I can't really pick a favorite meat but maybe it's between the turkey and the brisket. The Texas twinkies... my boyfriend is OBSESSED. I buy them to surprise him with when I want to make his day. The service is prompt, girls could use a little more enthusiasm, I get it, you're at work. But the poker face makes you feel like it's definitely a transaction and not an experience. The restaurant itself is quaint but very cute and space is utilized nicely. I did expect my turkey sandwich to come with the white bear sauce as it's pictured and advertised with. Came with barbecue instead, I was sad lol.

The place wasn't crowded, but did have plenty of people inside either waiting for orders or eating at some of the handful of tables. I looked at the big menu display screens and then placed my order at the counter with the nice woman who works there. I had the brisket plate with chili and corn bread as my sides. The brisket (some fatty, some lean so I could try their idea of both) was cooked well and had a good smoke ring. The smoke flavor wasn't as strong as I prefer, but different people have different ideas and less is more when you're cooking for a crowd, so I respect that. Their barbecue sauce (the red one -- I don't put yellow sauce on brisket -- had a good flavor that complemented the brisket's flavor rather than overpowering it.) As for the sides, the chili was OK, but not something that I would order again. I like chili and was curious. Curiosity satisfied. The corn bread was moist and that middle-of-the-road between sweet and savory that is common in much of Texas (at least the parts I have visited). I like mine a little more sweet, but, like the brisket, I am a believer in getting the texture right first. Be aware if you are a fan of the sweet corn breads.

If you're looking for a true taste of Arizona history, character, and downright great food,…read moreDirtwater Springs is an absolute must-visit. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into an Old West ghost town saloon, complete with authentic antiques, historic relics, rustic wood floors, and enough character to keep you exploring long after you've finished your meal. The building and its legendary atmosphere have made it a local favorite for decades, and it's even gained a reputation among paranormal enthusiasts as one of Arizona's haunted destinations. Now let's talk about the food. The Bison Burger was one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and worth the trip all by itself. The menu is packed with hearty Southwestern and American favorites that fit the Old West setting perfectly. What really makes Dirtwater Springs special, though, is the people. The bartenders and servers bring just the right mix of sass, humor, and genuine hospitality. Expect some playful sarcasm, plenty of laughs, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming for the history, the ghost stories, the amazing burgers, or just a fun and unique Arizona experience, Dirtwater Springs delivers. Come hungry, stay awhile, and don't be surprised if you find yourself planning your next visit before you've even left the parking lot. Highly recommended!

The potato was so big I could not finish the soup and a container was offered by our waitress. Hubby had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. He liked the pickle on top of his bun. Thought it was a nice playful touch. Our waitress was attentive with drinks. What we didn't care for. The food took forever. A party of five seated after us was served before us. I understand when things go wrong or take longer. Please tell your diners why there is a hold up. I'd much prefer that than. Itching and watch people who arrived after us being served before us with similar dishes I might add. When in the area I may try again. The place has a cute country theme. However, I will probably try another establishment before I come back. If I could give 3.5 I would. They deserve that.

We had been here once before and found the food and service more than five stars. The veggies in our food were crisp and tastey. The iced tea really hit the spot. My husband and i proceeded to wait on our menus and were enjoying our conversation and you could here both women behind the counter having a heated conversation. The woman that initially gretted us came up to us and said, we close in an hour are you sure you want to say and my husband and i looked at eachother and said of course we do. The woman then looked very annoyed and raised her voice to the other woman behind the counter and looked back and said to us "do you want to go" and my husband and i looked at eachother confused. She then kept insisting, "the kitchen is being cleaned, you're going to have to wait 15-20 minutes to order" and my husband and i insisted we were okay with waiting. It was just us two in the restaurant again, over an hour before close. and the woman then again said "do you want to go? it's going to be 15-20 minutes", i then said sternly we are okay with waiting and the woman said yet again "do you want to go" we weren't being given an option. The woman was insisting we leave. My husband got upset and said we should just go. They were incredibly rude, unwelcoming and disgusting in the manner they attended us. My husband and I used to go here frequently when we were dating and the woman did nothing other than ruin a place that had so many great memories for us. I can confidently say now, Panda Express is so much better. we came here right after, 15 minutes before close and greeted with nothing other than smiles and fresh food upon our request.
