Really wish they would have told me on the phone they were not capable of servicing my car. Before bringing it in I mentioned it was a sensor issue with the main CPU and reprogramming would be required. After looking at it, they said I need to take it to the dealer. Waste of my time. While looking at all the great reviews That DOC has received I still have to add mine for their outstanding service. Truly everyone I met there was helpful and kind. They spent about 1/2 hour retrieving my hearing aid that I lost behind the dash panel. I was on a road trip and the engine light came on. I looked up highly rated mechanics on yelp to check it out real quick. Henry from Doc Automotive helped me out immediately, hooked up his devise and explained to me exactly what was going on and what was needed. Since it was not a safety issue and I was in the middle of a road trip, I did not get it fixed right then and there, however, if I would live here, this would be my "car guy"....by the way...he did not charge me anything and just helped me out. I love these guys. I've always hated taking my car in...it's not something that you can double check the work on if you're not knowledgeable with car maintenance and repair. So you just have to trust that it's correct. And I've been to multiple places where I've trusted it and regretted it. But I've never felt that way here. Tyson and Henry are awesome. I don't ever feel swindled, and I feel like they give me honest opinions while being really respectful of cost and what can be fixed now verses later. They also use a tech program that allows you to look at pictures and comments about the repairs you need and then you can approve or deny them. Extremely disappointed with new ownership! Without telling me, they farmed out my wheel alignment to a nearby chain store that charges $89.99 for the service, then charged me $160!! I've been bringing both of my cars to Doc for over a year, because the old owner came highly recommended, as a long-time, honest professional mechanic, with integrity, which was the case. They were always fair, reasonable, and took responsibility for the service they provided. The DOC name used to mean something. Times have changed with the new year. I was quoted $160 for a wheel alignment, which was in line with DOC's premium service and reputation. They said that they'd check the brakes & shocks and have me out the door by Noon. *(Inspections were always complimentary, with the expectation that if they found anything they'd do the work because of their past good reputation.) I had a 2 o'clock meeting, so that should have worked fine. Unfortunately, when I called to check at 11:30am when I could expect the car to be ready, the office clerk said that everyone was going on lunch soon & that it would be ready be 2pm. No apology, just ready at 2pm. I had to cancel a fairly important meeting, and now have to drive to Northern CO next week, as a consequence, for the rescheduled meeting. When I called after 2pm, I was told that maybe it would be ready in an hour. Finally, got a call at 3:12pm that my car was ready. When I got there, I said that I was upset that I was told my vehicle would be ready by Noon, and that I had to cancel a meeting due to the lack of follow through. I asked that the service be discounted for the negative impact. I was told there would be no discount, because they have a deal with the chain store around the corner to do the work for them, since they don't have their own alignment machine!! Even though the front office clerk made it sound like they were doing the work, nobody could tell me who did the work because it was done at another shop!! Without my knowledge, or permission to send my car somewhere else! Unfortunately, I paid for the reputation & integrity of the old owners, to get the service of a big box low-quality sub-contractor. After calling the Big Box place around the corner, and confirming they charge 89.99 for alignments, I called DOC back. The owner specifically told the desk clerk to relay to me that they would not take ownership for the dishonest business practice, and suggested that I paid for the certified tech to inspect my brakes & shocks. I was quoted $160 for an alignment, I paid $160 for an alignment, and a low-end substitute did the work for DOC. It's a real shame. DOC used to be a real solid local place to get reliable service. Now it's just the same old story, somebody new living on the reputation of the old guy. There are plenty of shops around with good solid folks with integrity. I recommend that you find those places instead. read more

Jeff was quick to get me in for an estimate, explained what needed replacing and why, and got me the numbers the very next day. He gave me an accurate timeline so I knew what to expect, and got me in to do the work shortly after the parts had all arrived. So this is a hidden gem! We were sent a coupon for a free oil change - it was perfect timing. Since our car is newer it uses synthetic oil a bit more but it is worth it. Also they changed out the filter. I paid the difference. I had made an appointment and they were ready for me when I walked in - the whole thing took about 50 min. I'm very please with that but i wanted to drive the car to see how it would handle. It drives smooth just like a new car. read more

I'm not the most mechanically inclined individual and when I decided to replace my own rear wiper blade on my 2015 Grand Cherokee - I watched a few You Tubes and thought "piece of cake". WRONG. I ended up breaking a piece of plastic and assumed I was going to have to replace the entire arm. Chad with Doc Automotive Repair fixed it in less than a minute. My husband and I have been taking our cars to Doc since the week they opened, so we have a long history. Jeff's customer service is impeccable and he has always been completely honest. We went through some pretty lean years where making unaffordable or unnecessary repairs would have put us in the poor house. Jeff ALWAYS gave us options where they were available, even going so far as to find used and rebuilt parts when it was safe to do so and if we couldn't make the repair right away, he showed us how to nurse it along until we could afford it. Even to the point of having my engine rebuilt when we couldn't afford to replace either the engine or the car. Because he's always been so helpful and behind us, I trust him completely. I have a business and a few work vans on the road so keeping them operational and safe is a priority. One of the older vans had an attitude with starting, it would only start if you turned on the radio, pressed on the lever for the windshield wipers and stomped your feet to the rhythm of the song on the radio (seriously, I am the only one who could start it first time every time) but an employee couldn't keep the beat so he had issues getting it started. For a few years we kept taking it to our mechanic and always got the same thing, "it started up for us", and never Fixed but we paid again and again for it to be looked over. One day it refused to start in Broomfield so I called Doc Automotive and they referred me to a tow company to bring it to them. (Also a great company to work with) Doc Automotive actually repaired it first time there!!! I am sold on this shop and refer them any chance I get! My '98 Jeep broke down in the middle of highway 287, and required police assistance to "bump" to the side of the road - it was a nightmare. I didn't know where to tow the car, I was frazzled, and the police officer kindly suggested Doc Automotive. What a great suggestion that was!! They were kind, realistic, concise and fair when explaining the damages my car had, and costs associated with repairs. My husband and I ultimately decided based on the damages, that we would sell the car. And get this - one of the people at Doc Automotive bought the car for a fair price, and planned to fix it up and sell it! This allowed us the opportunity to cut ties with the Jeep that we loved for almost 10 years, and give it to other owners who could breath more life into it by repairing it.
