I live in a house that was built in 1947 (Long Beach), and it has one small bathroom with a fairly good sized "V-shaped" vanity cabinet (with sink), in the corner and against the two adjoining walls. I had my bathroom remodeled and wanted to replace the cabinet with something more modern-looking. There are a lot of pre-made kitchen cabinets online, but it is hard to find bathroom cabinets, let alone companies that make custom ones. After looking around on the Internet, I was very lucky to find "Brothers Custom Kitchen Cabinets" in Gardena, CA on Yelp. I called them and spoke to Ana, the receptionist, and she had me email her a photo of the old cabinet, plus a description of what I wanted the new cabinet to look like, as well as preliminary dimensions. Their cabinet maker, Nasario, came to my house, and verified all the measurements in person. I was sent sample photos of the wood and finish that I had requested, as well as preliminary plans for approval. I must say that Nasario is incredible at what he does. When he brought the finished cabinet over to my house, not only did the quality of the wood and finish exceed my wildest dreams, but the cabinet fit absolutely perfectly in the corner of my bathroom, with the right side lining up exactly along the side of the tub. No adjustments needed to be made at all. Very reasonable prices for a custom cabinet as well. Ana is great about returning calls and emails, and always kept me updated on my cabinet's progress. Nasario is an excellent craftsman; very talented, experienced, and detail-oriented. I highly recommend Brothers for any custom cabinetry. Absolutely 5 stars! read more

Bros. stepped in when our contractor left us with incorrectly installed hinges (doors rubbing on frames with NO adjustment) and chipped faces. They were fast, professional and great to work with! They took all the doors and drawer fronts, re-finished them and re-installed this with the proper hinges so that my cabinets are now beautiful and open/close correctly! First, they were extremely welcoming; the shop displays the perfection of their work; they priced very fairly; and then; in terms of delivering the goods--this was without incidence. They built beautiful high-quality cabinets that matched their display models; they were efficient; available; receptive and importantly, trustworthy. I cannot say enough about this operation. This is one of last few, honest, family operated businesses left in Los Angeles area. I found them by accident, and was wary of them at first. After a couple of meetings and phone calls with Ana (customer service rep/ designer/ secretary), I had the impression that not only they were trying to provide best service possible, they were more worried about taking the job if they felt the customer may have unreasonable demands. Let's face it; there are more dishonest consumers that are trying to get something for nothing as there are dishonest business people. They made custom cabinets for our irregular shaped kitchen and painted to match our color sample. The quality of the doors and boxes are great. Installers were clean and courteous. The owner showed up during the installation unannounced to check the quality of work. Price was reasonable and cheaper than the quote I got for Chinese made cabinets from Costco after their 20% discount (what a joke that was). All hardware and trim was as promised and per the contract. We decided to get a bigger wall oven after the cabinets were built per old dimensions. They changed the wall oven cabinet dimensions on the spot for a few dollars and did not even complain. We are very pleased with their service and quality and would recommend them to anyone thinking of remodeling their kitchen. Update 04/13/12, I wanted a small change in one of the doors (the direction it opens) and went to the place today. Same people and same courtesy, they will make the change and charge a minimal amount for it. I am not sure why this review keeps getting sent to filtered section?? Maybe because the business is not paying Yelp for additional adds? Be that as it may, I wanted to give an update on the kitchen after almost a year of use.... No chipping or flaking of the paint, no drawers coming loose and no cracking or twisting of the doors. Cabinets still look great. We needed one 25 year old kitchen cabinet section with two doors cut down to very specific dimensions to accommodate a microwave oven that would be installed below it. Nasario and his team not only cut down the box frame to my specifications but also were able to save the original doors (exact replacement doors of this style are not available) and resize them to fit the new frame. The craftsmanship is outstanding and we had the cabinet back up in our kitchen a day after I dropped it off at his shop. I was very disappointed. The quality of their cabinets are ok. The quality of installation is bad. The main problem is they don't stand by their contracts and then charge you more. We had a contract in writing what needed to be done. They did most of my kitchen and did not finish, they wanted more money for something that was in the contract. Anna at the front desk said she made a mistake. Wow, how is that possible when its in writing. When I asked them to finish the job, they said I owed more money. Technically they owe me money. I paid them for the job that was on the contract and they want more money for not finishing. Makes absolutely no sense. I asked them to come back and fix the misaligned cabinets and install another toe kick, because they put the toe kick on before the floor was installed. Again, they wanted more money. The owner is not friendly at all (Salvadorean guy) with a very bad attitude. I don't like complaining, but what they did to me was very wrong. read more
