I have been a lifelong eyebrow threading customer and because of my constant travels, I have…read moreliterally tried dozens of eyebrow threaders to know that they are divided into 3 main categories: (1) amazing ones who deliver consistently good service. These threaders could be fast or slow but they are very good at what they do. The shape always ends up being as good as you could have imagined or even better and they don't tear out your skin to get you the results. 2) are those threaders who appear to know what they are doing and may even do a painless job but the shape leaves you wanting more. They just do a good cleanup but in no way do they try to reshape the brows to achieve the "wow" factor. And finally 3) those are the ones you never ever want to see again. They not only mess up your brows but do so while either causing you pain and/or tearing your skin in the process. I have encountered very few people who fit into #1 and thanks to yelp have also been able to avoid a lot of encounters with #3's as well. Paru I would say falls into the middle of 1 and 2. She is very fast and she does a very painless job. For most of the time, she does deliver a good shape but from others I have tried, I know that the "wow" factor is not always there. I have left with a few pieces of hair that I notice afterwards and that's primarily because of the super fast job she is able to do. So why the 5*'s? In San Antonio, she had so far been my best choice. She is incredibly fast. She has never made me bleed or caused pain. For the most part she did try to work on the shape during the session and she is quite accommodating. If you've never tried threading before, she is definitely a good choice to start with.

I…read morestarted following them on Instagram and once appointments were open, I was able to get scheduled with Sophia in no time. I received many reminder emails about my upcoming appointment so that was a plus! Upon checking in, the receptionist was friendly and had me fill out some intake paperwork. Once Sophia was ready, I was brought in to her area. She was very down to earth and told me about the entire lash process as I was a newbie. The process is timely but I was very comfortable on the lash table which is huge because I've been on some of the other tables that weren't so comfy. Sophia washed my eyelashes first before applying the new lashes. After the wash, they were dried. She then taped down my bottom lashes and got to work. Eyes stay closed during application. There will be brushing of the lashes during the process and maybe an occasional open your eyes here and there. After an hour to hour and a half later, voila!!! Lashes are fuller and thicker and look amazing. I unfortunately don't get them done often enough to remember that I have lashes. So the next day I was guilty of accidentally doing the morning wake up eye rub and caught myself mid rub!!! I was so upset with myself, oh well there went 5-7 lashes. I had to constantly remind myself that they were there because it is very easy to forget. You can't even feel a difference. I was given an eyelash brush and a card with care instructions on it for when I got home. I made my second appointment for 2 weeks later for a refill and the process was the same. Prices were very reasonable and it seems like they always have some kind of special going on so it's hard to pay full price! Personally I don't see myself keeping this up but I can definitely see myself getting them done for special occasions. And when I do, I will definitely be hitting up Sophia for an appointment!!!
