I recently left a review and was told they were "reviewing the issue internally" and would get back to me..but they never did. Unfortunately, this lack of follow-through mirrors the way patients are treated in the office. I'm not surprised. The Broomfield Dental group is the worst company I have ever encountered. Their main headquarters has a mailing address in Cincinnati Ohio and they are sending me a bill for something I already paid. The problem is if you call the phone # on the bill you just get a repeated message saying all representatives are assisting other callers--they allow you to leave a call back number but they never get back to you. I have a record of my payment but with no one to talk to I cannot resolve this---Pitiful is how I would describe these people--maybe criminal. Do not have this dentist company do any work for you. Do yourself a massive favor and do not go here. I was a fairly new patient and I went in for a wisdom tooth consultation. The oral surgeon suggested to extract my wisdom teeth at the consultation that I personally DROVE to that day. So naturally I said no and I asked to schedule an appt on a different day so that my husband could drive me, and I could properly prepare for the procedure. Scheduled the appointment for a few weeks in advance and signed a document with billing and appointment information. Day of the procedure, I realize I haven't received a confirmation text/email which I thought was odd so I figured I'd call and check. Looked online to get the phone number to find out the office is closed on Fridays. The day of my scheduled appointment. Why they would schedule an appointment on a day that they are routinely closed is beyond my comprehension. I took a week off of work and bought groceries beforehand to prepare only to have the admin respond to my initial inquiry and then completely ghost me when I was trying to get clarification and reschedule as soon as possible with the time off I had and was approved for. After reading other reviews, this seems like a consistent issue and might have dodged a bullet with how nonchalant the oral surgeon was. read more

But since I have been without ANY TEETH for over two weeks now, and their answering service is absolutely horrific, and no one calls you back EVER!!! They sent me to an Oral Surgeon for FULL MOUTH EXTRACTION (side effect of Radiation Cancer Treatment), so the plate they fitted me for doesn't fit at all, it's like it was someone else's mouth, the roof part of it is like 2 inches lower than my mouth is. I had a f/u appt the following Wed. I was in way too much pain to make, I TRIED calling their moronic, frustrating answering service and got nowhere, since it even hurt to talk and the idiots had a gazillion questions like THEY were the Doctors. Anyway, I have been trying for A WEEK NOW TO GET A CALL BACK or another appointment SO I CAN HAVE TEETH!!! to no avail. I even tried texting back the # they text me from, CRICKETS!!! They made it very difficult to book a cleaning, an easy and common procedure, so I tried to cancel the appointment. The lady on the other end of the phone was very rude, passive aggressive, and did not care that I was cancelling my appointment. Made sure my insurance would cover the cost of my x-rays, cleaning and exam. - X-rays were painless and thorough. - Ericka was my hygienist. Her office area was clean and bright. She explained each step while cleaning my teeth and was gentle, yet did a thorough job. - Doctor Sesson examined my teeth. She asked Ericka to take a few extra pictures to watch for some of my older large fillings. She will be able to look for changes in the future. Last dentist just wanted to replace them on my 1st visit even thou I had no paid. Dr. Sesson will now have something to compare to going forward to look for leaks. - I scheduled my next 6 month cleaning appointment which is allowed by my Medicare insurance plan. I went here for a normal checkup and they told me I had 5 cavities, including ones I had filled a year earlier that they said needed to be redone. I then got 2 of them filled by them and ended up getting pain in the lower molar one they filled which they said wasn't even a deep cavity. I had to go back 3 times where they then just "readjusted the bite" but it continued hurting so they redid the filling. Weeks after this refilling of that cavity, I still had pain and couldn't eat anything on that side of my mouth. At this point it's been 3 months since they first filled it and I haven't been able to eat anything on the left side of my mouth. I then try a new dentist who tells me that, not only does the other side of my mouth have no cavities (which the broomfield dental group dentist told me I had 3 on that other side), this new dentist also referred me to an endodontist which broomfield dental group never did for my consistent pain. And then I ended up needing a root canal for that tooth. Along with that, the other cavity filling they did was, according to this new much more trustworthy dentist that I found, done improperly with residue left underneath the filling and I needed that one redone as well. Not only did broomfield dental group scam me out of over $1000 and made me need even more invasive procedures for over another $1000, they also never answered their phone, and when I requested my X-rays to be sent to me (4 times at this point) and they said that the office would call me back about it, they still have failed to get those to me and it's been weeks where I've called multiple times during normal business hours. I would give zero stars if I could, and tell any and everybody to avoid this dentist at all costs. read more

I have always gone to this office because it is in network with my insurance. I also ALWAYS check this each time I come in. On one of my last visits I was told this was covered as always in network. When I get the bill it is listed as out of network. I ask the office to correct this and bill me like it should be in network because they TOLD me I was. And they refused to do so!! So even though the office told they are in network they want ME to be responsible for the out of network charges and refuse to waive them. To not cover the additional charge for the out of network charges when they told it me it was in network. In my opinion this is legally Fraud! read more

I am a first-time patient and the staff at Broomfield Dental Group went above and beyond to make me feel very welcomed, comfortable and well taken care of. Erika was the dental hygienist who handled my care directly and she was very professional and friendly. She was exceptional when it came to ensuring the procedure was as pain free as possible and explained things as she went which made me feel less anxious. Erika was very thorough with her technique yet also extremely gentle. Going to a new dentist can always be nerve wracking especially when the bar is set high from prior expereinces. Broomfield Dental Group exceeded my expectations with their 10 star care and I would happily refer anyone I care about to them knowing they are in great hands. Do not use this office. They will charge you extra money and then hold that money hostage. While I liked working with the dentist and hygienists at this office, their staff and billing departments are so dysfunctional as to almost be negligent or fraudulent. Months after my appointment, I was sent a bill. I was confused since they had done a really good job of making clear what I was paying the day of my appointment and sharing that everything else was covered. Like you do, I called their office 4 times that week to ask about this, during business hours. On two occasions no one picked up and on two I left a voicemail. There was dire wording about the consequences of not paying so I paid it a couple of days early, left them a voicemail with my confusions. Days later, I got a call back telling me I should never have been sent that bill and they would refund the money - could I call them with the card I had used to pay the bill? I did and they promised it would be returned on that card within 3-5 business days. It took TEN WEEKS+. Along the way I had to call their office half a dozen times, and they kept on insisting that they had showed me "multiple times on email" that they had submitted my reimbursement to the "main office" several times. First of all, why are you promising me 3-5 business days if it's out of your control and goes to a different office to be processed. Second of all, I did not see multiple submissions - only one email. On my next round of calls I was advised to call their main branch in TX at a 1-866 number. Basically, the Broomfield office told me I needed to let them know I was upset to "try to speed things up." I was understandably upset that I was now asked to take on work for a problem I didn't cause and said so. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to at this office. I was told, with some snark, that I could "turn her in by calling the main branch." So I called the office in TX and reached a voicemail saying my call would be returned within 48 business hours. I left a message expressing my frustration and concerns and my ask that this money come back to me. I did not receive a call in 2 business days. It was more like 4 and they didn't leave a message. Apparently calling the main branch "worked" in that the money was returned to me but . . . instead of returning it to the card I had used to pay the bill on (as promised) they used a different card they had on file and didn't tell me. Along the way I received some emails suggesting I had caused the problem by: paying the bill, paying the bill via the portal provided to pay the bill, asking to speak to someone other than the person at the Broomfield office. The fact that this problem could have been avoided if anyone had picked up the phone the 4 times I had called before paying the bill seems lost on this office. The fact that they shouldn't be promising a timeline they don't control for processing payment returns has been shrugged off. And the many times that they promised me things, insisted they gave me info they haven't, or did things contrary to the way they said they would well . . .they don't care. After all of this (nearly 3 months) of hassle what did I ask for? For a local manager to call me. I've now asked 5 times and my emails have been either ignored or returned with non-answers. I can;'t trust my teeth to a practice that miscommunicates so wildly, handles my money so casually, blames me for their mistakes, and has no room for feedback. Ugh. read more

DO NOT go here if you value accuracy in billing. I was a patient of Broomfield Dental for 3 years. I did not have complaints with care. However, during the last year that I was a patient, the front office made so many billing mistakes that my insurer was forced to reject submissions. This includes failing to submit X-rays to my insurer, submitting pixilated x-rays that were unreadable and submitting x-rays of the wrong teeth. I have since left my employer and no longer have access to benefits that would have paid for any uncovered services. Múltiple phone calls and multiple emails from myself and my insurer have gone unanswered. Broomfield Dental continues to send me bills for a thousand dollars. This situation has drained HOURS and HOURS of effort and is still not resolved. read more

Yes, yes, yes. I saw Gayle as my hygienist, and Dr Kimball. They were both so polite and caring that I very nearly forgot my phobia of visiting the dentist. No nonsense up selling or referrals either. The last dentist I went to tried to tell me that I needed to see an orthodontist right away, which was clearly an outright lie. My exam was so painless. Dr Kimball was very gentle and assured me that he would explain everything afterwards, which he did in great detail. He really cared about me understanding what was going on in mouth and why he was giving certain recommendations. Since I've had such crappy experiences with dentists in the past, i feel i am especially able to sincerely recommend you visit Dr Kimball. read more

I would like to preface this review by stating that I've only had one "cavity" in my life and I am in my 30s. My first appointment at Broomfield Dental, I was told I had a cavity my first ever. I made an appointment and had it filled. I informed the dentist after I had it filled that I could feel a rough spot, I was told that it was as smooth as they could get it. I wasn't able to chew gum after this filling as it would constantly get stuck on that filling. At my next appointment, the dentist was looking at my x-ray and started counting. She got up to about 30. I asked what she was counting and she told me "cavities." At this point, I'm freaking out, I had only had one cavity, ever- the one I had filled at the previous appointment. She then looked in my mouth. After several minutes, the dentist told me that I have "a weird tooth anatomy" and that I didn't really have any cavities, but she wanted to keep an eye on me. Right before my following appointment, a piece of that filling broke off. I went into the dentist (I saw a different dentist in this office this time) and was told that I would need a new filling as my tooth had "decayed" and that is the reason the chunk of the filling fell out. I was also told that I needed a filling for another "cavity" on another tooth that was in "bad shape." I told them I would make an appointment at a later date and decided to find a new dentist. I have since been to three other dentists, and EVERY SINGLE ONE said I have NO CAVITIES. The two that Broomfield Dental Group told me I had DO NOT EXIST. They have all looked, extensively, for the new mystery cavity. The filling that fell out because of "decay" was actually the lip that they had left hanging over chipping off. My filling is totally intact. Which makes me think, if you just imagined this new cavity, did I ever have a cavity in the first place? DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE FOR DENTAL CARE! THEY ARE SCAMMERS! Additionally, I should post that my husband (who does have bad teeth) was happy with his service there. I have never written a review before but my experience here deserves one. Had a horrible toothache on Wednesday at close of business. They were able to get me in early in the morning on Thursday. Ended up getting three wisdom teeth out, hurt like hell after but Dr. Taher Dhoon was outstanding. Apparently I have a very dense jaw bone so that one was a process and was nervous about the other two. He was very calming and reassuring and luckily convinced me to go through with the other two. Today I had a concern so I emailed him. Within 30 minutes I had a response and his cell phone number for anything else that may come up. I HATE going to the dentist but highly recommend this office and will be signing my kids n wife up as well. I was really disappointed with how hard they push extra procedures that are not covered by insurance. For instance; fluoride treatments and testing for oral cancer. It felt more like a car salesman pitch than professionals genuinely concerned for my health. I thought Dr Lahm was rough and condescending. They do not exude a relationship of trust. The dentist I saw was a smart ass and had a certain arrogance to him that was not attractive. After taking X-rays he came in and said I would need over $10,000 worth of work. I should have looked at these review's prior to attending this office, however am glad I did before my up and coming surgery. I went in with severe pain and swelling in the back of my mouth, prior to going in, I called and asked to be seen to figure out what was going on. I was NOT told I would be charged for being seen. I went in for a 2:30 appointment, showing up at 2:00 and doors were locked and phone's were not being answered. Exactly at 2:30, two women pulled up and unlocked doors, I walked in after them, and there was two dental assistants and two dentist's that were there already. I found that to be highly odd! Was given tons of unecessary paperwork, with questions I had answered over the phone for them. Okay fine, once brought back to be seen, everything was oddly crammed into very limited space, and the dentist was using a utility closet as some sort of office, as much money as they are charging people, I'd expect them to have the place a lot cleaner and organized and have an actual office. It was definitely odd. I was given two different x-rays and was told that I had impacted wisdom teeth that had the nerves too close, and I needed to have it done by an oral surgeon. They gave me a couple referrals to other people. I was given a script for antibiotics, and tramadol, which wouldn't touch my pain due to the fact that I take that for fibro pain. Dr. Dhoon refused to prescribe anything helpful but told me I shouldn't take my ibuprofen either. He went on to say that had multiple cavities and said some of my teeth were starting to decay. I was see 6 month's prior by another dentist, and they cleaned my teeth, said I didn't need a kind of cavity work or anything along those grounds done, only needed some fillings touched up! As I walked out, in more pain than I went in, I was given my referrals, and said I needed to pay an amount of about $80 before I left. Why? I have delta dental, although not super amazing insurance, they pay $1,000 of dental work every 6 month's. So, not only did they take about $200 in dental insurance money as well as charging me more money, they proceeded to schedule my next appointment as soon as they could for the fillings or what have you, but also charged me, and said that I would need to pay almost $200 to get the other work done. So, now that they took money from insurance, I have to pay out of pocket for my surgery which is $2,000. That is very upsetting to me. I also had an allergic reaction to the amoxicillan that I was given, which isn't usually given for teeth infections. I'm very disappointed and will continue to go to comfort dental. Never had issue's with them, never had to pay for anything out of pocket, nor was I ever lied to. If I ever had something to worry about, I would be told ahead of time of I would have to pay, I was told ahead of time. I agree with all the bad review's on here and for the one's writing fake good review's, stop it and quit taking people's money. This dentist did a root canal that ultimately resulted in me loosing the tooth. He also tried to put someone else's crown on my tooth. It was obviously not fitting and then he realized he had mixed up the crowns and what I wanted was a gold crown and this was a white porcealin. I originally started with this dental group about 10 years ago when it was Dr. Houser's practice. He was the only dentist and his staff was great and there was consistency. Unfortunately Dr. Houser moved and sold the practice about 5 years ago to Dental Works. I should have left then. It's like a revolving door at the practice.....There have been so many new dentists and staff and you can't establish a relationship that way. They also are constantly bombarding you with extra procedures and alarming you with "so-called" issues. The only positive is the 2 hygienists, Gayle and Steve. The office staff can be rude and they never have notified my family when a dentist has left. That is poor customer service. Yesterday's visit was the last straw......I went back after 2 weeks to have the permanent crown put on and was told Dr. Lahm and Dr. Kimball were no longer working there anymore....they have been the steady dentists for about a year and half. I got no notice....nothing!! The new dentist seems like an alarmist to me and wanted to order all these extra procedures. Done, done, done!!!! read more

I have had some past experiences with Dentists that were far from positive so I am so grateful to have found Taher Dhoon and this office. They are so wonderful I cannot even say enough good things about them. The last Dentist I was at was trying to over charge me and I received terrible service. The exact opposite happened here. The service is amazing, friendly, compassionate, everything you could hope for. The costs were lower than what I was told at another office and they offered many options on what I could do and how to save money. I was certainly confident for the first time in a long time that I was not paying too much or paying for anything I did not need. On top of that Taher was so wonderful about explaining everything and reassuring me I felt very comfortable and confident that I was in excellent hands!
