We talked, he shared the history of the company (30 yrs in business, I remember correctly) and reviewed what we were hoping to replace- he showed me what Shading Solutions could do- measured, twice, and we were on our way. The date he told me to anticipate our awnings should be delivered and one week before, contacted me to say we are on schedule! The awnings were delivered and we set a date for installation. The day before, Kurt Lamothe, the installer, came to look at the awnings and to check out the job site, impressive! Not waiting for 'day of ' - being proactive shows professionalism ~ so appreciated in this day! The installers show up, again, professional and friendly and EARLY! Again, I was impressed because as they're installing, Joe, my sales guy, shows up just to make sure all is going well and that I was satisfied. He even texted me after to say there is a windy storm rolling in so make sure to roll up the awnings as they were just installed. The guys picked up all the wrappings and left not one piece behind. Oh- and the price was fair, no hard sell or upsell. Will post pics later ~ but we are VERY satisfied to find a company and people who are professional and are great at their jobs! Today, it looks like the day he built it for us. If you decide to use Mr. Kusmiz to build a sun-room, you will find he is upstanding, meticulous, and scrupulously honest. He was patient and careful in everything he did. Being Marvin users, we asked him to use Marvin windows and doors, instead of the ones supplied by Four Seasons. He did that without a murmur. They hauled away the decking, and worked carefully around our existing plants. Of course, one must accept some wheelbarrow damage, but that was slight. In looking back over 13 years of fantastic pleasure we have had in this room, this addition was the wisest thing we have done. We spend winter looking at the birds eating at the feeders & at the Koi in the pond directly outside the sun-room and love to hear the snow slide off the roof like mini avalanches! This room has become the centerpiece of our home. First-time visitors exclaim delight and invariably make a bee-line for it. Old friends and neighbors, on the other hand, when they first saw it, felt it added a totally new dimension to our home.. The room is cozy in the winter and cool in the summer because we put in separate heating and cooling, instead of pulling it from our central AC/H. Do this definitely. Finally, we have to say Kirk is a gentleman, and responds graciously to the same treatment we would like to receive when dealing with others. He works at a pace which ensures the best in workmanship. He is eagle-eyed in seeing to every detail. In all the project managers we have encountered, he remains singularly at the top in all ways. We would recommend him without any hesitation.

I was almost tempted to go with a more polished company with lots of samples and flyers on hand, but I'm so glad we didn't. Frank was incredibly easy to work with - very timely, communicative, friendly, helpful, and honest. He saved us money where he could and made sure we got exactly what we were looking for. Peter (foreman) and team were very professional, speedy, tidy, and meticulous. We uncovered a rotted support beam and a roofing issue during the deck rebuild, and Frank took care of all that as well with his roofer, and took care of the additional Trex materials that were needed after we uncovered the issues and added to the project. The extra unexpected work only took about an extra week or two to resolve. The team even poured some cement for us to fill in cracked stairs while they were pouring cement to secure the deck posts. All paperwork was handled professionally through their admin contact via email, and Frank was always accessible by phone or text if we had questions.
