Based on previous reviews, I decided to try this place. Everyone was friendly and efficient. I was very happy with the service I received and will be back the next time I'm in town. The plaza that this business is located in, is a little tricky to get to, especially if you make a wrong turn, in the middle of rush hour (it's in a busy area). I've been going to this eyebrow Threading salon for over 10 years. My go to specialist is Sara. I used to live in Anaheim but I moved 2 years ago to San Jacinto, since I moved I now drive almost 2 hours just to come see Sara once a month . She does an amazing job that I don't let anyone else do my eyebrows and my mini facials. I refused to go to another threading salon near my home because this place is just the best, the ladies there are all really nice, they treat you really well and they do an amazing job. read more

If I could give this place a -20 I would have done so. I used to go here often, and I used to go to Gita, The receptionist here is an Indian girl who cannot get any more rude.. I refuse to go here due to their HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.. They have made my appointments during wrong times multiple times and when confronted about it, the receptionist either hangs up the phone or bitches at me in front of other clients. DO NOT GO HERE.. In addition to the customer service issue, the only person at this shop who knows how to do eyebrows is Gita.. the rest of the people that work there are not good at all.. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for almost 10 years. Once I started, there was just no way I was going to go back to plucking or waxing. I started going to Ziba in Artesia and when they opened another location in Santa Ana right next to South Coast Plaza, I started going there when I was in the area. However, there have been drawbacks to remaining loyal to the Ziba brand. Neither location is exactly close to my house (at least a half hour drive) and over the years the prices have continued to climb. Also, there have been rumors of Ziba's unfair treatment of workers in regards to benefits and wages... All of this has sort of bothered me and I've been hoping a salon would open up closer to home unaffiliated with them. Enter Brow Mantra. The salon is definitely closer for me and they're right off the freeway, open till 7 p.m., and the prices are lower than anywhere else I've checked out. And their service? Exceptional. When I was getting my brows done, the stylist Teri made me check the mirror periodically to approve of her work. I found that refreshing since that meant I wouldn't have any surprises like super-arched or too skinny eyebrows once she was done. After she finished threading, she gave me a massage on my lids and brows using aloe vera to help combat the slight redness of the skin that is inevitable when you have threading done. It was a bit surprising but quite pleasant additional service. They're doing a good job as far as advertising- they're in the community guide and also have a website which offers promotional coupons. I printed one out and took it along with me and saved an extra $2 off the already low price. I really hope they'll do well because it'd be awesome to have a salon nearby and with so many businesses closing lately, I'd hate to see them be apart of that. If you're close, this is such a great salon to stop by and get some grooming done (They offer a full range of services which include waxing, facials, make-up, and henna as well). Brow Mantra is the only place I will go to. I have been going to brow mantra for over two years now and will never take my chances of going to another place to get all my threading done. After a few years of waxing my eyebrows, they grew very thin. I thought it was the end of "nicely shaped" eyebrows for me until I made a random visit after hearing from friends that I should try "threading" instead of "waxing". I went in and was introduced to Gita, who is now the only person I trust my eyebrows with. She looked at my eyebrows for a couple minutes, observing the hair growth direction, where my arch began and asked a couple questions. I told her my disappoint in my eyebrows from getting them waxed and she believed that it can still be saved. She gave me instructions on how to maintain my eyebrows, why she was not "threading" some areas, and long after, my eyebrows were actually getting fuller! the process took about 6 months but it was worth it. I enjoy going to brow mantra. Everyone is so nice and since I have been going there for this long, its like visiting a friend instead of running an errand. Their prices are affordable, their services are wonderful, and they really do a great job. I am getting married in less then a year and I will definitely send all my bridesmaids to brow mantra for some "threading". Let me start by saying that this is was the first time I've gotten a full leg + bikini wax, so I don't know how it is usually done. My first impression of the waxing room was already not great because the skirt-thing Terry wanted me to change into was old and looked dirty. I also don't understand the point of the bikini liner because it moved around and didn't provide any privacy anyway. For a full leg wax, the sanitary paper that they put down is useless because you just stick to it and it gets all ripped up as you move, which seems to defeat the purpose. Also, there was a really sensitive spot that she ripped off at least six times all at once and really fast in the exact same place. I would have much preferred that she take more time to press the paper down on the wax and rip it off on just one or two tries. Finally, I couldn't take the repeated pain anymore, so I told her that that was enough. But then she did it again! In total, I paid $50 for the full leg and bikini, which I know is cheaper that some places, so maybe I got what I paid for. But I will not be going back there again. read more

I was in complete need of getting my eye brows done, and I am not a fan fan of waxing. I didn't have the time to drive to Ziba and the new place I found near my house wasn't yet open. I hopped in my car and had Yelp led me here. I must say, she did an awesome job. PAINLESS and price is much more decent than Ziba at $9 for eyebrows. I'm all about a great job at a great price, and this definitely is the place. They even massage your eyebrows when you are done. Gita was amazing! She was very precise and made sure she got every little hair that was out of place. Place is right off the freeway so if you are not familiar with it, you can easily pass it (I did :)) Only grumble was the wait. No one was ahead of me on the list and I had to wait just over 30 minutes. Gita was the only one there and all we were told was the second girl was coming in soon (not sure if soon was an hour or 10 minutes) Apparently its best to make an appointment than be a walk in. I am a fan and frequenter of ZIBA but how can I go back when Brow Mantra is right here in Fullerton off of the 91? How can I go back to ZIBA's when all I have to pay here at Brow Mantra is $9 and not $12? I appreciate the attention to detail to my eyebrows. Makes my life easier. I am a low maintenance kind of girl when it comes to my face and the less time I have to spend on plucking or whatever god awful things we have to do the better! My brows grow out so awesome and the best part of it is watching the lady who owns the joint keep her workers in check... she inspects their brow work on a constant basis. I have yet to find someone that can make my eyebrows look right instead of skewed. :( I got my underarms waxed, and noticed she left the door cracked open (on mistake) so anyone walking by can see, afterwards they burned for about 2 days which means she kinda ripped off a layer of my skin. A year or two ago I was new to the area, and looking for a place to get my eyebrows done. Based on the yelp reviews, Brow Mantra seemed like a good choice. When I came, the place was really busy, which I took to be a good sign. The overall threading experience was fine, nothing memorable. They did a decent job and it was cheap. When it came time to paying I paid with my credit card, and added a 20% tip. I gave it back to the girl ringing me up and she asked if I was "sure", implying that it wasn't enough. My initial reaction was confusion. Was she suggesting that I calculated something wrong? I took a look, and no, it was calculated correctly at 20%. There were two things wrong with this situation. One, she said it in front of everyone, so that was embarrassing. Two, she had the audacity to ask if that was what I wanted to tip, as if she had the right to do so. Who does that?? I can tip however much I want. It's a tip for a reason. I left embarrassed and angry, never to return again. read more

Gita took the time to explain to me what she was doing & why she was leaving some hair in spots that would seem like they needed to be removed. I never really request anyone but after getting Gita on a whim, I will definitely request her every time. She is quick and accurate. She asked if I had plucked too thin before but that had been caused by my previous visit described before. I loved how I didn't even have to instruct Gita or correct her. I had perfect eyebrows in under 10 mins. Try to request her or find someone you like because one time I got a lady who left me with a bad experience. She might have been new but I really disliked how hard she pushed on my temples. I left the place with a huge headache for the rest of the day. read more

In hopes of taming the caterpillars perched atop my eyes, I searched for a good, clean and reputable eyebrow threading salon for a few days, finally settling on Brow Mantra because of the reviews. I am so happy I went there because the service is exceptional, the place is clean and tidy and the massage is awesome. I forgot who threaded my eyebrows but she knew right away it was my first time (ha..ha) and explained to me exactly what she would be doing. She took her time which was comforting because speediness is not an attribute I value in an eyebrow threading session. After the threading, you get this bomb forehead-ish massage that feels totally bizarre at first but then you revel in it and perhaps, (like me) fall asleep. Jeena you are an eyebrow god and a waxing queen 30$ brazilian wax ( or you can get a strip or patch of hair for that price too) she is really patient in helping you pick out a "waxingstyle." It was my first time ever and I decided after going back and forth to the mirror to do a short strip of hair. :) SO happy with it 9$ brow Perfect everytime, and yes the longer you wait the more it hurts... I like to wait 10 days sometimes for my brows so she can reshape them. There is also a nail lady. Appointments help during peak hours (Thurs -Sat ) but are not necessary. I love this place. I tried this place after seeing it a million times near my house, it's next door to Verizon Wireless. I have never tried threading before for my eyebrows and this was my first time and first place. I have been going here for a while and have gone through all the gals at the shop and my favorite is Mary and Jeena. I have not seen Mary lately but I like Jeena a lot more and have been going to her regularly. She really takes her time in making sure your eyebrows are done well and she is incredibly sweet. I never feel rushed. I do call to make my appointments but they take walk ins and it does not take long to get them done or to wait for the next available person. This is a very clean and beautiful establishment. They have beautiful Indian decor and music going on. There is always a receptionists and she is always so very nice to everyone. p.s. Ask for a "frequent visitor card." You'll get a free service after so many vists. read more

For the last 8 ish years Ive been getting my eyebrows waxed at a salon up the street but lately they've been coming out uneven. I drive by this place every day an I decided based on the yelp reviews to give it a shot. I have never been threaded before so it was an entirely new experience. The salon was nice looking, the receptionist was friendly and I was helped right away. Nisha(?) didnt talk to me at all about the process and just started right away but I'm not much of a social person anyway. The threading was quick and to me hurt less than waxing or tweezing. I am very happy with how my brows turned out and will definitely be back. Also about the parking. If you are coming down Harbor heading towards the 91 turn at the light at the corner by the Pep Boys and drive through the Pep Boys parking lot to the salon. The light after that one that looks like it would take you right to the salon parking is no left turn and no u-turns. read more

I have been meaning to try threading for a while, and after scouring Yelp and debating for weeks between Brow Mantra and another salon (that's ultimately further away from me), I finally decided to just bite the bullet and get my eyebrows done. Walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and received a friendly greeting. There were a couple of people there already, and one girl walked in right after me. I was seen right away by a woman who's name I forget, but I hope that when I go again she's there and I recognize her face because she did a good job. The whole process was painless (for those who have never gotten threaded before, it feels like you're getting lightly pricked over and over again) and I actually thought it felt kind of good. Go figure. I didn't want much done to my brows - I like my natural shape and just wanted to clean it up a bit. I was VERY specific/insistant that I didn't want much taken off, that I wanted to keep my shape, that I didn't want a weird/unnatural arch. She got it. And she did it. She did it very well. She took off some forehead hairs that I didn't even know I had. She also cleaned up the top of my brows (while keeping the natural shape), which I didn't even realize I needed. The whole process was fast - she was definitely a pro. When she was done with the first one she let me check to make sure I was OK with it before starting the next one. Afterward I got a mini brow rub, complete with some weird gel. It felt good! She wasn't the most communicative woman, which made me a little nervous at first, but based off the end result I am a BIG fan. Bottom line is, whether or not she said many words, she LISTENED to exactly what I wanted and that is exactly what I got. I was SO happy! I still am! Every time I see a reflection of myself I am happy with the results of my eyebrows. Yayyyyyy. I definitely recommend Brow Mantra. They gave me a stamp card as I was leaving. Very good experience from beginning to end. Oh and for my amazing experience I paid $11 ($9 + $2 tip). Worth it! read more

After much internal debate, I give Brow Mantra in Fullerton, CA 3.5 stars. For Yelp purposes, rather than rounding up I am keeping it at a solid 3. I've been coming here for at least 4 years now and after trying multiple threading salons in Cerritos, San Marcos, and Fullerton, I keep coming back here to get my eyebrows threaded. Why? Myriad reasons: location in proximity to me, loyalty card, cleanliness of store. Do note that they get rather busy during peak hours, which seem to be morning to early afternoon), so anticipate minimal to just under an hour waiting time at the worst. For eyebrow threading, I have never requested someone by name and it has not failed me terribly yet. They do though, without fail, consistently comment on my sparse eyebrows. Sorry not sorry I am not Indian and do not have a full set of brows! So my ego is hurt for about 1 millisecond, I get over it, get my brows threaded, and receive stamps on my loyalty card. Same goes for lip threading. Wee bit more painful compared to brow threading, but I usually tack it on. For the loyalty card, 5 brow threading trips equate to 1 free lip threading, and 10 brow threading trips equate to 1 free brow threading! Recently, I experienced their Brazilian as a walk-in. They did not oblige, were accommodating, and I did not have to wait at all. No complaints about the waxing job itself. While the lady knew what she was doing and was friendly, I do admit it was not the most spectacular waxing experience I have had. It is hard to put my finger on it, but I guess it comes down to level of comfort and putting the customer completely at ease, and something - just something - was missing. read more

I came here because I wanted to get a brazilian wax for a while (another thing crossed off my bucket list!). I was attended promptly by Jeena. She was very attentive and courteous. I loved that she asked me if the wax was too hot and if it was my first time. Jeena was very quick and efficient with the removal process. She talked me through it and told me it usually hurts the most the first time (holy crap did it hurt!), but with continued visits, it should diminish. I also got my eyebrows done by her, and she did a marvelous job on them because she just took off all the hair around and didn't leave my eyebrows too exotic looking. Prince- he takes a little long but does a good job. Gina- is my regular, she's thorough and fast. I don't remember the rest but I've tried about 3 more. There are TWO receptionists...the older one is rude, doesn't say hello, thank you, and messed up my appointment. The younger one is very professional, friendly, and helpful. I don't even live around here but I come here every time I'm in town for my parents. Even when I lived 30 minutes south of Fullerton for a job, I waited till I went to see my parents so I could stop by at Brow Mantra. Let me tell you. These ladies know what they are doing. $9 for eyebrow threading. My all time favorite is Jeena. She's super nice and doesn't rush you. She also advises you on what type of eyebrow will fit your face and she's always right. I used to want my eye brows rounded because I thought it looked cuter and arched eyebrows are for a more fierce look. But he suggested a soft arch, which I decided to try and never looked back since. If I can help it, I always book Jeena. Gita is a favorite of everyone it seems like, and while she's good, I felt like she didn't have as much delicacy as Jeena. It could have been my fault though since I was late to my appointment, so she had to get mine done and get me out. Anyways, I live in SF now and I've been trying to find a place as good as Brow Mantra, but it doesn't exist. I LOVE THIS PLACE! This is the only place I trust to touch my eyebrows. I've had my eyebrows done by Gita and Jeena. I love them both! I like how if you want your eyebrows a certain way, but they know it won't look good on you, they tell you. OK look at my before and after photos. Im a girl with a low tolerance of pain and not enough time or patience to pluck my eyebrows. Yes the before photo is about 3 months worth. This was my first time with threating and let me tell you ive been spoiled and dont know if I can ever do my own again. Yes it hurt a little bit but much less than pulling out one hair at a time. I found $9 to be a little steep esp since I tipped a $5 but great experience with Dashan. I think ill be back when I need to treat myself maybe just once a month though. read more
