Lincoln Town Car SUV was immaculate and driver was friendly and on time for the hotel to JFK transfer. There was a hiccup in the original credit card billing but it was quickly resolved. I have used Broward for years and have always been very pleased but after my most recent experience I will never use them again. When I called because of the exorbitant charge that appeared on my credit card I was told it was because the driver had to wait for me for three hours. What should have been a charge of about $125 was $237. My flight into MacArthur Airport was delayed several hours. I was in constant contact with the driver with updates but he decided, because his previous trip left him near the airport and he lived in Floral Park he would not go home but he would wait. I was charged his wait time, and then taxes and a gratuity on the wait time. After a very heated discussed they agreed to take off the charge for the wait time, taxes and gratuity but threatened not to pick me up that afternoon for my return to MacArthur. When I reminded them of the power of social media they agreed to pick me up and take me back to MacArthur. In all they years I have used Broward they have never been late, in fact they have always been early except for my last trip to the airport. They were supposed to pick me up at 2:45PM and at 3:00PM when I called I was told he was on his way. They said it had nothing to do with my conversation with them earlier in the day but it was just too much of a coincidence for me. At this point I told them to cancel the pick-up. Luckily I was able to get another ride and got their in plenty of time to make my flight. read more

Do NOT trust this car service. I confirmed they would pick me and my kids up from LaGuardia with two car seats TWICE today. They did not bring car seats. The only resolution they offered was suggesting I put my 3 and 5 year olds in their car without seats. I'm currently stranded at the airport with two kids under five at midnight with no way to get home. And Holly from the car service didn't apologize once and basically said it's my fault bec my flight was delayed... even though I gave them my flight number to track it and would car seats magically appear if the flight wasn't delayed? Also, they were 30 minutes late picking us up to take us to the airport last week, which I would have left alone but since I'm writing a review anyway, I might as well mention that part too. read more

I hired Broward to take my group from Newark, NJ to the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island for a Ducks vs NYI hockey game. Almost every thing about the experience deserved a 5 star, but I'll explain why its going to be a 4 star. The day before, I get a call from Chick reconfirming my group. Everything was prepaid prior to my departure to Newark, which included the driver's tip. I was good to go. The bus was scheduled to take us to Long Island at 9:30 for an 11:00 am arrival. Abe arrived early at 9:00 which was very impressive. My group was on the bus, and we left the hotel about 9:20 am. Abe was a very friendly guy, but he did smoke while driving. There is a big gap between the driver's front side and the first seat, and every so often you can smell smoke. No one said anything so I did not make any comments, and this is not why I deducted 1 star. We got to the arena on time, and Abe and I swapped mobile numbers so he could contact me after the game ended. The game let out at 3:45 but a few members needed to use the toilets, so we didn't leave the arena until 4:00. I had the bus until 5:30 pm, so leaving at 4:00 was perfect. Three of the passengers wanted to be dropped off in the City, so I told Abe if he had time to do it. If traffic was poor, then head directly to the hotel. At 5:00 he pulled over to let the passengers out, but he, himself left the bus. I thought he went to use the toilet or something (never did find out why) but he disappeared for 15 minutes... maybe longer. Needless to say, I was panicking when 5:30 came, and we were not at the hotel yet. In past experiences, I was dinged and had to pay extra when the bus driver didn't make it back within the time limit. However when we pulled up to the hotel at 6:00, he shook my hand, and said everything was fine. The company deserves 5 stars, and so does Abe, but the fact he left us unattended has me taking 1 star away from an almost perfect review. read more

A clean, new bus with a friendly, experienced driver (Rene) who was dressed to perfection. Not only was he there on time but did more then expected. The bus was late #1. Driver was outsourced from a different company. Driver was clueless to whether or not the second bus was supposed to show. Second bus never showed for pickup, but luckily we were able to squeeze everyone on the first bus to make It to the wedding ceremony on time. Weddings are stressful enough, buses should never be late or not know where the second bus should be. Customer service just gave the usual run around when it came to the complaint and never owned up to it. I do not recommend this company!!! read more

Hired for a special night for our father's birthday. 8 hours from Long Island into the city with very few stops. Was told the vehicle fit 10 people. We managed 9 people - very, very snuggly. Had to have one person sit up with the driver. Also, no one could connect the bluetooth to get the music going through the speakers. We are all pretty tech-savvy and can figure out how to connect our phones (for Pandora or Spotify) to a new system but was not working at all. Our driver could not be less interested and offered zero help. In fact he even gave a snarky answer to it all when he told us that the teenagers he serviced had no problems with it. Well, thank you for that. So we spent the entire ride in the city consumed with trying to get music going. Temperature control was not the greatest either. Driver acted as if he wanted to be anyplace else but where he was - no personality and offered no assistance throughout. On Friday May 20th I was flying back from Pittsburgh and was scheduled to land at LaGuardia at 4:19PM. I had made a reservation with Broward to be picked up to take me home. A severe storm came through the New York area that afternoon creating absolute havoc as the three airports were temporarily closed. My flight was now scheduled to take off an hour late and I contacted Broward who was monitoring the flight and told them about the revised departure so they could adjust the pick up time. We took off and during the flight to LaGuardia the storms fired up again and all airports were closed again and we were diverted to Boston where we landed and waited almost 1.5 hours. The Broward team stepped up and did everything to make sure there was a car at LGA to pick me up, even though I was over 4 hours late on a Friday night. Joe, the Broward driver, texted me to confirm he was there and when I left the plane I called him and he was waiting for me exactly at the spot we discussed which was such a blessing after such a horrific trip. The driving service itself was fine- showed up on time, quickly in and out of JFK. Unfortunately, their office service and pricing is ridiculous. Apparently only ONE person at the company is capable of emailing a receipt (the driver doesnt provide one), and that one person, while very nice, only works a few days a week until 3pm, something noboby bothered to mention when telling me I needed to call back. It took 4 tries. Also, they didnt bill my card until a week after the ride, which messed up my expenses. Final straw- 132.00 from JFK to Long Beach, which is absolutely ridiculous. I hired Broward for my daughters 13th birthday party, specifically requesting a car where I could sit up front so the girls could enjoy their time alone in the back. Apparently the driver, Butch, was not informed of this because when the car arrived there was a ton of junk in the passenger seat that needed to be removed and he told me he never had a front seat passenger before. Next the girls tried to get the sound system going, it was not working and the driver said he had no idea how it works and could not help them. Next, the air conditioner did not work. The driver told me he has no idea why and that it had been working all day. It was very warm! The girls in the back continually asked when the music would start working and why it was so hot. VERY DISAPPOINTING! Through my convincing, the driver pulled over and went to the back to go see if he could help them with sound. He got it going in a short period of time and though I was glad, I couldn't imagine why he did not do that from the onset. It soon became apparent that it was a faulty system as the music continually faded in and out. I now see in these reviews that I am not the first to have issues with the sound system and the air conditioning. The next series of events is quite perplexing to me. As I am getting out of the car the front passenger door somehow closes on my finger, fully engaged. When I opened the door and removed my finger, it was gushing blood all over the sidewalk. Obviously my daughter and the other girls were upset and trying to help. When the driver became aware of the situation he handed me a napkin and then asked if I would come take a look at the mess in the back??? As I continued to gush blood (from what I now know is a fractured finger), I took a look. It was nothing but, paper goods and party favors...no spills, no food, nothing that would take more than a minute to put in a garbage bag. This was the first leg of our trip, there would be plenty of time to attend to that...so tactless and distasteful, and disrespectful! Regardless, at the end of the night, I gave the driver a generous tip. The next morning I went to urgent care where I learned two things...the nature of this accident is a no-fault insurance claim, and that my finger was fractured. When I got home I informed my insurance company and started the claim process, through MY insurance company. Later I received a phone call from Allstate informing me that in NY state it is the owner of the vehicle whose insurance company is responsible and they needed to contact them. Allstate spoke to the owner Bob and then called me back to inform me that he was rude and clearly not happy. Outrageous! If that's the law it's the law...all I did was go to urgent care for a fractured finger and this is how the events unfolded beyond my control. I say this because I had a tentative second reservation for my son next weekend. They started giving me the run around and not returning my phone calls. When they finally did this morning, Chick, who I made all of my reservations with, told me there were now no vehicles available that night. I know this is not true because when I spoke to the owner yesterday(before he spoke to Allstate) there were several available and when I spoke to a different employee last night, she was surprised to not see me in the book, put me in and told me they would get back to me to confirm. Apparently THEY are upset and refuse to do business with ME!? What a joke. A BUNCH OF UNPROFESSIONAL, IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNCOMPASSIONATE LIARS! read more

Was an hour late picking up groomsmen from hotel which delayed the start of our ceremony .. not to mention driver was across the street eating a sandwich while groomsmen were waiting and calling him for his eta. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS COMPANY! Especially if you're getting married!!! The only vendor I had an issue with on our big day was Broward Limo, Island Park, NY! A year and a half ago I met with the "office manager" while the owner, Bob also contributed to the booking. We gave our deposit in good faith and hearing their name around our town. (We live in Oceanside. Broward Limo is located in Island Park, between our house and the wedding venue/reception!) A few months later, we paid the bill in full with all cash, since they seemed true. Even the tip, which I would have never given! The day of the wedding Broward was everything opposite of reliable and legit. I personally spoke with the "office manager" the week before the wedding, confirming the times that they had suggested for both the limo for bride/groom/bridal party, as well as the hotel shuttle bus for guests. A few days later, a female office worked called again to verify the times before the big day. They all agreed upon the set times, even when I asked if they were sure there was enough time, should I change them, etc. Their central location between the Hampton Inn (Rockville Centre) for the shuttle and Long Beach/Island Park for the church and reception hall, Bridgeview Yacht Club, allows them to be extremely familiar with the traffic routes taken. I printed all shuttle information and gave to the hotel according to their advice and approvals. Of course the day came and they were late. As other people mentioned in reviews (wish I had seen them before!), they tried to turn the blame on my husband & I. They verified all times and yet tried to tell us we set our times too tight. My husband was called at 2pm to change the time to earlier, when he was being picked up at 2:45. He said to stick with what the bride set up, since he was not the contact person. They never called me or my dad, the actual contact person for the day. Bob stated that Billy was late, which was a 10 minute difference due to the photographer being rushed by the limos. This lateness was the least of my limo concerns, compared to the shuttle mess. Our limo driver for the Escalade carrying the bride/groom was the most pleasant part of the experience. Regardless of the tardiness, he was nice and helpful, waiting for my parents as the limo was full and we needed the shuttle to return for them. Upon being picked up at 4pm from my house, which was the start time of my mass, I arrived behind the church approximately 20 minutes late. I then proceeded to have to sit in the limo until 4:40pm for the hotel shuttle to arrive with half of my out -of -town guests. That shuttle was supposed to have arrived at 3:45 pm. They took an hour and a half between shuttle runs, which should've taken a half hour on a typical day. I do the commute daily. As a result, I was 45 minutes late down the aisle thanks to Broward limo! The music lady had another commitment to get to, the guests were uncomfortable, and my pictures were shortened. Again, due to Broward Limo's lack of professionalism, I was unable to get family pictures as planned, missed my whole cocktail hour, and rushed my photographers into the reception. As if this all wasn't bad enough, the return shuttles were also screwed up. The 11pm shuttle from the reception to the hotel did not leave on time. When I originally booked the company, I requested a car seat in the shuttle. On the way to the church, there was not one for my flowergirl. The driver still took her. At 11pm, he refused to let her and her grandparents on the shuttle, starting a fight in front of other guests with her grandfather, as he left for the shop to get a car seat, setting back the return shuttle. The worst part of it all- On the final shuttle of the night, he did not pull into the hotel and forced a disabled individual walk up approximately 20 steps with her cane and assistance from other guests. The driver offered no assistance himself. The shuttles had made the turn earlier in the day and there was no legit reason he could not make it at night, or at least drop at an easier walking location. On the day of the Wedding, the parents of the bride were treated horribly by the office manager when the questioned the location of the vehicles. The mother of the bride was yelled at by the office manager. The father of the bride had been in contact with Bob, the owner, who said to have the bride, myself, call upon honeymoon return. When I called, he was so rude and defensive towards me. He told me I was "making accusations" when I was giving a first hand account. He said his driver would not do anything of the sort in regards to the disabled individual having to walk up stairs, etc. He tried telling me it was the groom's fault for the 10 minutes late in his limo, which would have no impact on a hotel shuttle!!! He offered no apologies to myself, of course killing my husband with kindness once I hung up on him. He's definitely a chauvinist and offered nothing in return! read more

My best friend hired this company for his wedding on November 3rd. Two buses were scheduled to pick up the wedding guests at a local bar (a 45 passenger and a 55 passenger) and take them to the wedding. However, only ONE bus showed up and all the guests were forced to cram onto it to take them to the venue. Apparently, one bus "couldn't fit on the block" so he parked around the corner. Since he couldn't get down the block, he didn't know where everyone was/couldn't see any guests and just left. When asked why the two drivers didn't communicate, the first driver said that they actually DID speak and that he thought the other driver was a guest...What? This cost $4,000! My friend ended up having to pay for BOTH buses, even though only one showed up and all the guests were forced to squeeze in. The owner is now claiming that its not his fault and it doesn't matter because all of the guests "fit" on the one bus. My son was married recently, and the ONLY vendor we had any issue with was Broward Limousine. They were contracted to take guests from the hotel in Rockville Center to and from the Woodmere Club (a trip of about 15 minutes). The driver got lost and ended up arriving at the club less than 5 minutes before the ceremony. When we spoke to the owner Robert McDonald two days later, he denied that the driver got lost, saying that he "missed the turn a few times." In fact, Mr. McDonald refused to admit that his company had done anything wrong. A simple "I am sorry" would have made us feel a lot better, but it was not forthcoming. I use them every time I am either going to the airport or coming home...4 or 5 years ago my daughter came in from LA during a horrible snow storm here, Broward waited the 4 hours she was stuck on the tarmac and drove her home even though none of the roads had been plowed!!! I told Bob, the owner, my concerns in regards to the type of vehicle we needed and the times that we both agreed upon for pickup. Bob came through with flying colors. We had a 50th Birthday on Friday at the Coral House and had Broward pick us up and bring us home. The limo was a 10 person stretch and he was right on time going and coming! After leaving the Coral house, we had many gifts to bring home with us and we were able to fit everything in the limo and we got home safely. Well the next morning, there was a knock on the door and it was the limo driver from the night before...well one of the gift cards must have fallen out in the limo and the driver was nice enough to bring it us the next morning. The gift card was for $250.00 and we would have had no way to know we had dropped this, so I really want to say what a wonderful person the driver was and what a wonderful company Broward is!! I called them to tell them how wonderful this was, rarely do people do the right thing in this world and this driver did, he renewed my faith in human kindness.... read more

So here's the thing. I know I'm a difficult client. I expect the same level of professional detail I provide in my business from other businesses. I am usually disappointed. Broward exceeded my expectations. A Saturday night excursion into Manhattan during the Christmas holiday is always a challenge. Yet Broward, and our driver Bob especially, pulled it off without a hitch. Amazing communication, and I think we had to wait about 3 minutes from calling and saying we were ready to be picked up from destination #1 and then for some sightseeing stops. It was flawless. The limo was spotless, Bob was professional in every aspect. If you want top flight limo service, look no further. These guys were amazing. Prompt, professional, and most of all, we felt we were in safe hands. No erratic driving or any of the other ways drivers can often scare the hell out of you. i cant say enough about this company..our driver Ted was a super great guy enjoyed his company on our way to JFK.. on our return trip my airline messed up on our flight numbers and when i called to find out where our driver was they told us our time wasn't correct.. it was supposed to be in at 730 pm not 530 .. and they were spot on to quickly get us a car to get home without any delay within less than 25 minutes a car was out side the terminal and got us home safely.. I would dissuade anyone from using this company. The owner, Bob MacDonald tells you what you want to hear until it's too late and you have no other options. Like many brides, finding transportation was the last of my priorities. Looking back, I realize I should've made it my top concern since poor transportation can cause a slew of problems which unfortunately, I found out the hard way. I hired a bus and Rolls through Broward Limos in Island Park, NY for my wedding last weekend (rolls was actually subcontracted from Mark of Elegance but I dealt only with Broward). The bus was instructed to pick up my guests at The Garden City Hotel and bring them to the ceremony at KP Merchant Marine Academy then bring the guests to the reception (GC Country Club) and return them to the hotel upon their request and w scheduled shuttles at 1030pm and 11pm. The Rolls was to bring the bride to the ceremony and to the reception. The bus was late to arrive at the hotel and then preceded to wait for another wedding accidentally. It left 50 mins late from the hotel and would not leave until I, the bride, called frantically from my hotel room (where I waited as not to be seen by the guests) before being able to leave in the Rolls. When I called the office, I was told abruptly that my passengers were late and I owed a $1200 cash balance. It was not until I literally screamed into the phone at the top of my lungs that the bus HAD to leave and the balance would be paid when I could leave my room and get to the Rolls that the office finally instructed the bus to depart for the ceremony. My guests were sitting on the bus for almost an hour. I was late for my wedding, my guests were late for my wedding-- which resulted in having to pay all of my ceremony vendors for an additional 1/2 hour. Adding insult to injury, once the bus brought guests to the reception, the driver refused to shuttle them back to the hotel before 1030pm. Once I got wind of it, I had to leave MY reception and ask the driver to please shuttle the guests upon their request. Hesitantly, the driver agreed. Unfortunately, several guests had already taken cabs the 1 mile distance to the hotel since they were turned away by the driver. I guess I paid for a bus for 10 hours only to sit in front of the country club for asthetics. I should've known this company was going to be a problem-- Bob MacDonald, owner of Broward, told me a few days before the wedding that I could pay my remaining balance in any way that I chose before the wedding. However, the day before the wedding, the office called me to finalize the balance. When I attempted to pay the $1200 balance with my credit card, I was told by the office worker that I could only pay with cash on the day of. To follow up, Bob called me himself and denied our entire conversation that had occurred only days before. I have not received any apologies from Broward for the comedy of errors that occurred on my wedding day. If you are looking for a wedding limo vendor in the NY area, use Cruise Control. I used them for my limousines and was treated professionally and there were absolutely no problems.
