We initially went in for an oil change and smog check. We weren't able to get the smog, but the service was great & the people are caring. We also had to get some engine work done at a later appointment. They were understanding of how funds are tight for us and worked with us to get the priority things fixed that fit within our budget. They weren't pushy like other places tend to be. We will be going back to them to get other things fixed. I like that they give you pictures of the work done & during the assessment. First time customer here. I found this shop on Google & made an appointment... At first , not gonna lie, I thought the price was a little high compared to what I'm used to paying for an oil change. I usually pay $85 and they were quoting me $130 here for just an oil change I have a 2010 Honda Element and needed a brake light bulb replaced too. They had a coupon available for the oil change so It brought it down to $129 for both oil & bulb What really impressed me was the communication. They sent text updates while my car was being worked on and provided a full digital inspection with photos and videos. They showed me my tires, air filter, battery, windshield wipers and other items they checked. They also provided quotes for future maintenance without any pressure. As a woman, I really appreciated being able to actually see what they were talking about. Instead of just telling me something needed to be replaced... they showed me pictures. That made me feel a lot more comfortable and confident that I wasn't being sold something I didn't need. The shop itself is clean and modern. I also liked that there is a window where you can see them working on your vehicle. I've never had a mechanic provide this much information before. It gave me peace of mind knowing my car is in good shape and now I know what items I should keep an eye on for the future. I have been to this location before and there was a guy there who answered all my questions and knew exactly what was wrong with my car This time I took my car was trying to figure out what was the problem with my car the guy who was there this time was very unaware of what's was going on even though I told him the battery was new he insisted that it was the battery that I take it back to get a new one then When I told him the battery was brand new he said it would be another 200$ to further look into the problem. This place should not be called stress free at all with the money you charge just to find out The guy was very pushy and unprofessional will never go back there as long as he's there. I'm really disappointed with the lack of transparency regarding the transmission flush quote I received. I requested a quote through Yelp and was told the estimated cost would be between $170 and $220. Nowhere in that estimate was it mentioned that this price did not include the filter. Once I arrived after driving from Riverside to Montclair. I was informed the actual cost would be closer to $500. This was a frustrating and avoidable experience that wasted my time. In the future, please provide a complete and accurate breakdown upfront so customers can make informed decisions based on their budget. Clear communication matters. read more
