I just wanted to share that this was hands down the best experience I've ever had at an auto shop. 10/10! Hopefully, I won't have to be back too often , but if I do, I know exactly where I'm going. Not only did they find the problem with my Jeep, but honestly, it drives better than it did the first day I bought it. I might be exaggerating a little, but truly, I'm so happy with the work! The communication was fast, clear, and extremely helpful. Their diagnostic report was also 10/10. They clearly categorized the recommended repairs by priority, so I knew what needed attention right away and what could wait. Most importantly, I never felt like they were trying to upsell me or recommend unnecessary work. The pricing was very reasonable, and I completely understand that quality work comes with a cost. Writing an updated review to highlight the exceptional customer service I received in response to my original review. The owner reached out directly and sent his personal number so we could chat. I explained my experience, he apologized for the misunderstanding on the shop's end, and provided me a refund for the overcharge. He also offered mechanic advice should I need any in the future - even if I didn't go with his shop. My family has used the shop before and had a good experience so I do believe my experience was a fluke. My husband initially found this business after reading up on reviews and I have used this location for my oil changes for the past couple of years. The service is always friendly and the shop is clean. I found that they didn't often follow through on what was expected and/or they took shortcuts. For instance, after telling me I needed a new cabin air filter, on my next oil change service, I also requested to have my cabin air filter replaced. When questioned if they changed the air filter, the mechanics admitted he hadn't, nor did he check it. This required me to have to return on a future date to have the cabin air filter replaced, as they did not have one on hand. Often times during the past couple of years they neglected to rotate the tires during my oil change services and said my tires were good and didn't need rotating. Most recently, in July 2019, I had my oil changed and also asked that they complete an inspection on my car, as I was planning to take a road trip and wanted to avoid any unexpected problems while out of the area. They conducted the oil change and said the car was in great shape, but again did not rotate the tires. Ten days later, I left town on my road trip and about 70 miles into the trip my car began to shake as we drove down the freeway. We pulled off the road and discovered my right rear tire was split. We called around and found a local garage that had the tire I wanted on hand. The wear shown on my tires (see attached photos) certainly did not happen all within then days. I called David and he apologized for my inconvenience, but said he measured my tires at "5." Sure the tire tread measured "5" on the outer tire but as you can see, the balding was on the inner tire. This should have been noticed during the inspection and had the tires been rotated, definitely should have been noticed during that process. Their shortcomings have cause me to go elsewhere. read more

This is one of the cleanest auto repair locations we have ever been in!! The owner greeted us right away and was very friendly. Where do I begin.. Getting my car fixed has always been such a headache, so when my car started making some strange sounds I knew I needed to get this taken care of quickly. I initially went to the Honda dealership (I have a 2017 civic) and not only did they charge me a ridiculous amount to perform a diagnostic test, they also quoted me an insane amount of money to change my brakes and complete basic maintenance. I think it's important to note not only did they miss a dead rat in my engine compartment but also confirmed the rattling sound my car was making was "normal". After a long a stressful yelp search I came across Main Street Garage, I was very impressed by the yelp reviews so I gave them a call. I spoke with Dave and he couldn't have been more lovely and incredibly helpful! He clearly knows his stuff and is super knowledgeable. He quoted me a fair and reasonable price and when I dropped off my car I was even offered a loaner vehicle! My car was ready days later and I am truly so happy with the quality and service I received. David, the owner, bought this business from his dad, and he completely understands that a loyal customer is worth more than trying to scare you for an extra $100. This place knows how to do the job the right way. Went to a Honda Dealership down the road for my 2015 Honda Accord,it was having trouble starting. Went in and talked to Honda and they charged me to do a diagnostic. They call me the next day and say you need to replace your starter it's $750 for parts and labor. Strange for a 5 year old car right? So I call this company and talk to Dave. He tells me bring it over so he can take a look. He runs some diagnostics and says nope not a starter issue just a bad battery. Saved me a boat load of money and the problem is fixed. Car is running like a beauty. After reading all the positive reviews, I can only think there had to be other factors in play that drove Dave and John to treat me so poorly. I am an African American female, and while I have no facts to back up that these people are racist the vibe I was getting told the WHOLE TALE. I have NEVER been treated in such a demeaning and condescending manner during a business transaction and I most certainly have NEVER been asked to take my business elsewhere. After Main Street Garage installed a bad alternator in my car car TWICE, and caused me to break down on 3 occasions, using up all tows covered under my warranty and car insurance, I pressed them to look beyond the surface of what was wrong with my car and do a thorough diagnsotic. When I pressed them, they pushed back and told me that a diagnostic would cost me. Wait...what?! So after I already paid for this work in February, brought the car back with the same exact problem, which you claimed to fix yet again Monday (car broke down before we even made it home from the repir shop), now (the third time) you are stating that you were probably WRONG in your diagnostic but that I will now have the pay for an accurate diagnosis?! Dave literally handed me my keys and with a smug look told me I should go elsewhere. John said that he COULD make an exception and perform the diagnostic "for free" (although mind you, I already paid for an incorrect/incomplete diagnostic) but that he would not make an exception and that "they were good people" and I should go. Just know that a good car repair garage will diagnose a PROBLEM not just repair a PART. This place is decent if you know what part you need/want replaced. I WOULD NOT suggest you go here for any diagnostic work because that is clearly not their area of expertise. This place is not worth your money, time, or dignity. Reliable Service. I have an older Subaru with 150k+ miles on it. It's a great car, but definitely needs some love once in a while to make sure it stays tight. All service done to the car under my ownership has been done by MainStreet Garage. For the last 50k, David helps me keep the car alive. After multiple motor-out services to replace clutches, gaskets and other components, the Subie runs strong, and will continue to! I'm not easy on cars. I drive hard and have fun while driving 30k a year. Dave is always stoked to advise me on replacement parts, and even let me know of worthu upgrades to make sure the car stands up to my abuse. Speaking of driving hard, warped my front rotors the other day. Normally I'd groan about this, but Dave advised me to get a higher quality StopTech rotor from the start, which means they will be warrantied! That's rad. It's great to have support for something like that. We hold our cars responsible for a lot, let David be responsible for your car. read more

Our first time here was last week. They diagnosed one of our work vans, provided pricing that was extremely competitive and had the job completed the same day. I can't say enough good things about the facility, the communication which was personal and kind, as well as the detail and honesty about repairs that we needed and why.
