Donuts made fresh to order? Yes, please! These are hot, delicious, bite sized pieces of fried heaven. There are so many different flavors to choose from, each one more delicious than the last! They melt in your mouth, and the dough is just the perfect amount of sweet. Adult and kid approved. I also want to make sure to mention how awesome and fast the service is. The line was out the door each time we've gone, and we've been in and out in less than 10 minutes. They always have smiling faces and offer friendly conversation. WOW. This is my second time tasting these little treats and they did not disappoint (again) I have been suggesting this place to everyone who will listen to me! They remind me of a little donut shop in Venice Beach, CA called Zelda's...same concept of making the donuts right in front of you. Only better because there are so many options! I love this local donut shop. There are TONS of options for a good donut. Lots of frosting flavors, sprinkles, toppings, you name it. The only thing I would suggest for their variety is adding a gluten free donut. All of the donuts are mini which I prefer because they are priced better that way. All of the donuts are made fresh right in front of you. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The place is very clean. I love the donuts that have anything coffee flavored on them. Not sure if this was because the dough was older? I'd say everyone got their own opinion on the price of mini donut. Once-in-a-generation talents come around only once in a...well...generation. Jim Brown. Michael Jordan. Tiger Woods. LeBron James. I believe we've just experienced this generation's Donut talent. We were on the edge of our seats, checking Facebook daily for weeks, waiting to see when Bro's Dough's would open. So when it did and we were finally able to make a donut-run, the word excited doesn't even come close to our state of minds. Made to order, gourmet, mini donuts. With 50 different toppings options, it was a nearly overwhelming at first. But we focused and stayed calm. We decided on a well rounded variety of 12 (a Bro-Pack if you will). We then watched as the donuts came directly from the fryer to the toppings department and then into our box. We managed to maintain some serious self control and waited until we got home to indulge. As I carried the box into the house, I could feel the bottom of the box was still warm --a great sign! The next 5-10 minutes were a blur!! I remember an initial crisp on the donut, followed by a warm, moist, soft, and unbelievably delectable interior that literally (and I'm not joking. Not even 1% on the joke-meter!) melted in my mouth. I've never had a donut like this before! And I've had my fair share. The toppings were also top notch! My 3 choices were the lemon/blueberry bar, raspberry crumble, and dutch crumb. Bro's Doughs did NOT skimp AT ALL on the quality of the toppings either. They could have, because the donut itself is exquisite, and I would have still given a 5 star review...but they decided to complete their creations with upper echelon toppings as well. I stopped in after being suggested to check this place out by fellow yelper Katy C, and I'm so glad she told me! It was not quite what I was expecting - when I walked in I expected to see a case of donuts, like every other donut place. Instead, I see a small donut making machine, and a counter covered in various toppings, with a small display board of the choices available. All the donuts are made fresh to order - you just tell them what you want, they take them out of the fryer and they top them right in front of you. It's a really cool idea, and I was impressed with the speed and consistency in the donuts I ordered. These are probably the best donuts I've ever had (and I don't even really like cake donuts!) - everything is fresh out of fryer, warm and gooey. My kids and I devoured a dozen mini donuts easily. As a fan of freshly made, warm doughnuts I visited Bro's Dough this morning for the first time. It reminds me a lot of their neighbor, The Doughnut Conspiracy given the wide choices of doughnuts with many variations of toppings, except at this place the doughnuts are mini sized. I bought a box of 12 to take home and was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. If you have kids this place is the bomb, but you'll need to plan to buy at least two or three doughnuts for each child, and another one or two for a grown man like me. Since I didn't need gummy worms, bacon, or crushed oreos on my doughnut, I ordered their "classics" which were simply glazed with regular sugar glaze, chocolate glaze, and coffee glaze. Recently ordered some on Grubhub because we wanted a treat and to support someone local we haven't tried before. It was well worth it. We got a dozen of the specialty donuts. They were a bit smaller than expected- smaller than the "normal" donut- but the quality was amazing. You can tell that they're made fresh every day, the donut itself was probably the best I've ever had, and the toppings were amazing as well. Money well spent! We'd heard good reports about the doughnuts here, so we dropped by to give them a try. The person helping us was very helpful, and explained that the doughnuts displayed are examples of what they make for your order. They looked wonderful though smallish. She essentially custom makes them according to the ones you choose. She decorates each and you get them still hot. Though they tasted fairly good, we found that since they're made with the same dough they tend to taste the same regardless of how decorated. The one I chose with lemon icing had very little lemon flavor. They are labor intensive to make so I understand the higher than usual cost. If there are other people in front of you, be prepared for a wait. It's an interesting approach but seems to fall short on the flavor side. read more

Being that I love doughnuts, I finally go to try this place out. I was surprised when I seen they make your doughnuts as you watch. The day I went, there was only one person there that I saw. He was hopping around getting things done quickly. I had to wait a couple minutes to have the 6 that I ordered be fried up. Once they were cooked, I watched him make 6 different kinds right in front of me. He packed them in the box and handed a half dozen WARM doughnuts. This concept is pretty cool. Now for the couple things I didn't care for. The prices was a little steep for the size of the doughnuts. They are small and it was $8 for a half dozen. They also tasted a little over cooked to me. Not quite a burnt taste, just an over cooked taste. Could also have been the type of batter they use. Not really sure. I was able to get over that as the toppings that were on them tasted good. This place is like a doughnut boutique. They have small cake doughnuts with classic icing (which limón is included, yay!) and then they have the ones you can create with cool options. Pro's: the place is clean,instructions for ordering are clearly stated on the wall, you get to see how the doughnuts are made, fresh. Cons: these are small in size and in flavor. They taste just like any other cake doughnut, and they are EXPENSIVE. For that price, you can get a full doughnut anywhere else, especially for what you pay for the fancy ones. If you are into different flavors, then I suggest you visit the other doughnut place on Knapp corner, next to Golden Wok. So, bottom line: if you want to impress your colleagues or that special doughnut lover in your life, and don't care about the cost, then this place is nice.
