I paid Broward Mall Dental PA thousands of dollars for crowns, bridge work, extractions, and bone replacement that were promised in my treatment plan, but the experience was extremely disappointing and painful. I was charged for porcelain/ceramic work, yet the final bridge installed appeared to contain exposed metal, had visible dark spots, rough surfaces, and did not match the color or size of my natural teeth. The bridge felt too high and uncomfortable from day one, causing me to repeatedly bite my cheek and tongue and experience ongoing pain. I had to return multiple times for adjustments and was even charged extra for temporary work that continued causing discomfort. After months of pain and stress, I sought a second opinion from a prosthodontist and oral surgeon, who identified problems including traumatic occlusion, open margins, exposed metal, and concerns about decay and improper fit. I also paid out of pocket for additional evaluations because the treatment I received was not what was originally offered or expected. The bone replacement included in my treatment plan was never performed. My experience left me in physical pain, emotional stress, and financial loss. I would strongly encourage anyone considering major dental work here to carefully review their treatment plan, ask questions, and consider getting a second opinion before proceeding. My Special Needs daughter had a bad toothache on a Saturday and her regular Drs. office wasn't open, I thought i hit gold finding this office and was able to get her in and get her taken care of until they told me she needed an emergency root canal. I let them do the job and paid the $1480.90 they charged and had the job done. now 3 months later and we still do not have the crown that was supposed to take a week or so. Worst place EVER!! I should have read the reviews before subjecting my daughter to this place. Now let me say this, their were a few good folk sprinkled in there. A hygienist that was gentle and kind and a few front desk associates were pleasant. THAT'S IT‼ Other than that, this place is very unorganized, unprofessional, long wait times and possibly doing fraudulent billing codes to get paid faster or twice. For the SAME EXACT treatment, with the very same insurance at my NEW, wonderful dental office, I had no out of pocket or co-payment. When I asked for the explanation of benefits (EOB) I was met with attitude and unprofessionalism. There had to be a different code used than the one sent to the insurance company. In order to get me to pay before services rendered. (Tooth Extraction) That's not even the kicker. The actually pediatric dentist was SO RUDE, IMPATIENT AND down right NASTY with my terrified 6 yr old that I was in shock. He made her have nightmares. Stuck her multiple times with the needle without numbing the gum first. Threatening her to stay still or she'll have to go to the hospital. Just awful!! She was already afraid of this, her first dental experience, but now he made her TERRIFIED. He never explained the services or treatment plan first to make sure I understood what was to take place, then when I brought that to his attention, he caught an attitide and practically said that I was lying. Can you believe it? An ATTITUDE. I believe he then took it out on my daughter ‼ PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, I BEG YOU-- DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE! PLEASE!! I am in complete disbelief after my experience at this place. My special needs son was treated so unprofessionally. We were taken back 1.5 hrs after our appointment time. The oral surgeon we saw stated that "she was too busy and didn't have the time to show my son the instruments she was using" to calm him down. We were left in the room several times with no idea if she was going to extract his tooth and at the end of it all- she threw her hands up, said "I tried" (because he was crying and scared of not knowing what she was doing) and was out of sight before we could even turn around. I had a dental crown procedure at the Sawgrass Mills Dental implemented in 2019 and the tooth came off 2022. Not even 3yrs and this procedure went wrong. The surgeon passed away and will not be able to see me. They glued the broken ceramic 2023 yet the issues persists. I was referred from Sawgrass Mills Dental to have my crown removed by a doctor who was supposed to be at the office. Instead the told me to go head to Broward Mall Dental assuring me that they were expecting me with an appointment. Well I get there and first and foremost they didn't have an appointment for me, they treat me really nasty and unprofessionals at the front desk. I get to see the doctor to have my crown removed. Then as I am waiting for the doctor, they gave me an estimate of 875.00 when clearly the other office stated 150.00 for this inconvenient matter. I did not hesitate to mentioned that I was granted 150.00 since this was a malpractice since most and all crowns are supposed to last longer. We'll Broward Dental Mall simply walked me out to the front door and the unprofessional front desk continued to use false information and speaking to me in a very disrespectful manner. I do not recommend Broward Dental from broth their lack of professionalism and transparency. But most importantly the two ladies in the from are not qualified for this job. Scum bags. Was told my extraction was covered by my insurance. Which it was. But they added a $500 fee for placement of intra-socket biological dressing to aid in hemostasis or clot stabilization. Which is optional and not absolutely necessary. So my zero cost covered by my insurance procedure ends up being $500. So I walked out and got a second opinion. Do not go here! Not to mention it is dirty and the equipment is rusty. Dirt on the walls and floor. Dr. Irena Spivak is the dentist. I asked her to reconsider and she offered to lower the price of the unnecessary code she added to my procedure. 2/16/2022 What unfortunate was that I did not review that dental location prior to go there on 2/2/2022! I wasted huge time going there and wait for them to follow up with me. Yes they made me wait and later after examining me they told me that i should wait for the insurance company to respond/approve 2 to 3 weeks. I called them after one week and they kept me placing on hold and tell me that they are busy. I decided to report them to Humana and Liberty and look for some one else. I am on the verge of taking this place to court!! I had an implant abutment placed on a front tooth and consequently had to wait 9 weeks to get the crown that fits over it. But it gets much, much worse .... the woman dentist who worked there quit, and in walks her replacement who barely spoke English which would have been ok had he not turned my CROWN into a fang with his drill thinking he was Picasso the painter(see photo below). Just to let you know I wouldn't let this so-called dentist color in my kid's coloring book!! let alone ever work on my teeth again. It also turns out that they let me leave the office with this thing cemented in my mouth. I have attempted to contact this office manager named Natalie who is always out of the office and never returns a phone call. When she is there she never gets out of her chair and you can't help but notice (if you know what I mean). Horrific office staffed by incompetent employees!!! Steer clear! Needed a broken tooth pulled and after showing up early for my 3 pm appointment, I was told I wouldn't be helped at all. Dr Vazquez had examined me and was prepared to pull my tooth, and had asked me to go upfront and pay first. I went upfront to do so but was told I would have to pay the full amount since they had not gotten approved for the procedure yet. Rita the nasty, Spanish only speaking receptionist had forgotten to send in my preauthorization approval form (I was there getting x-rays 3 days earlier, from an emergency appointment I had made) so naturally they wanted me to pay out of pocket in full, or I would have to reschedule the appointment I waited days for and took off of work to make, instead of just calling my provider and obtaining the proper paperwork. They then asked me to wait in the waiting room, and when I calmly protested and called my insurance company in front of them and explained that its okay, this problem just takes a second, just do your job and call the provider, no one stopped to help me. There were literally 7, SEVEN, women in scrubs staring at me (not an English speaking one in sight), yet not one cared enough to rectify their mistake, mind you I'm in extreme pain and have needed a tooth pulled for days now. So, I have the Insurance Company on the phone in front of Rita, the unfriendly embarrassment of an employee, and I'm getting aggravated, when she decided that it was important information that she MUST tell the Provider (in broken English) that my first appointment was made as an emergency, (like that matters) and now, 3 days later, the second time I'm here, I still need the same procedure done. At that first visit I was assessed and xrays were taken, and an appointment was set for when Dr. Vazquez, the "only" doctor who does extractions, would be in. The doctor was ready to pull my tooth, and Rita forgot to send in my preauthorization, and It wasn't my fault, it was hers. Then, when she had an opportunity to do the right thing and call the provider, (I had even given her the phone number), she purposely did the wrong thing and she instead referred me to an oral surgeon, even though Dr Vazquez who was on staff was willing to do the extraction only moments ago. I'm sure you could imagine my frustration. Then, when I asked for a manager, I was told there was no manager on shift, and that I would have to call them another random day to file a complaint. I then asked Rita for her name she flat out refused to tell me who she was. It was only after I literally called the police in front of them that another staff member got scared and told me who she was. I was appalled. She was an awful person to deal with and she has no business working with the public. She can barely even speak English as it is, thats bad enough, let alone having to deal with her garbage attitude. Not only was this place extremely unprofessional, it was dirty. Very dirty in fact. As I waited for them to give me the run around I noticed a spotted and stained ceiling, complimented by a spotted and stained wall, a filthy floor and worst of all the instruments they were going to stick in my mouth looked tarnished and old. I just had my tooth pulled at another dentist entirely, and while writing this my insurance was verified and an authorization was obtained. It was right before 5 PM when I got there. Its now 6:06 PM, my tooth is out, I've been consulted with, and I'm currently at CVS waiting for my antibiotics. All this was possible for the fools at Broward Mall Dental to do in a timely fashion, but they were only interested in helping Hispanics. It was painfully obvious. The entire staff is Hispanic, they even had Spanish music playing from some lousy phone or clock radio speaker behind the counter. It was, quite frankly, biased, and obviously so. So, I guess I lucked out, even though it was frustrating and took the whole day, because I found a much, much better Dentist, one who smiles and speaks English and is happy to have a diverse customer base, one who is much more professional and quicker than Broward Mall Dental. Please, unless you have absolutely no other choice, pick another dental office. Appointment was at 12:00, it wasn't until 1pm that they called me in for just the X-rays. Lady says they'll call me back in in 5 mins, I wait another thirty minutes until I go up to the front desk. The girl at the front desk explained that they were just waiting on a room to open up. Read: overbooked. I overheard her telling another customer asking about his son and how much longer they'd be waiting as well that they'd "be able to do his cleaning today but wouldn't have time to do the cavity fillings." In other words, to come back and waste another afternoon. I finally get called in to the dr. She's nice enough and answered my questions as best as she could yet I felt super rushed. She said teeth were fine, all I needed to get done was a cleaning. The girl who did the cleaning rushed as well, I walked out feeling not like I had just had a professional bi-annual cleaning, but as if I had just brushed my teeth really well. I mean it was nothing spectacular. Didn't check the gum pockets or anything. The whole thing took less that 15 mins from the time they called me back in. I checked with the girls at the front desk, "anything else I need before I check out?" "No, you're all set." "Okay I don't need to sign anything or do anything else right?" I double checked just because her response seemed very dismissive. "Nope see you in 6 months." Yeah, that's not happening. I left. Ten minutes later they call and say I had a prescription written to me that I forgot to pick up. I said "I asked you twice if there was anything else and you told me no." It was for a prescription mouthwash, at that point I just wanted to get out of there so I didn't go back. Sorry for the long review but I mean, it was just a complete disregard for customer service, quality care, and other people's time. Super uncomfortable, cramped, barely anyplace to sit somewhere where you're going to be waiting at least an hour. The front desk girls were like deer caught in headlights the whole time, not their fault really when you're setting up the whole operation for failure by overbooking each day, but still, you could tell they had very little professional experience. And then the cleaning and consultation itself did in no way justify the long wait. If I had walked out of there feeling like it was worth it, and at least my teeth were clean, believe me I wouldn't complain. I'm not writing this review expecting anything to change. A place like this will be open for a very long time and will remain booked day in and day out. The purpose for this review is to warn anyone considering coming here to find someplace else. I don't often write reviews but I felt compelled to do so on this business after my experiences there. Back in December of 2021 I took my 94-year-old father to be seen by a dentist in this practice. This practice was on his insurance, near his residence and they gave me an appointment quickly. I was lucky enough to have my boyfriend with me, a retired dentist to help navigate whatever treatment plan they were going to suggest for him. Let me say my father's mouth is a mess! We knew he would need extractions and most likely dentures made but we needed to establish a relationship with a dentist to handle it. We arrived on time for our 10am appointment and sat there waiting for a long time. I kept asking what the delay was and then finally they said we had a power outage and we are behind schedule. Isn't that the first thing you should say then?? At least that would have explained the delay. We actually waited 2 hours to be seen. They attempted to take x-rays but my Dad has terrible posture and they were not able work around that. I had a set of x-rays from another dentist that I was able to share. It was determined that he needed 5-6 lower teeth extracted. They said the Oral Surgeon (OS) would be in on Sunday January 2nd and he only comes once a month. I thought it was odd that the OS would work on a holiday weekend but we made the appointment since waiting a month wasn't an option. The appointment was confirmed. On our way to pick up my Dad, the office called and said they had to cancel because the OS got into a car accident and wasn't going to be in. They said he would make up the day on the 9th but I couldn't do that day so we were able to book him for the 8th in the Saw Grass Mills Dental office...the offices are related. We show up on the 8th- again a long wait - the Broward office never sent his records over. We finally get to meet the OS and I asked him how he was feeling after his car accident and he said "I didn't have a car accident"! What?!? I told him that's what the office told us and he just said "I didn't have an accident". They lied to us about why they canceled us! The OS finally said the Broward office told him they didn't have support staff and he shouldn't come in. This was appalling! Six teeth get extracted and that went well. Now its about 6 weeks later and my Dad says he has a broken tooth so we know he needs to see the dentist again...and my boyfriend says lets get him checked and figure out the rest of his treatment plan. I didn't want to go back to Broward Dental but he felt our bad experience could not repeat itself...but it did. I made the appointment and specifically said I need a time when we will be taken quickly - he's 94 and can't wait so they assured me the 10am appointment was best. We show up on time - there are already a couple of people waiting but I didn't think anything of it because I figured there's more that one dentist here. WRONG! They actually booked 6 patients in the 10am slot for 1 Dentist and whoever gets there first is seen first. Here's the kicker...the one Dr. that's supposed to see 6 patients at the same time shows up an hour late! The front desk staff has no idea where she is...well at least they didn't lie about her getting into a car accident! I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone! They take him back, once again can't get a decent x-ray, the Dr. shows up and basically has nothing to say...so at that point we decided to leave. We never should have gone back and it goes without saying we never will! Contacted at 3pm to notify that the patient was running late with their transportation which was late because no one indicated it was in a mall and they said "not a problem". We arrived to be told appointment was at 2:30pm, not 3pm, and doctor would not see patient. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. The front desk staff aren't very friendly. I don't see what's the point in scheduling appts at this place because the wait time is BEYOND ridiculous. I had a mid-afternoon appt and wasn't seen for another 1 1/2 hours. When I asked the front desk what was going on, her response was rude. "Oh you have Medicaid, so patients who do not have Medicaid go before you". I was so upset, what a waste of time and very frustrating. This place is horrible! Definitely not the best dental place for your kids , they don't speak English , it was very hard to understand what they were talking!! On our first appointment when we got there they were closed because of some pipes licking, but nobody called us to cancel the appointment.. read more

I am still completely mortified following my visit to this office, i came into this office for a simple root canal & ended up leaving toothless because the dentist actually broke my tooth during the procedure. To add insult to injury, she could could pull the entire tooth & ended up leaving part if the tooth under my gum line; which is now causing me pain. I was very saddened by this whole ordeal & when i asked what could be done to rectify this matter, i was offered an over priced option to place in a dental implant. My issue with this entirely is, no extra accommodations were made after this horrific incident. I was asked to sign papers while partially sedated; in order for them to pull the tooth out & of course i signed because i was in terrible pain but Patients deserve better than that, my smile was a big part of who i am & now i dont smile at all. I took my daughter here in the past for cleanings and x-rays. On our last visit, the office was filthy. The person who cleaned her teeth was untrained. The dentist said she had 6 cavities. I took her to another dentist and she had no cavities. Buyer beware. I would rate less than 1 star if I could. read more
