Nadya, the senior designer, has a great sensibility, and was incredibly quick & easy to work with. The installers were on time, courteous, and professional. They also cleaned after their work very thoroughly. (Even vacuumed outside the garage they worked on.) Several parts were missing during the installation (which wasn't their fault but their vendor's), but they corrected the issue immediately the next day. The finished garage closets are looking great. Just had with South Bay Custom Closets install a built in media unit for an upstairs TV room. From beginning to end, customer service was top notch. The designer Judith spent a 1-1.5 hours for the initial consultation and measurements, then sat with me to understand what I was looking for and building up a design real time. After the initial consult, she finished off the design over the weekend and was very responsive with the little adjustments that I requested. Price: good quality for reasonable price. I did another estimate with another company which did come in comparable to this estimate, but I felt the discriminator was their installation reputation based on reviews. Day of install: it took the team of 2 about 8 hours to install the unit, and I'm happy they took their time to ensure everything fit and was approved by me. During the install, there was a potential hiccup with a wall Ethernet port, but the installation team requested my feedback on where to cut for the port. I appreciated them asking for my feedback on the spot and that we were able to iron it out on the spot. At the end of the day, the owner Bruce showed up to finish up the install and inspect it to his level of quality, which I really appreciated. I will post more photos when our remodel is complete, but we had did 3 closets, a custom wall closet in our main bedroom, and 2 more standard walk in closets in our other 2 bedrooms. We could not be more pleased with the results! The whole process with SBCC was excellent. We originally worked with Nadya to design everything, she was super helpful and spent a lot of time going over everything with us to get it right. The install was 2 days this week and the guys were really friendly and clearly did good work. I will also note that we forgot to let them know ahead of time that we needed a specific crown molding to match the room, but it was no problem since we had it here they put it on for us. Bruce, the owner, whom I spoke with several times during the process is a nice guy. Lastly, I will also say I felt the price for everything was very fair. I don't think that you can find their level of quality for any less. Definitely a good value. Extremely pleased with my custom closet. I bidded out this project with 2 companies. While this project was a tad bit higher in price, they made up for it in expertise and great installation crew. Nadya (designer) came over to do the measurements. She had shown me 2 options in a rendering format; which I love. She understood my needs and what is possible within the given space. The installation crew was amazing. They came at 8:30 am and left around 3:30 pm. Took great care of their walking area. Loved that they had a tarp to cover the wood stairs as they had to go up and down the stairs. They were also kind enough to help my husband put back our closet doors since I would be of no help. I can't say enough about how great South Bay Closets is. I've used them twice and wish I had more closets for them to do. They redid 3 closets that only had hanging poles and put in drawers, shelves, poles, etc., and probably quadrupled the storage space. My garage was overflowing and they put in garage cabinets and slatwall that I have excess storage I dont know what to do with. There was an empty dead space under the stairs that they transformed into a broom and storage area. Everyone was great to work with. Peggy the designer is very skilled and patient working with you and making design changes until it is just right. Lilian the scheduler kept everything on time. And I can't say enough about the installer Juan and his crew. Everything and I mean everything they did came out perfect just like the drawings. They are very professional and each job was finished on time including an amazing clean up you would never know I had all this construction going on. Best of all the price was more than reasonable.
