I typically don't take my classic to any place. I do all the work on my car to even include major work. But on this occasion I was just beat, couldn't wrap my mind around the problem and had too many things going on. I reached out to Baldy's and had my car towed to them. Baldy's definitely took care of my car and fixed the issue. I will definitely come back as a loyal customer when I am stumped. Thanks fellas! If you're in the area of looking for a reputable and quality work shop, then consider reaching out to Baldy's Classic Car Shop.

Found Baldy's on google not sure what to expect. I have a 1967 F100 and I wanted to transfer my gas tank from behind the seat and put it underneath the back of my bed his pricing was very fair 2200.00 It took about a week very fast considering other shops were giving me a a six month window. THANK YOU DARREN .....for the past six months I've been thinking about a motor/ transmission swap called up Darren he answered all my questions and concerns putting my mind at ease took about 3 months but well worth the wait... put in a 302/C6 five speed automatic transmission with A/C plus a bunch more that I can't list.... my son and I can't thank Darren enough he truly help me make my dreams come true.

Took my '50 Ford woody to Baldy's after talking to Darren over the phone to feel them out. Shop is huge, clean, and had various projects, both local and headed to overseas customers. His wrench, Kyle, took the time to put my rod on the lift and walk me through everything. I used to work on old cars 25+ yrs ago but am now in my 70's and don't have the strength, knowledge or tools. With that background, you can't BS me. I'll understand all that's being discussed. He made a list of must do and can wait until later. Very professional, knowledgeable, capable, and informative. I can tell when my chain is getting yanked, nothing came close. They didn't try to jerk me around or raid my bank account. Old cars are a special breed, parts are getting hard to find, and competent, trustworthy mechanics even harder. No such worries at this shop. I inspected completed projects and was impressed with the variety and quality of work. I'm lucky I live close by. They are more than happy to take the time to answer any questions or concerns and will offer informed recommendations then let you decide what to do. I was going to call Uber to get home but Darren insisted on taking me himself. Above & beyond. Def my kind of place.

Good work done on car. Very knowledgeable people and were timely on my repairs. They have plenty of space to house multiple vehicles.

After getting nowhere elsewhere, I brought it here and spoke directly with Mike. Mike actually took the time to listen to the symptoms and diagnose the problem instead of immediately trying to sell me expensive services I didn't need. They scanned the vehicle, found a B1235 code related to the driver side blend door actuator, and explained everything clearly. What impressed me most was the honesty. They diagnosed the actual issue and gave me a very fair price to fix it. No pressure, no upselling, and no guessing. Just straightforward, professional service. It's hard to find shops that value diagnosing the root cause instead of throwing parts or expensive services at a problem. Because of this experience, I am 100% going to recommend Mike and his shop to all of my friends and family. Thank you for being honest, knowledgeable, and treating customers the right way. Highly recommended.

They failed to properly seal the oil pan twice and I had to take my car back 3 times! the second time they had used glue to seal the oil pan making a huge mess and voiding my warranty. Not only did it take them 3 attempts to finally reaper the oil pan they also over filled my engine oil by 2 and half quarts and the e fine mounts had to be replaced "again" cause it was quite obvious they never changed in the first place but charged me for it. Now my entire front suspension is compromised either due to them tampering or just the fact they had to drop my front suspension 3 times. I took it in to a place AAA recommended in downtown LA and explain the issue. They told me I needed a new timing chain along with a whole bunch of other stuff and quotes me $4800 for it. This was preceded with a lot of scare tactics on what will happen if I don't have the work done, which came across as very used car salesman-ish. When I ran the quote through ChatGPT I was told they were charging me dealership pricing for an independent mechanic for that type of work in LA. So I brought the truck here to Speedway where I had Minor worked done before and had a good experience. They told me my bearings need to be replaced and did the work for lesson than a quarter of the price I was quoted at the other mechanic. Work was finished in a day and the truck has been running perfectly since then. Had I spent to 4800 at the place it wouldn't have even resolved the issue, which means I would've had to come out of the pocket even more after the initial work was done. Obviously a truck of this age is gonna have some problems and when they inevitably happen again I will be back here at Speedway to take care of them. Highly recommend this place for integrity, quality, efficiency and fair pricing.
