This time, she said she had a family emergency come up and had to go out of town, so she wouldn't be able to do the work on Saturday as scheduled. I get it, emergencies happen, but I was already pretty skeptical with the lack of communication before this, so I figure she had just forgotten about it. I asked when we could reschedule and she said "maybe" she'd be back on Monday and "maybe" we could get it done Tuesday or Wednesday. At this point, I was starting to panic, since I'd scheduled my carpet cleaners for Thursday and we had to be completely out of the house by end of week. I patiently waited until Monday and asked if we would be able to do this Tuesday or Wednesday, but I was met with radio silence. AVE Construction came to the rescue when our roof started leaking after a windstorm. This company is less than responsive. They hire the cheapest labor they can find and use shoddy…read morematerials. (For example; they replaced a kitchen counter top with a poorly manufactured covering that left sharp edges exposed.) My kitchen sink was removed by a remediation company who subsequently damaged it, at a later date AVE disposed of the sink with the garbage disposal attached, then claimed it wasn't their fault and are refusing to replace it. All in all, they have taken more than two years to do a job that should have taken four months maximum.
