Recently moved to the Chino area and needed to find a shop to get my Jeep JK serviced after experiencing a death wobble. Its been a year since I got my 4" lift and 35" tires and knew it was time to upgrade some suspension components. Spoke to Gaspar and received a quote to get my Teraflex tie rod, drag link, front upper/lower control arms and steering stabilizer installed. Mentioned I would be providing all the parts and quoted me a very reasonable price for the install. The guys were very honest and took time answering all my questions. I brought my Jeep on a Monday AM and it was ready by the end of the day! Drove it home and my wobble was gone! Steering felt a lot nicer too! I will definitely be coming back here again as I have more projects lined up. read more

These guys installed a 3" lift on my Wrangler. There is now a noise near left front when ever I make a right turn onto uneven surface. This could not be traced. I got an attitude when we went on a test drive and could not pinpoint the problem. Prior to install I asked them to inspect OEM bushing for wear due to high mileage. I was told this would be inspected once the Jeep is up on the lift and that I would get a phone call asking if I wanted to change them out. I said do it anyway since they were old. Upon bringing the Jeep in for a re- torque I was told I needed new bushings. I now get vibration when accelerating from a dead stop. I was told this would not be a problem with a 3" lift. After re torque I was told another $800 to fix this. I'm not real happy with all the issues I'm having. I believe these ...or at least 2 of the issues should have been addressed when the Jeep was on the lift. I'm OK with having to bring the Jeep back in to make this right but the attitude I got from Steven was a ridiculous and immature. Condescending talk from a guy half my age is unacceptable. I got two referrals from friends. One was 100% positive and the other was 100% bad. At this point if anything goes wrong even if under warranty I won't go back. read more

I had my 99 GMC sierra towed over to Brothers 4 x 4 I thought the rear gears were all ruined, because there was metal shavings inside the gear oil and I mean big chunks of metal I called over to Brothers and spoke with gasper, and he told me I would need a rebuild so I had my 99 GMC sierra towed over to Brothers 4 x 4 in the am once the truck got there he inspected it and gave me a call and said it was the rear differential carrier that needed to be replaced.... He called me a little bit later saying my u- joints are bad so I went ahead and got those changed out as well. Didn't think he was going to give me a call around 3pm let me know my truck was done ..... I was shocked they got it done so quickly ... 5 Star rating as far as Im concerned. I went in at 8am and brought a set of JL Rubicon takeoffs suspension to install on my Sahara. They also had a good deal on a tire/wheel combo that I was eyeing for a long time. Gaspar quoted me a pretty fair price for the install along with the tire/wheel set and said the Jeep would be done by 4pm. He even offered to set up a ride for me to go back home. Jeep was done by 3:15pm and ready to go. Install was perfect. I got exactly what I had in mind. Gaspar took care of me. He even threw in black lug nuts for free. Owning/managing such a huge garage is no easy task. Pricing was fair and competitive. The guy working at the front desk was a cool dude as well. All in all, its an ideal place to get your Wrangler fixed, tuned, lifted, or whatever the case may be. They can pretty much get you anything you want. Gasper is a very honest guy I asked him lots of questions regarding jeep accessories and lift kits and he gave me an honest answer what got me he said if you really want to experience the 4 x 4 Community is to go out and see it for myself before purchasing any accessory for your car like lift kits etc.. Brother's 4x4 is a gold-standard business and I would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from them. I had been searching for a very specific and increasingly rare Jeep for several years. It's the last Jeep I ever wanted to buy, so I wanted to be sure I was getting the right one. I eventually stumbled on a Craigslist ad Brother's posted for a 2005 LJ Rubicon 6-speed they had in stock. I'm located in Reno, NV and wanted to be sure I was buying a quality vehicle prior to making the 400 mile trip south to pick it up and haul it back on my flatbed. My phone conversations with Gaspar were transparent and informative from the beginning. He really knew his stuff. We were able to strike a deal over the phone, for what I thought was a phenomenal price, and I sent Brothers 4x4 a deposit via PayPal to hold the Jeep for a few days for me until I could get down to pick it up. Upon arriving at the shop in Montclair, I was immediately blown away by their operation. This is not your average used car dealer. It seems most of their business comes in the form of shop work on customer vehicles and custom builds. Jeeps of all vintages were scattered throughout the large warehouse and the lead mechanic, Haik, was more than happy to walk around the shop and talk about the various works in progress they had going. It was gear-head heaven. After getting a tour of the place, Haik led me over to my Jeep-to-be. He very methodically walked me through the Jeep from bumper to bumper, explaining all the modifications both the previous owner and Brothers had done to it. Haik went completely through the Jeep, even painting the frame. He freshly powder-coated the bumpers and armor. He installed fresh bushings and boots in the steering and suspension components and greased all the zerk fittings. It was topped off with 5 brand new 38" mud terrains with new American Racing wheels. Aside from the 60k miles on the motor, this Jeep was effectively brand new mechanically. I've bought several used vehicles in my lifetime, and none of them have come even close to the condition and sale preparation Brothers gave this one. A final shoutout to Gaspar who bailed me out while at the DMV. The week after the transaction, I went down to the DMV to register my new toy. I forgot a critical piece of paperwork the DMV clerk needed. Gaspar had included it in my stack of paperwork, but I failed to bring it with me. I called him up, explained my predicament, and shortly after he faxed my missing paperwork to the DMV office. This saved me a wasted trip to the DMV, which is hard to put a price on. I was able to successfully register the vehicle on my first trip and have Gaspar to thank for being there to answer my request. These guys kept my jeep for 35 days to instal a fan clutch, radiator hose and some control arms. $2300 later and 35 days later. (4 hours of labor and 3-5 shipping for parts MAX) Gaspar returns my jeep with an empty gas tank, a brand new engine I just installed and this guy is "test driving" my vehicle and storing it in the 100F garage with an empty gas tank. My jeep couldn't even make it to a gas station, 2 miles away. Stops running (which takes over 60 miles of driving even after the tank is on empty) Then a P0204, P0206 (fuel injection malfunction) shows up with the check engine light. When I called the owner very upset about my jeep being mistreated and having problems, he told me "That is how you left it with me" I needed repairs and this clown cost me more damage, kept my jeep for 35 DAYS!!! When I contacted them and was upset he cussed me out on the phone and suggested it was my fault. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS !! They are terrible at communication, they take forever and they will abuse your vehicle. If you care about your jeep or truck, STAY AWAY!!! read more

So...I've managed to get over the wave of ugly feelings enough to share a story. My husband had been looking around for a car, mostly at jeeps. Hes been looking for a while. We made local trips to look at some and called around for some further away. He finds this very nice jeep in Montclair. He calls the dealership, talks to a guy who turns out to be the owner of a small place. Over the course of a few days, there are alot of calls between us, our bank and the owner. Friday night, my husband makes plans with the guy to head out after our little one's practice Saturday. Our loan was set, the deal was made, we were to get there, make sure the jeep was as advertised and sign documents. Saturday morning, we wrap practice up, rush home and get on the road. It was over 200 miles to the dealer. Since our child is five, she required bathroom stops and rest stops. LA traffic on a Saturday afternoon is a jungle. We are texting with the guy as we are driving. He knows we are on the way. We are excited but we know our toddler is getting restless. It's been a long day for her. We are 17 miles from the dealership. We get a text from him saying a customer is looking at the jeep. Then the phone rings. He sold it. Yep. Sold the jeep we were 20 minutes away wrapping up a deal we had made with this guy. I cannot explain the rage that came over me. We just put our 5 year old in a car for over 200 miles, sat in bumper to bumper LA traffic for hours for this bullshit. I text him because my husband will not drive the rest of the way there so I can tell him how I really feel. No response. Be careful. Not a man of his word. No apologies, nothing. So if you are in the Montclair area, avoid this place. I'm sure he does great work, but when you lack ethic, your word means crap. read more

I'm not one who typically does "social media" stuff and posts info., however, in my recent experience with Hiak (one of the owners of the shop), I cannot keep this experience to myself. Every now and then you meet somebody who goes out of their way to make sure your experience is the best it can be. In fact, Hiak went so far out of his way to satisfy my concerns with a Jeep TJ we recently purchased from him - that I almost felt guilty as he and his team worked to correct ALL our issues, and some even without charging us for. Hiak never made me feel like he was trying to "up-sale" me or take advantage of my wallet. I even offered to pay for some minor items that he corrected on his own, while he had the Jeep, to which he would not except money for - he only stated, "these things should have been caught when we first went through it..." Who does this? I bought a "used" Jeep, I didn't expect it to be perfect - but Hiak made sure we were satisfied before we left his shop. I have been in Jeeping for many years and have seen a shop or two. I have learned how to rate the "good" from the "bad" - BROTHERS 4X4 is Great! read more

my husband and I bought a jeep from these guy's and got snuffed! I heard a shuddering sound they told me it was because of the little lift they had done to it. They said this always happens. I took it in to get looked at. It needed a major alignment and a new back axle. This has cost me over 5,000 extra dollars that I have had to pay.
