Let's keep this short. This Brown Bear has two major flaws but, as always, great staff. First, like Desiree last year, I had spilled coffee stains and did the cheap wash to get it off. Having an economy option is only as good as the quality. That it couldn't remove the most superficial smudge makes it worthless and the option should be removed. Second, the entrance is built to block traffic on 99. Sure, customers might be willing to wait around the block but local traffic gets screwed. I really like getting my car washed here! It is always really quick going. If there is a line, it doesn't take that long. I have gone twice on the free car wash day and the line is out onto the street and around the block and it still only took about 20 minutes. The people that work there are really friendly and helpful. They smile and wave. They are nice about telling you if you need to move one direction or another. The best part is that the part that you drive on is really wide. Much wider and different than any other drive through car wash I have been to. It makes it much easier to get on correctly. I like the vacuums. They are pretty powerful and have a nice taper at the end so you can get in crevasses. The only problem I have had is the glass cleaner doesn't work well for me. I used the provided towels and the glass cleaner left streaks on the inside of my windshield. The price of the car wash is comparable to other nearby car washes. I like that the vacuum is free. read more

Pros: there was a very friendly staff member who helped me turn the vacuum on and then later taped my rear windshield wiper down. the free vacuum was helpful. I was prepared to have to toss in quarters every 2.5 minutes. Con: ran my car through the wash, and it was still dirty after. A cup of coffee had spilled down the side and front of the car after rolling off the roof and the car wash didn't get it all off. The windows are still streaked and the door is sticky. read more

The wash itself did a good job. There were only a couple spots that remained dirty (rear license plate and bird crap above driver side window) The location is pretty bad for traffic flow. Accidents waiting to happen. The older gentleman lining up the cars entering the wash was a bit of an asshole. Knocked on my window hard and told me to take my foot off the brake. Tesla's require you to press the brake and shift to drive for car wash mode. It's advisable that you allow someone time to perform this function prior to talking to them like they don't know what they are doing or haven't been to a car wash before. read more

Drove my 2020 Ford Escape through the Brown Bear car wash tunnel in Lynnwood and the cleaning cloths caught a window trim edge and mangled it. I was informed by the manager that they are not responsible! He looked at pictures taken inside the car wash of the left and right side of my vehicle and claimed there was a wider trim gap where the damage occurred! Avoid this business if you like your car! Went back to this car wash a few weeks ago and had a totally different experience. I spoke with the manager, Luis, and told him I'd had a particularly unhappy experience before and needed his help loading a card with paid for car washes. He got that done, said he'd assign someone to see that I got through the process smoothly and I did. I also got a very good car wash. Not completely dry so I had to hand dry and remove some streaks, but still very good (nice enough that I got compliments on my car all week). Good car wash's, this one has FREE vacuums (like they all should lol), and I love that they offer microfibers you can use while you're there. Normally car wash's don't ask me to take off the antenna or tape down wipers, but do it when that ask. This car wash is the closest Brown Bear that I can visit. I was at this car wash about one month after the free car wash day that I visited at the Everett location and they were very proficient at that location on that day. When I visited this North Lynnwood location, the code that I was sent after signing up for the e-mail notice service (shamrock7771) from my visit to the Everett location didn't work at the Lynwood self pay terminal that you drive up to pay at before you go through the wash. I was in a rush as well since I was going to my Dad's Oncology appointment at Virginia Mason downtown and had to run and find the manager who came over to help me check the code and then sent me through the wash since it wasn't working. I was a bit annoyed since I own a small business and would expect the codes being sent out to work, especially by a company this large. I meant to write this a few months ago but I wanted to thank the Manager at this location for taking care of me when it didn't as it was the right thing to do in this instance. The wash itself was a good quality wash and I recommend both of these locations if you want a pretty fast and high quality wash. read more

I'm a fan of Brown Bear and looking to find a regular stop off location closer to my home. I appreciate the convenience of recognizing that it is getting harder to see out the windows and to be able to alleviate this problem without leaving your car. I love how easy it it is to pay by machine, drive on to the track, enjoy a few minutes of solitude and peacefulness while the car wash does its thing and then drive off into the sunset. I always find the employees who work here to be very friendly and they seem to enjoy their jobs. I think Brown Bear overall is a great company. I enjoy their social media presence. One of my most favorite things about Brown Bear is their customer appreciation, they do a yearly free car wash day as a way to say thank you. This day must be a lot of work, but they get everyone in and out with a smile on their faces. While I get car washes all year round, I usually mark this day on my calendar as a special event because I enjoy it so much. It seems like such a nice thing to do. This year I stopped at this location instead of my regular one and was surprised at how fast the line went. It did seem a little awkward to wait on the actual road but I was happy to see they had staff helping out and making sure everyone got thru safely. read more

Left and went straight to the car wash next to pcc in Edmonds, paid 13$ with tax there and it was far superior, I won't ever take my vehicle here again. The hood of it wasn't even cleaned all the way. The pcc place even scrubbed down the exterior with brushes before having me drive thru it, they said even there most basic car wash gets that. I usually get a car wash at the Ballard location when I'm in the area. Never had a problem. This one on 99 is so much closer to me in Mill Creek so I gave it a try. I was stunned to hear two loud snaps from my car while in the tunnel getting soaked, soaked and scrubbed. Turned out the mechanism flipped my back window windshield blade completely inside out. Or backwards. It was impossible to flip it back the right way so I got the manager. He literally had to forcefully scrape the metal blade across the glass to get it right. Unfortunately, the blade was toast as well as the front blades which got bent backwards. My next trip was to O'Reilly's to get three new wiper blades. I didn't even think to get reimbursed. I am never going here again. A trip to Ballard is worth it. read more

We took two of our cars to the car wash for the Beary best. We first took a 2012 Nissan Sentra and then our 2022 Honda Civic. When we got home we learned that the car wash chipped off paint on the Civic and later checked the Sentra to find the same thing. This is so disappointing. read more

Definitely not impressed with management at this site. There was damage on my vehicle after leaving the car wash- when we discovered it (broken back windshield wiper and what seem to be scratches from their cleaning mechanism), drove straight back. They were willing to write a claim for the broken windshield wiper, but not the scratches, so we have to file that claim through their online process. Ok. For the windshield wiper damage, we were responsible for getting the quote, which just took additional time out of my day off. The manager said that once we give him a quote, he could cut a check for the amount of the damage. I call around and will be receiving the quote that night, so Justin (the manager) says we can bring it by the next day. I show up the next day (Sunday), and Justin is not there. The attendant says we need to wait for him before the damage quote can get processed, which would be Tuesday, and at that point a check could be mailed to us. I call Tuesday and Justin is off work. I call Wednesday, Justin says the quote is there, and now he needs to send the paperwork for processing at his main office and it will be 2-3 WEEKS for the accountant to process it. This is a completely different timeline than what was communicated earlier, and I doubt this processing step changed from Saturday to Wednesday if it is their standard process. Overall, communication from the manager Justin was poor and misleading, and leaves a really frustrated customer in the wake of damage they caused. I would not return. read more

Update: I went for a car wash today. One of the workers came up and asked to tape my back wiper to protect from the wash. I had never heard of this before but I followed his instructions. When I got home to open my trunk, my wiper had fallen off and was hanging on by the blue tape. Crazy! I called and spoke to the site manager Justin. He was very nice and said it is rare but it can happen but they would take care of it. I've always been a loyal Brown Bear customer, but today they went above and beyond. I locked myself out of my car with the keys in the ignition and my poor dog locked in the back. Without my cell phone, wallet or any way to save my canine bestie, Caleb and his cousin, both amazing Brown Bear employees, helped me out so much! After multiple attempts to call the one number I have memorized, without an answer (shout out to the stranger that let me use their cell phone!), Caleb gave me a ride home where I got my spare key and came back in record time to rescue my pooch. OK--my new Brown Bear opened up in Lynnwood. I was watching and waiting for a long time. Happy a wash was closer to home, and always was pleased with BB in the past. Tried it out today. Very nice. Staff was super polite and helpful. Price was about what I expected. I looked into the year club or tickets. Tickets package works best for me based on my habits. I wanted to tip the staff as I always do at washes, but they said they don't take tips. Too bad. They earned it by their dress, manners and service. Hey--corporate--let us tip them, eh? Based on this and my previous good experiences with BB, I'm sold. Additionally, BB was a generous donor at a recent brunch event I attended for Climb to Cure Cancer for Fred Hutch. They were most generous. I don't use this as a metric, but it just solidifies my support for a good company doing good for customers and their community. (Thanks, BB.) This is the only brown bear car wash I have been too. That said, the employees here work very hard and I have noticed. They offer support and are very cordial in nature. Especially Katella, she is very humble and polite and she went out of her way to give me the most for my money. I hope the other brown bear locations hire people like her.
