I had not had my eyebrows threaded in 3 months. I walked in and there was only one person on a friday afternoon. There was two people ahead of me so I walked out again in order to not rush the lady. I came back 30 mins later. I walked right up asked a questions and pointed me towards the membership section. My question was not at all related to this mind you. So as I took a seat and TRIED explaining what shape I wanted she just nodded her head as if she knew what I wanted. I walked out with uneven eyebrows and she has a heavy hand. I have high pain tolerance and thisis not the first time I get my brows threaded. She left one eyebrow shorter than the other and one thicker than the other. I was a bad experience. I do not recommend you visiting this place. Mediocre service more about the money than the customer service. Save your $$ for a better place! read more

I don't get my brows done very often, however I'm going on a mini vacation and wanted to get them done! It was 5 min before closing and the women were already shutting down their shop when I asked if they had time for one more customer. They let me in and threaded my lip and brow in record time and did a great job. If I start to get them done more often I will definitely get a membership. read more

It was my first time getting my brows threaded, so I don't have anywhere to compare it to. I came in asking if it would hurt and I was given an answer that assured me that it was very minimal and comparable to plucking. I don't have anything bad to say, other than I felt a little rushed, even though there was no one else in the store and I was not informed of what was being done shape-wise to my brows, as there was a bit of a language barrier. I sat where I was pointed to and the young woman started the threading. Luckily everything worked out and I was satisfied with my brows. Come here again? If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went there today to get my eyebrows threaded. I repeatedly said for them to only clean my eyebrows. Nunkaz was the lady doing my eyebrows and she did a horrible job. She took more off of one eyebrow then the other after I told her not to thin them out but to just clean them. Not only that but she was extremely rude. She rushed the whole time and rushed me off the chair for the next lady to get her turn. Beware!! I had not done my brows for six months when I came over here one evening. Carmen did a great job. The cost is 15$. She put a great arch in, made my brows shapely. I did not have any issue with acne or redness after my threading. Which I usually do after waxing. There's a brow guide on the wall that you can use for your consultation. The women who work there have full eyebrows as well, I prefer my brows more slim. I had no issue communicating with Carmen. If you would like a more intimate experience, Gene Juarez is right across the way, it is hard for me to get walk in appointments with G.J. I recommended pre booking your appointments at G.J. Carmen at Brow Art is a attainable alternative. If I cant get into Aurea or Vina at G.J. this worked. It is a affordable place to get your brows threaded. In the mall. If you're looking for something more then speedy hair removal, then go to Gene Juarez Btw, threading seemed to pinch the skin. I find waxing to be less painful. read more

I've used threading for years because wax just ruins my skin (no matter where I go), but the gal who usually does it has been booked, so I finally tried this place. I was scared because of some of the reviews (and I had a REALLY bad experience somewhere else before), so when I went in I was up-front and said exactly what my concerns were as far as shaping and wanting to make sure I got someone who worked quickly. They pulled Jaspreet out from the back (I think I interrupted her lunch!), and she was awesome! I was so relieved. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I've only worked with Jaspreet, so I don't know if they're all as good. I didn't feel pushed into a membership. Yesterday I went in and got my eyebrows done and the older lady asked me if I wanted to get my lip done and I told her no. She then proceeded to say "you need it". I thought that was pretty rude. My name is Azzaro - I had been for the first time with my wife to Brow Arc cart in Tacoma on Monday 17 2014 around 5.30 in the evening after my work. My wife has been coming to this particular place for over a year now and I dont know why but she always mentions her positive experience with Meera. Though my personal experience with this place was horrendous for many reasons - like close proximity of other carts and people looking into what is being done. Also the lady at the brow arc place was so rude, I've no words how to best describe how rude she was. My wife has a 3 months membership for her eyebrows and lip, but unfortunately she forgot to bring her membership card that day, and also she was hoping to see the same person called Meera - who was apparantly an amazing eyebrow threader as per my wife - Meera was not on shift either. My wife requested the lady there to look into some kind of paperwork they have while giving memberships - she bluntly and rudely refused to do so. She was so loud that I felt like tapping her mouth shut so that she should not utter another word. She would for no reason understand that we would have to drive all the way back from Lakewood to come again from a busy schedule. My wife kept on trying to make her help us, also requested to talk to the manager and see if something could work out, the lady at the brow arc would not listen at all. She was so rude to my wife that I lost my temper to ask for her name - she did not tell me her name. I insisted to know her name - but apparantely she walked away. And started texting someone or got busy with the phone and played some loud obnoxious music. I told my wife never to come back to brow arc again its a total no no for us. Somehow my wife managed to convince me to come back again this Friday 21 2014 that is today around 6 pm ( same time as before ) after work. I was not having a high hope for the person I was going to meet and the ridiculous company staff. But to my surprise the lady this time I saw and met - was surprisingly pretty nice - she had a customer before us, that customer actually let us go before them as they wanted to talk to her as well. Also the customer hugged her and I felt as if the customers were just happy seeing her. She greeted everyone with a smile - she recognised all the customers with their names and also was curious to know how they were and how their day was. I sat on her chair and was looking through the way she was dealing with all the people around. It was a happy atmosphere, I did not feel the proximity being the issue today, she also recognised my wife with her name and addressed how different she looked with the dress she wore and the hairstyle she did - I for sure noticed that smile on my wifes face ( she always wears an army uniform when she comes to the mall - and a boring tight hair tie ). Meera complimented on every small change on her - which was remarkable - as I think most woman wants to be noticed and addressed. My wife told her about her monday experience - she patiently heard everything and then just said "I'm really sorry for the bad experience that you had" - and with a smile she said - "forget all that - lets make you pretty for friday evening - that we should feel like enjoying the cold weather with have dinner with loved ones". I couldnt believe how my wife's angry and steamy mood turned into smiles and laughter where she cracked up a joke "that how men should try to get their eyebrows done at least once to feel how women do it to look beautiful for them - what pain women endures to look perfect - and how someday she would like to celebrate men's day to do eyebrows" - we felt it was funny. Here if I have to rate the company and employees on monday experience then I would say people please stay far as much as possible from brow arc - because the employees have no manners, professional attitude and definitely they do not know the meaning of customer service - negative negative points and no stars at all. People are customers and they dont deserve to be treated like trash rudeness and unnecessary attitude. But if I have to rate the company on today's experience with Meera as an employee - I would give 5 stars - one star for being polite and wanting to help and hear others first with a smile two star for helping customers vent out and then change the mood to being happy three star for not speaking bad about anyone despite us complaining four star for appreciating the customers and acknowleding them five star for being a professional in the true sense Above all the best eyebrow service given to my wife. I will strongly recommend Meera to all current and prospective customers to brow arc. Ask for Meera please. Didn't know what kind of shape to get but she ended up finding a great look for my brows and i love it. I am limited on threading options moving to Tacoma,WA. This place is over priced and the staff need some training on presentation. I am currently waiting for my eyebrows to be threaded and two employees are arguing in their native language; There about 5 other people waiting as well. The only staff that has technique and is professional is Monica. She consistently does a good job and is very humble. I will pay the extra money and only go to her. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND I used to go here every month and was okay with the service I received. It is generally inexpensive which was nice. I recently came to brow arc and got my eyebrows and lip done. My lip was fine and my eyebrows were NOT.The stylist put aloe vera on my brows and it was BURNING. I asked her if there was something wrong because it was burning and she said nothing was wrong. I looked up to see that the stylist cut me with the thread while threading and my upper eyelid was bleeding. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for two years and have never experienced bleeding. I was confused on why this happened so I asked the stylist what went wrong. She said I must have sensitive skin. I told her I did not and then she proceeded to say maybe I wasn't holding my skin tight enough. She proceeded to put all the blame on me instead of taking responsibility for her mistake. And my eyebrows were uneven!! Another stylist saw my cut and put baby powder on it which helped me stop bleeding which I am grateful for. The other stylist apologized (unlike the one who had actually made the mistake) and I paid then left. I wouldn't recommend going here because the custom service is poor and the quality of work can be poor depending on what stylist shapes your brows. read more

I have gone here before and never had an issue, but this time I have a huge scratch above my right eye. I understand that irritation can happen, but the employee did not even mention it and then used the cooling gel to clean it up. Upon closer inspection when I got home there were a few random hairs under my arch that she missed. I'm not sure if she left them because she had already made me bleed, but I am definitely a little disappointed in my experience this time. I used to come here when I lived in Tacoma 3 years ago, it was the best place I had been... Well today I went, signed in, there were 6 people on the couch waiting. The 2 girls doing eyebrows were consistently chatting in the native language.. One lady finishes up with their customer & yells "next". Doesn't say the name of whose next, we are all just looking at each other, so she yells again.. A guy who signed in after me gets up and gets his done.. I was supposed to be next... Then its my turn and the girl literally stops 3x in the middle of doing my eyebrows to continue her conversation with the eyebrow lady across the room. My eyebrows turned out way too thin, and not what I wanted. I should've know better by her terrible eyebrows she had. After she was done she attempted to sell me a pencil that she painted on my eyebrows & it looked horrendous... Maybe if they focused on what they were doing rather than talking across the room their work would turn out better. The customer service was some of the worst I've ever had. This was my go-to place only because I had no other choice once I moved to Tacoma. They always did a pretty good job. Yesterday though was the last straw. I can't come back to this place after the terrible customer service I got. Me and a friend made it to the mall around 7PM to get our eyebrows threaded. As soon as I walk up to the counter to sign us in, the lady snatches the clipboard from me and tells me they aren't taking anyone for the rest of the night. I asked at what time did they close, she said 9PM. That gave them two hours to attend all the customers ahead of me and myself. I was so upset and just stormed off. They're constantly rude, and never great you in a friendly manner. My other horrible experience was in the kiosk stand they have at the other end of the mall. I don't think I could have walked out of there with worst eyebrows than I did. She did an absolute horrible job. There was no way of fixing them. I was so upset that I couldn't even say a single word to her but how unsatisfied I was. She needs more training. I believe her name was Monica. Not sure.. They need to get their act together because at the rate they are going they will lose a lot of service and I will be sure to share my horrible experiences with other women when they ask if this place is any good. read more

WORST PLACE EVER! I bought a membership and have been there many times and get disgusting uneven eyebrows every time. The only person who is friendy and does eyebrows right here is the young white/Hispanic girl but I think she doesn't work here anymore which is why I never returned here ever again. My mom and I had our eyebrows done here. I had planned ahead and actually had a photo I showed the woman because I did not want my eyebrows too thin. I said, "I do not want my eyebrows too thin, just cleaned up." I heard my mom saying the same thing to the lady working on her eyebrows. We both walked out with super thin eyebrows, mine are so skinny they look like they were drawn on with a pencil. I would never, ever go here (and never will again) to get my eyebrows done. I have been going to brow arc since moving to WA from NYC in 2013. Each employee there does eyebrows differently and I've found some are better than others. Some have messed up my eyebrows but I found one woman who did them wonderfully until she left. Then I found another who also did my eyebrows fantastically but the last time I visited the salon about 3 weeks ago the worker who was there told me the lady I normally see no longer works there. The woman who did my eyebrows 3 weeks ago did a poor job and cut/trimmed more than I would like. My eyebrows initially looked fine in the salon ( not as great as the lady who left) but then when I returned home and removed my makeup, I found that she cut a portion of my eyebrow so that my brow looks funny. I really don't want to go back because skill level varies and I don't trust the woman I went to. I have a membership for 6 sessions but don't think I will continue to visit brow arc. read more

It hurts me to give a bad review to a place i used to swear by. Ive been buying their 3 month memberships for my brows for over a year now. Well ive always just done my brows and this last visit i went in and they checkes my id and said ok this is for forehead then? I replied no my brows...they then told me the computer showed i only paid 35 plus a 5 dollar tip for a forehead membership?! First of all who does that why on earth would i pay for a forehead threading membership? I argued that i paid 60 for a brow membership and i vome once a week every week for the same thing and i renewed oct 27 why is this suddenly come up? They asked for a recipt which after 2 months i dont have...so i walked out looked up my bank statement came back showrd them and even after seeing thia it was still an issue not that id want these ppl to come near my brows now at this point i wanted to prove a point. They have lost a faithful customer and im now in search of a new brow place i wont use the next month left of my membership beware these ppl are a holes and dont know anything about customer service read more

There's only one lady here that actually takes her time in doing your eyebrows. Most of the others are rude and go way too fast. One even caught my eyelash and top of brows weren't even cleaned. Only going to stick to the one girl with eyeglasses. read more
