For the price, I don't think you can beat this service. They had everything moved down to the last screw/bolt in a few hours. They also checked in multiple times and asked if I wanted help positioning items. They accepted Zelle, which was very convenient instead of carrying cash or running to an ATM. I took a star off for the following reasons: - My TV is covered in handprints and fingerprints. I gave them the box and everything. I wish they'd used gloves or something. - A few new scratches were noticed after they left and everything had settled. Minor, but annoying. - They don't pack. They cram. And empty all of your drawers. I've had movers in the past wrap everything and take as one piece, but they emptied everything and put it back in the wrong places. - Finally, they sent four guys and none of them spoke English. I'm pretty patient, and I was happy to use a translator app, but it made requests and direction very difficult and unclear. They were all very nice, but I wish I could have discussed a bit more. read more

Brother Movers did an excellent job with our move in February--very professional, efficient, and easy to work with from start to finish. The team handled everything smoothly and made the process much less stressful. One suggestion I would offer is to clearly confirm the final price in advance and have everything written down. It also helps to label boxes or note exactly where items should go. For example, I realized later that my printer was placed in the storage unit we rented, which made it difficult to locate afterward. Better labeling could have prevented that. Brother Movers is the best and the most affordable moving service in the Bay area. My friend recommended them to me after I had gotten quotes from 6 other movers in the area and I'm glad I picked Brother Movers over other options. The whole process from beginning to the end was seamless and fast. Requesting a quote online was a breeze. Their staff reached out to book a date and time soon after. The pricing was very transparent with no hidden costs. For my 1 bed 1 bath apartment move, it took Brother movers 3 hours (including the drive time between my old and new apartment). Honestly, I was expecting it to take longer because of all the furniture and big items I had and also the fact that my move involved a flight of stairs and narrow corridors. When I booked my moving service with them, they provided me a 2 hr arrival window and communicated with me ahead of time to let me know when they were going to arrive which made it easy for me to plan my day around it. The 2 movers were very efficient and fast. I had already packed most of my stuff in the boxes but there were still items that I had not packed and they even helped out with those. These items Inluded kitchen appliances, silverware and utensils, toiletries, etc. They brought their own boxes, tools, floor mats and other supplies to pack/unpack, assemble and disassemble items. I could tell they meant business. They were in and out as fast as possible. Some of the items were quite heavy and expensive and they did an amazing job handling those with care - properly wrapping it, and navigating it through those narrow corridors and stairs. Best part, they saran wrapped some of the furniture without having the need to disassemble it and that saved a lot of time. One thing, I want to call out is that the 2 movers who came to help didn't speak fluent English but that wasn't a problem at all. They were sooooo good that we barely needed to communicate. Whenever we had to communicate, I just used Google translate. Another note, they expect payment in cash so please have that handy ahead of time. They have a minimum 2 hr charge (compared to the 3 hr minimum charge that other companies have). Their tips, and truck fee are all reasonable. I ABSOLUTELY recommend them for your next move. I needed some big heavy items moved to my garage so that I could sell them on Facebook marketplace. Including a massage chair that needed to be lifted over a railing and around a corner and then driven a couple of miles away to another house. I was able to hire brothers movers for their minimum two hours which ended up costing me $393 which included their transportation fee and tips for all three movers. I think the price was a little on the high side, but I was in a hurry and didn't have any other options. I'm only taking off one star for a slight difficulty communicating. If I had spoken, Mandarin, it would've been an easier process, but as it was, I was able to use my translation app as needed to set up the transaction. I would hire them again for the simplicity of the process. But I would have Google Translate at the ready on your phone. Most of the communication we did was prior to the movers coming to my house and that was done via text message, which worked out very well in English. read more

Great movers and great prices. They showed up earlier than expected and got started right away. They even placed a mat and removed their shoes. Early on there was friction and miscommunication, but customer service helped us resolve all issues. There was a language barrier, but it didn't slow down the process. Fast, efficient, and good to work with. I would do business with them again. I offer three small criticisms: 1. The two guys who came to move my stuff didn't speak English (I think they spoke Chinese) but one of them understood a few words, and in a pinch we could communicate via smartphone translators. This wasn't a hindrance, but customers should know up front. 2. This business is cash-only. Like all other movers, they quote a per-hour rate. But if cash is the only payment accepted, you need to ask for an estimate to know how much cash to bring. This can be significant for large moves. The estimate they gave me was too low by about 30%. Fortunately I brought extra cash. They should accept other payment types; this is the twenty-first century after all. 3. Brothers: I detest "suggested" tips. Fold it into your rate and pay your people more! I didn't have enough cash to give the guys the full tip suggested; I was short by $10 per person. With an electronic payment I could have paid more, but you set your payment terms, not me, and this caused you to get less. read more

I highly recommend Brother Movers which did an amazing job. 1. The movers arrived on time and let us know the exact time before hand. 2. They provide their own sturdy boxes. They don't force you to buy boxes like other movers. 3. They help you unpack efficiently. But if you want to unpack some boxes by yourselves, they give you option to rent the boxes temporarily and return the boxes when you finish later. They will give you a refund for that. 4. Movers are very hard working. They are unstoppable. I bought some lunch and ask them to take a break in the end. They eat fast and they really want to get job done fast. 5. They dissemble and assemble beds, bunker bed, tv shelf fast. In summary, we moved from a 3400 sqft house to an even bigger one within a day. Things are so smooth. read more

Great experience. They were super transparent and super fast. When I was getting quotes, they replied back fast with their offerings and openings and I was able to book the timeframe I want. The day before, the messaged me for me to confirm. Day of, I messaged them and seeing if they were on track and they replied back they were. They texted me when they were 5 minutes out so I knew they were arriving. Upon entering they took a look at my place and got to work. Everything was loaded onto the truck within 30 minutes. They wrapped up my belongings. Took apart my bed. Wrapped the bed up so it wouldn't get dirty. And was careful with my monitor (they wrapped it with the bed). Many times, movers take a long time getting from my first location to where I want it to be. They were TOO fast. I still had to do a walk through with the office manager. It was perfectly OK though because they were really fast unloading as well. Even though this was on the fourth floor, it took them less than an hour to unload everything so I didn't even hit the minimum time. It was great. They removed their shoes when going into carpeted areas (I think you can ask them to remove their shoes everywhere but I didn't mind). They also took some time to fix one of my tables. It was super loose (I bought it from a roommate and it wasn't put together very well). And they fixed it even though it had nothing to do with the move. I think every mover I had previously dropped something or ruined some of my furniture. One of my pots got broken by a mover before. Brother's movers did not drop or ruin anything. Everything looked the way it was. They were careful and took care of my things. Overall very happy with my experience. Oh, I had a question when I was booking it. They are cash only but do accept Venmo. I prepared cash just in case but it looks like they can use apps if needed. read more

Great service. Two-man crew showed up with a big truck. They were about 25 minutes late, but it was their last job of the day and so I sort of expected they'd be running a bit behind schedule. I just had a handful of items to move from one house to another with a short drive between. They moved a large dining table up a tricky, tight staircase and they competently disassembled and reassembled a bed. They were careful with all the pieces, wrapping with plastic and using blanket protectors. Brother Movers requires a two-hour minimum and I expected the job would take two hours. They finished in 90 minutes, which was on-time for my original expectations. I had no qualms about paying for the two-hour minimum. The two movers worked so hard and diligently. We hired Brothers for a recent move on a Tuesday. The quote process through Yelp was straightforward and they were very responsive by text as the date approached. On moving day, the two movers were right on time (not early or late), came and assessed the 1bd1ba we needed to move, then wrote the time down, saran-wrapped the door open, and got right to it. They moved all of my things from door to door in just a little over four hours. Wow! They had free wardrobe boxes for use day-of. The price was extremely fair, so much so that I of course tipped extra on top of their mandatory tip. Remember to bring cash on moving day! They were efficient, careful, and even made me physically enter their truck at the conclusion of the job and open every single box they had to confirm they had moved everything to satisfaction and hadn't missed any items. I should note that the third floor apartment I moved to had no elevator, and they still managed the job like total champs. Would not hesitate to hire them again, wholeheartedly recommend. The team of 3 was on time to move a 3 bedroom house. A few minutes earlier, actually. They didn't speak English great, but they understood what I was saying, as I was providing direction. I had two drop off locations, and they were able to accommodate with no issues. When we got to the storage facility, because of the tight turns, they had to park their truck in a different row and bring the items, including large pieces of furniture, and a full size washer and dryer, to my storage unit. But they were able to use dollies to bring the items over and did not complain. They were very professional, and handled each piece with care by wrapping it and were cautious when bringing the items down the narrow stairs. They were also fast, not milking for time. I didn't regret choosing Brother Movers for my house to house move at all, they were quick, efficient, and easy to work with. They charge by person and hour for each person. It was worth it since we had a lottt of furniture that would've taken us forever! I saw how they wrapped up furniture and home decor in tape, foam and boxes in a secure way while making sure that the surroundings were taken care of. They worked with my requests to not move certain items that I pointed out. They had a lot of room in their truck and was able to move 3 people's worth of stuff to a new house.
