I had an amazing experience with my movers and had to share. Moving a full 4-bedroom house (upstairs and downstairs) is no joke! Especially with gym equipment, a backyard trampoline, garage items like a freezer and sauna, plus a washer and dryer--but Alexis, Peter, and Ciro handled everything flawlessly. They wrapped and protected all of my furniture with so much care, disassembled and reassembled everything, and even took down mounted TVs without any issues. They also used floor protectors and mats the entire time, which I really appreciated in both homes. Not only were they efficient and careful, but they also made the whole experience enjoyable. By the end of the move, they were cracking jokes and keeping the energy positive, which honestly made a stressful day so much better. They even let us borrow their drill while we were putting things together in the new house, which I thought was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Overall, 10/10 service. I had moved earlier this month from a 1 bd to a 2bd. It was pretty neat effort from Ciro and Peter to help us move. They did a great job taking care of the furniture and fragile items and there were no issues starting them back after my move. My only complaint/advice is for the company to inspect the homes prior . With 2 people, it took 8 hrs to move. It would've been a lot better if I got 3 movers. That may have costed me more than it should've have. read more

We had one of the worst moving experiences. Two people showed up with one small dolly. They carried one small part of the furniture at each time. We tried talking to both the main office and the movers and they were of no help. We move almost every year, it is a 2 bedroom apartment with only 2 people and it has never taken more than 3 hrs. They took 5 hrs as we were paying a per hour price with a mandatory $10 per hr tip for each mover. On reaching the new house, they didn't remove the cling wrap or clean up after all the packing material they threw around and kept forcing us to empty boxes and help them. Tl;dr Customer service tries but falls short. Weeks now after the move, with all of our boxes unpacked, we cannot locate our marble side table. It's heavy, not small, hard to miss. I realize it's on me to have thoroughly checked. This complaint isn't about the missing item. It's about their customer service to address it. They dismissed the concern, stated we should have been checked the truck after the move, promised to ask the movers on that day, but after that I can only get voicemail which is not set up for the number... your customer service phone number does not have voicemail. The scheduling of the move was also an issue. I called to book, received verbal confirmation, called a few times to confirm if they bring the cling film wrap and moving blankets, and the day arrived and...no one came. I had to follow up and wait for them to send 2 trucks 3 hours later. Movers are fine. The issue is just service. If you're doing a move once, do it right and just don't risk it with terrible service. They were slightly late but called ahead to let me know, so I appreciated the communication. We had already packed and boxed most of the smaller items prior to the move in order to save time and costs, but the movers helped with loading and wrapping some of the larger furniture items before packing into the truck. Quick and efficient service, my family has used twice for our moves from different areas of Sunnyvale to San Jose. We had a LOT of stuff, big furniture, piano, they can do it all, assemble and dissembled bed, etc. The workers waste no time and are very well organized and prompt! They wrap everything well and come prepared with tools and equipment. They have a coordinator (English service), that helps arrange booking details, aka #ppl, locations etc. Cash only! Overall better rate than other companies in this area ($110-$140/hr + depending on # movers needed), they charge by hourly rates and up charges for special items, as well as $10 cash tip per mover per hour. read more

Very poor customer service. They are only responsive when booking a move, but should you have issues with the move and require a resolution, they will go MIA. You would have to constantly follow up, otherwise they will not proactively communicate and work towards a resolution. Be careful, they changed the price on me. I was given a quote, EXACTLY AS WRITTEN: "Price：$110/hr 2 movers minimum 2 hours Extra one hour for travel fee ($110)" Our move was 2.5 hours total, 1.5 hours actually moving and 1 hour driving. So the total was 2.5 x 110 (but there's a 3 hour minimum which is fine) I was ready to pay 330$. However I was told my total was 3.5 hours because apparently the extra hour for travel fee was on top of the 2.5 hours total? Yeah they were trying to charge me an extra half hour, I refused to pay. The lady on the phone kept arguing with me, even though that's exactly what the quote said. She kept asking me how much I'm going to tip the workers (I assume to take their tip). Overall pretty sketch interaction. The movers were amazing though. 10/10 movers very professional, wrapped everything, put down a carpet, were very careful moving. read more

This was by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. We moved from a 1,500 sq ft 3B/2B home to another 1,500 sq ft 4B/2B home just 10 minutes away, but the move dragged on for 10 hours (9 AM - 7 PM). The company sent three movers, but only one seemed experienced. The other two were very inexperienced -- while they tried, they worked painfully slow and unorganized, which wasted the entire day. The customer service was unbelievable. At one point, I called the office to ask if the crew could move faster. Instead of helping, the front desk lady told me they should stop the move immediately and asked the movers to leave -- even though half my belongings were already loaded on the truck. When I explained I have an infant and a preschooler and asked how my kids were supposed to sleep without their beds, she said, "They'll just have to sleep on the floor." I was panicked and shocked at such disregard. On top of that, she warned me that if the move went longer, they would charge me double. Completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, they broke one of our expensive bookcases and damaged one leg of our Nanit baby camera. I've used many moving companies before, and this was hands down the worst -- slow, unprofessional, careless, and with the most appalling customer service I've ever seen. The second time we used them... we had them take some things to storage .. when we went to the storage unit there were things missing ... two tool bags had missing tools .. athletic hats and Levi jeans. While my earlier experiences were positive, my most recent move on 6/19 was disappointing. 1.Unreliable scheduling: They were originally scheduled to arrive around noon. The day before, I was told it would be 8:30am. Then on the morning of the move, I got another call saying they'd try for 11am due to traffic--yet they showed up at 8:30am without notice. What happened to the traffic delay? 2.Careless handling: One of the movers stacked several suitcases poorly, and they fell over twice while being moved. 3.Damaged furniture: My chair arrived dirty and chipped, with no explanation offered. My nuggets were not wrapped and was all dirty. 4.Unprofessional behavior: During the one hour of loading, the crew took three smoking breaks, leaving the job frequently. I had a great experience with this company. The two movers i had were Ciro and Peter. I only moved around a mile away and the two movers did a great job moving everything and unpacking everything in the different rooms. They were considerate about taking off the shoes on the new carpet at the new home. They took good care of all my belongings with out damaging anything, even the very heavy objects i had. The experience with NEW JOY Moving (AKA Joy Moving, Joymoving123) was magnificent on Friday, May 31st! I found this company while researching for my BFF's move last December. They were amazing with her move! From the start of online communication, texts, and email communication to the final box carefully moved, all smooth. I relocated from San Jose to Santa Clara and I'm just catching my breath. I have much unpacking and culling yet hence my delay with this review. PEDRO & JOSE were a dynamic duo team. They rolled out the red carpets and worked non-stop for nine (9) hours straight! I had no idea how unprepared I truly was for this nearly 20 year impending event. They smiled at every turn as they filled their gigantic truck, box by box, appliance by appliance. They even dismantled both beds. Needless to say, I filled their giant truck to the brim. This left me to hire a second moving company to finish my job. Between my SUV, vans and pick up loads, it was taking too long to finish up. My experience with the second unnamed company will remain nameless and void of review given the contrasting experience. Fun fact, the second movers (English speaking project lead Jonathan) worked for New Joy previously. He's a smooth talker. He called and insisted on arriving an hour early. I was not ready. They arrived and I offered Jonathan a canopy tent from my yard (listed FREE in craigslist). He was elated to load that for himself. Lastly, I was stunned when I found a huge ball of plastic wrap in my garbage can. New Joy insisted on taking all used debris and never accepted a single item I offered. In closing, New JOY hooked up my appliances, unwrapped all items and even moved a few giant potted plants (I gave away) into friends cars. They are a 6 STAR team. I was observing this company as they were moving things into a neighbor's apartment. Some moving companies, when the client is not watching, they usually don't care much for their items. However, all their workers were SO careful as they made sure none of the furniture was banged, messed up, dropped, or placed on the floor. They were so careful with the client's items as if the items belonged to them. They were kind to each other and communicated well even though they were moving everything to the 3rd floor and could have been frustrated/tired.
