I found that all my issues were solved by cutting out caffeine, cutting down alcohol, and getting off hormonal birth control.

Over the years I will say the check in process has improved and my most recent visit, yesterday, was one of the smoothest since I have been going. After check in you are directed to a Waiting Room until your name is called. The nurses assistant than takes you to your room and reviews your information and reason for your visit and the doctor arrives. This is where I have experienced the most wait time...waiting for the doctor. However, everyone I have seen has always addressed my concerns/illness/etc. and never have I had to return for the same reason. They allow you to schedule your Annual Appointments months out, so definitely get those in the books. Overall, MMG will remain my go to Doctors office, due to the staff, location and ease of scheduling an appointment.

She didn't seem to care about my health problems, or why I came to the doctor. I visited her regarding a health issue, and an issue that my job had contributed, and I needed a doctor excuse for the previous days I missed before, because of illness , dr Kapadia was not able to see me, and I need extended days after she examined me, dr Capadeia response was I need to use my pto time, in which I didn't have enough at the time to use, dr Capodeia refused to sign me out of work for the extended days I needed . My manager on the job felt that if the doctor would not sign for my time out, then she wouldn't either. I was at retirement age and I was very stressed out over my health issues, the doctor decision not supporting me regarding my health issues, and the mistreatment of the manager. in which led me to do an early retirement, since I am 67 years old. I filed a legitimate complaint against my manager, which she has been dismissed from the company. I also notice in all of my diagnoses from dr Sheena Kapadia she never changed any of my diagnosis notes, she just printed out the same information each time, this went on for 1 year or more. I wanted to make a complaint about this dr Kapadia , but I kept giving her the benefit of doubt, that it would change, but it didn't it got worst. If I had any other medical complications that had occurred prior to my visit she wouldn't allow me to discuss it , she would tell me I had to make another appointment and discuss it then, so I would leave the office not knowing what to do and very extremely stressed out due to the visit I had with her. This complaint is longer , and it would take awhile for me to write it, but I know it had to be written before 2024. I am still having issues today, that dr Kapadia fell to listen to or diagnose. I was also informed by a staff member that she does better with her own cultural, and it is others patients having the same complaints as myself.. A nurse suggested to me , if I wanted to changed primary physician, without my request, I said yes since dr Kapadia did not care about my overall health . I don't recommend this physician

I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised the nurse was amazing and the doctor was thorough and didn't make me feel rushed or spoke in jargon making it impossible to understand! If anything you may get a stale attitude from someone if they're having a bad day but overall everyone seemed nice and welcoming.

Luckily I came upon Dr. Shelton. The office is located in Southpark so it's pretty convenient from most places in Charlotte. Parking is never an issue. I did have to get used to e-prescriptions. I guess I'm old skool in that I expect a little piece of paper to take to my Pharmacy... but they just send it electronically and the prescription is waiting for me when I get there. Not that Dr. Shelton is one to dispense pills to treat you, but we discuss the options and it feels like I make an informed choice whenever I visit this doctor's office. When she got back on the line it wasn't a "sorry for placing you on hold" it was a sharp "where you holding for someone??" when i started to talk, she hung up on me. when i called back--right back--same woman answered and asked me the same series of questions as if she hadn't just hung up on me. This isn't booking a dinner reservation at Chili's. I could forgive it if that were the case. This is supposed to be my Primary Care Physician's office. I met him 5 years ago after a severe bout of depression and terrible medical care which wound me in a bad place. He helped me recover and be healthy again. Worth paying out of network so I can be a fully functional mom, wife and professional in my opinion.
