A friend owned a salon near Chicago previously, so this would be my first experience with an unfamiliar wax artisan, yet having seen great reviews for Melanie, was confident. The waiting area was clean, comfortable, and inviting. Immediately greeted and quickly checked in - wonderful for a first-time guest - even more excited to find out in-state residents receive half-price their first full bikini (their term for Brazilian). By 4:15, the time of my appointment, I was notified Melanie was running a couple of minutes behind - loved the prompt notification - and by 4:17 Melanie was out greeting me. Past reviews from clients consistently offered high praise after having seen Angela for various skin and laser treatments, from laser resurfacing, facials, anti-aging, as well laser tattoo removal and laser hair removal. In line with all the kudos, Angela was wonderful and extremely informative. She carefully explained in detail the processes involved with my procedures, as well as about the realistic results to expect. Additionally, her pricing was very competitive and reasonable, making it an easy choice to choose A Beauty Laser + Skin for my desired services. While I have only completed the first of my series of necessary treatments, I can already see results in the fading of my tattoo (thin black cursive writing), as well as noticeably diminished and slower hair growth. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law were willing to accompany me to try the new salon and so we purchased the groupons and scheduled our appointment. When we arrived, we were greeted nicely. The salon had a couple of artists, one whom I believed to be the owner. She was pleasant, welcoming, and friendly to us all. She enjoyed chatting, especially since we had our culture and background in common, which was a nice personal touch. Mamta, the owner, threaded my mother-in-laws eyebrows, while myself and my sister-in-law were threaded by the other artist. All of our eyebrows turned out the way we wanted, as both artists were willing to listen to our direction. Mamta added another special touch by showing my mother-in-law one of her eyebrows to ensure that she liked it before matching the other one. The prices were reasonable at the salon, even without the groupon. We will definitely return and I feel like I have a new threading salon at EK Threading! :)
