was pretty shocked and when I opened the hood to see the oil fill cap missing and oil all over the engine bay. Luckily the cap was sitting on a ledge in the engine bay and it was a miracle it didn't get dislodged and go missing during my drive. My suspicion is that the technician forgot to put it back on after the oil was replaced, if it just wasn't fully tightened and fell off I don't know how it could have landed perfectly in the spot that I found it. When I called Roadmasters to tell them what happened they apologized and offered to do the oil change again and clean up the mess in my engine bay which they did. My car is finally getting to the point where it doesn't stink of oil after ever drive. I'm pretty disappointed with this bad experience with such a simple procedure and at this point I'm not sure I'll return. read more

CUSTOMERS BEWARE - Horrible customer service, horrible work, dishonest employees/manager, and no response/care from upper management when I reached out to discuss my experience. I had lower ball joints replaced. Received truck back with metal noises under truck. Checked and found the outer tie rod end clamps weren't put back and were just dangling. Also found a rip in one of my putter tie rod boots (which they needed to remove and re-attach to the new part), which were brand new just over a year ago. I reached out to the company to discuss my displeasure regarding getting my truck back with an additional broken part and clamps not being replaced. Their response was that they must not have noticed that there was suddenly a torn boot with grease all over it and boot clamps that were dangling about 2 inches from a nut that they had to remove and said they must not have noticed it but would happily charge me to fix that too. They said that those clamps come loose on their own all the time - after mentioning this to other shops, they all said that's not the case, especially for clamps that require a lot of force with pliers to put back in place and are less than 1.5 years old. THEN I noticed three days later that a part they installed was defective and returned to have them replace it. I was treated very poorly and they tried to pretend like they fixed it and told me I was good to go.... details below.... Here was my experience: I had received my truck on a Monday and brought it in on Thursday. Jace, the manager, asked me in a very weird/accusatory tone, WHY it took me THREE days to notice the part was defective... Like it's my (a customer's) responsibility to check their work?!? Then the techs had the truck for 30 minutes and I was told it was fixed and it was good to go. IT WAS NOT. The ball joint and boot were EXACTLY how they were when I brought it in. Luckily I learned from Jace's comment that customers need to check their work right away and they shouldn't be trusted. So I checked prior to going back inside to discuss what they found/did, and when he told me they fixed it and I was good to go, I was able to correct him and let him know that in fact they did nothing to the truck and were trying to have me drive away with a faulty part. I did mention multiple times that I was leaving the next day (or as soon as I could get it fixed) for a 3,000 mile road trip into Mexico and hundreds of miles off road so any faulty part will cause a major issue, or catastrophic accident if it completely failed. Not that it should matter, but I wanted to make it clear that a temporary fix wouldn't be safe. Once I showed Jace that the techs did not in fact fix the part, even though they said they did, I was treated like I was annoying him by having the issue, and that fixing my truck was a major inconvenience to them. He huffed and puffed the whole time he figured out what location I could go to to have the part fixed (because that location couldn't do it the next day). He made it very clear that he was unhappy and I was a problem for them. I ended up having to go to the Lafayette location the next morning. When I was initially quoted for two lower ball joints, I was told it was a flat rate of $500 (both sides). Not an hourly rate with an estimated time (and then they would charge for how long it takes). Now, after the part was replaced with a new part, I was given the invoice (which I didn't pay for because it was warrantied), the price was $163 for the side. SO, the same service, same part and when they don't charge me, they show me that I was charged 35% more than their printed invoice. Now, looking at the website and their mission statements regarding treating customers like "mom," and not overselling, checking for future issues, taking pride in their work, they are honest, treat ever car like it's their own mom's car, "The best value in auto care happens when integrity and honesty are the bottom line for the people doing the work," etc. were practically ALL completed ignored in my experience. The lack of honest, integrity was appalling. To pretend like you fixed a car and have someone drive away with a faulty part that will cause a major accident if it fails on the freeway, is insane. I have reached out voicing my concerns, highlighting the failures to live up to almost every mission statement, the fact I was charged 35% (~$175) more than the printed invoice, etc... I'm disappointed that the only response I got was telling me that you didn't notice the part that you removed was full of grease and you'll happily charge me to fix it, and then NEVER RESPOND to my reply regarding my experience. This reply above is the best customer service you'll provide?? No name/title when I requested it from their first response to see who I was talking to. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. read more
