Good things: they arrived on time and finished packing, unpacking fast. But they seemed to be in hurry. 1. They didn't handle the boxes carefully. Ultimately, breaking a wine glass and plastic cloth stand. This move was for a mile. The same stuff I moved across states without a single scratch. One box was labeled glassware, handle carefully. They brought it with 3 big boxes on top of it. We were expecting they would tape boxes those are heavy and not sturdy. But they didn't. They didn't use floor protectors until we asked them multiple times. They didn't use floor protector for carpet at all even though they promised in the emails that they would. I moved locally yesterday from a 4000 sf home to a 2300 sf home. I solicited a few movers. Since the pandemic, movers don't want to come out to the house to give a quote. The want to do a video tour or just give you a T&M quote over the phone. I wasn't comfortable with this approach. In addition to the normal stuff to move, I also have artwork that I wanted to be sure that the movers understood what was required. When I called John, he gave me a crew rate like the others. But when I said I would feel more comfortable if he walked through my home, he said 'No problem'. John gave me a reasonable proposal and included added insurance for moving the artwork. John and a partner moved the artwork separately from the rest of the house. This was a very smart approach. A few days later, he had a four man team move our house in a day. Used this company twice. We moved from Evergreen to Willow Glen last month and used them for the first time. Three person came and worked very hard. They packed everything carefully and swiftly loaded up the big truck. They unpacked and put things where i wanted them to be after drop off. We paid by the hour $145/hr and was satisfied with how long it took to move our 3/3 home. The price ended up cheaper than other companies that quoted us both per hour or per job. We used them again today to move another 3/3 from Milpitas to Evergreen. They did a good job again! We tipped the workers at the end both time even though it was not mandatory. They were just so nice and hard working. Easy communication all the way and they have good availabilities. Will use them again in the future if needed and refer them to friends. Highly recommended. When I first started the process of looking for a mover, All Stars was the only one where someone actually picked up the phone. I spoke with Carol and she was professional and friendly and quickly provided a written estimate with a clear breakdown of the charges. She promptly answered all of my questions, and once when I called her and she was on the other line, she texted me that she was tied up with another call, but still responded to me via text so that I didn't have to wait. I really appreciated that and it showed how customer focused the company is. I also appreciated how before each visit, they sent an email confirming the visit, and on the day of the appointment, someone always called in advance to let me know they were on the way and how approximately long it would take to arrive. My long distance move originated on a Sunday with delivery the next day (right before New Year's Eve), and they were very accommodating and flexible with this schedule even during a holiday week. The movers were very professional and respectful in how they packed everything and so efficient. At my destination, John and Gerardo made sure to place all the boxes and items according to how they were labeled and asked which rooms they went to if it was not clear. They even helped to move/reorganize some of our furniture to make things look better. My mother really appreciated that. They also brought extra boxes, tape, wardrobe boxes and wrap and helped me finish up the million little things I couldn't finish on my own. They also disassembled our dining set and bed frame and shrink wrapped our mattresses plus put each item in the destination room as needed. Hired them for a long distance move back in November. Foreman who showed up was unprofessional. Showed up with 5 guys to move the house. Asked them to put booties on since we were moving out, and just had the carpets clean. They didn't. Asked the for a manifest, gave me attitude. Never provided me with a manifest. Provided them with waters and snacks. Left the empty bottles behind and chip bags outside and in the house. Fast forward to delivery. They didn't have to set up anything or move anything into the house: just had to transfer to garage: tried to charge us more than the agreed upon quote. Thank God I had the original paperwork. Fast forward, we have no clue where they put the hardware to our beds and desks to build them. We're also missing two boxes. I've called and emailed Carol and back on 1/8 she said the owner would be reaching out . Nothing and I don't care anymore. Furniture was dirty and damaged. Missing hardware. Unprofessional workers.
