Although Tahira seemed busy with clients she made time to fit me in as a new client with no appointment time. Thankfully most of her clients ahead of me took less than 10 minutes. I have very thick brows and have not had them attended to in quite a few years. I've just let my barber use clippers to trim them. Unfortunately that has led them to be very thick and too big. She had her work cut out for her!! Her prices are very reasonably. She's very kind and polite. And her salon was well kept and clean. She takes cash or phone payments. The Yelp page stated the business was open until 9 PM and accepted walk-ins, but when I arrived, nobody was there. After calling, I was told she was unavailable for the day and could only book me for another time. Very unprofessional and misleading. She is very sweet! I didn't have an appointment. I called the day of, to see if she could squeeze me in as a walk-in. And she told me that she could squeeze me in if I could be there right away and before her next client. I said sure and jumped in the car! Got there as fast as I could and called the number to let her know I'd arrived. The front door to the facility is locked. I was able to sneak in when someone else was let inside. Cool deal. Then I wandered around until I found unit #2, which is to the right when you first walk in. I went left initially and was lost lol So, go to the right. That's where Eyebrows & More by Tahira is located. I waited a couple minutes until she finished with her client, and then it was my turn. This was my first time trying henna anything. I wanted to try the henna eyebrows. She explained the process and was very sweet. She informed me that she uses a non-toxic formula that isn't like what other henna artists use. So, it would only last one week. And there was only one color available. Okay, cool not a problem. She put the henna on my eyebrows and asked me to leave it 2-3 hours minimum. I did that and the result was a brownish orange color. It didn't match my skin tone, but I could see how this would be great for someone who doesn't want to fill in their brows everyday with makeup. It was a fun experience, and she was very sweet squeezing me in. I appreciate her so much. I will probably give henna brows a try again sometime! :) read more

I love Tahira! She's very sweet, easy to book with, her salon is calm and welcoming, and her work is amazing. The first time I went was totally on a whim because I was planning a day of shopping for my birthday and was going to be in the area & I wanted henna done last minute (literally booked 3-4 hrs before service because travel time). Not only did I love the henna but I loved my eyebrows. I hadn't had anyone but one other person touch my eyebrows in the 9 years I've been living in LA and while both were amazing; you cannot BEAT Tahira. Not by price nor service. I drive from the South Bay (~2 hrs round trip) for a 10-15 minute service and will continue to do so. We are on the path to making my eyebrows more even and full. I just started with her brow & lash serum (which has the ingredients listed so you know exactly what you are putting in those sensitive areas & all natural!). I am super picky with my brows originally from Denver, Co and traveling back and forth for them I finally decided to find someone close to my new home. I've had terrible experiences in the past that made me unwilling to try/trust anyone anymore. I was over it and went searching here on yelp. She is located in a sola salons. If you are new to the salon, It's a building full of studios for individual businesses. You will need to call to be buzzed in the front door for your appointment. Her sliding door is the second door to the right once you walk in. My first appointment Tahira took the time to go over my goals for my brows and told me what I needed to do to achieve them. I decided I want mine even and go from there if I want to thin them out. She didn't thread much, which left me very unsure when I left. I decided I would try going to her at least a few more times to see if it would be worth staying. Sure did offer to color them in which I did remove once I went to my car because it was too much for me. 2nd appointment I was soooo tempted to pull out my tweezers it was driving me crazy but I continued to trust the process Today: I love my brows and I'm continuing to trust the process. I do realize my hair grows very fast compared to most so this might take longer for you. She does offer/ sell a serum and makeup. Quick note about the location - it's a large place that has mini suites when you enter. But before you enter, there's a note on the locked, front door saying you need an appt to enter. So you need to contact your person to let you in. But Tahira - right off the bat, I could tell she's a pro. She starts off by asking about what I want, what I want from my brows, what I usually do with them. And then from there, suggests what to do to go towards what I want. I really appreciated that. The way she left my brows weren't perfect, BUT she explains why. Depending on hair growth and even shows you the unevenness. Tahira is quite literally THE best person I've been to when it comes to my brows. I've struggled with finding someone who will listen to my needs and not overthread and leave me miserable. Tahira really takes her time to shape your brows and thread them. She measures them out each time (which I've never seen done before), and has such a light hand that I can barely feel it when she threads.
