She loves Jesus and became a more passionate young lady 5 years ago when she was asked if she would like to volunteer at evening Sunday services. Kind, genuine people see that. 5 staff members harassed her, then fired her, plus gave her a cruel label. She has a physical and cognitive disability. She cannot drive so has always taken Lyft there and back and she lives much farther away. She has many friends there, some who have stopped going to RHC because of the harassment she endured before they told her to not come to Sunday night services. But this IS otherwise an amazing, welcoming church with pastors who are deep, reflective, engaging, compassionate and are full of God's grace and love. She has learned a valuable lesson and moved on to churches who welcome her volunteering and attending. My review is only for those staff members who discriminate explicitly the disabled adults volunteering.
Teaching from Scripture each Sunday. We value creating space for formation--shared life, spiritual practices, and learning the Way of Jesus.
Worship and dance time with RH Kids. We love partnering with families to raise a generation of children who passionately love Jesus.
Catching up in the lobby after the service. We create space to meet and connect with others over refreshments.

Of course, my son took it. This is it important a little bit later on in the story. I'll make it short and quick. I one moment of the service. My son was making a little too much noise with that toy car and because his brother had left to go use the restroom immediately calm down and that was the end of it About 10 seconds later. Another volunteer comes up to me telling me that we'll just be the last of his hand from mind you. He's already sitting down my lap , Completely quiet you which I just tell her. Yes as you can see. He's calm. Then she says well I've been at the very Front and I've already heard him multiple times. At this point, I can't help get defensive because no you have not. I don't know who you've heard but no you have not. My son hasn't made no more noise than someone yawning or putting their coffee cup down. I'll let it be known that can't be true. This was his first noise out and it was completely put out in literally 15 seconds. Which mind you you guys were the one who keep him a toy at the beginning of the Service I felt extremely comfortable after this and extremely unwelcome. How are you guys going to argue over normal human noises? In fact, I would've been argue that many adults there are making louder noises than my son, when and part of the fact you guys were the one who handed him a toy. I don't know What You Were Expecting and to come up to Me telling me that you've been hearing him over 20 feet away. It's just completely a lie and I'm not gonna except that coming from anyone anywhere. Needless to say, I will never be coming back, and I can not te that. This is probably just a bad experience with a specific volunteer. Not the whole church itself. However, it just being one of the first times. This is the impression that I have, and I know, there's a better fir elsewhere that actually welcomes everybody of all ages and not just tries to keep a certain image up I was almost forgetting, just to put the cherry on top. I left the service early because of how uncomfortable I felt. I felt as if my son couldn't sneeze without her. Trying to find any reason to kick us out of the area. And when I did leave literally the front door guy shakes his head at Me. I am just appalled with this behavior. Literally do Better

The goal of Sovereign Grace Church is to make its attendees and visitors more impressed with Christ than with itself. Their love is genuine. When you become part of the community, you are truly known. There is freedom in the small groups to share all of the challenges and difficulties of life. They weep with those who weep and laugh with those who laugh. And the community doesn't end on Sunday, members are involved in each others lives throughout the week, whether it be official church meetings or just living life together. The congregation is welcoming to all visitors and members often invite visitors out to lunch to get to know them and answer questions about what church life is like. Regarding the essentials, it holds to the centrality of the gospel, Biblical authority with expository preaching, a worship liturgy that recounts the gospel and biblical truths in a pattern that reminds the congregation of the centrality of the gospel, meetings during the week such as small groups, prayer meetings, and rotating classes and events to provide congregants with deeper connection, and a pastoral team that is closely and humbly involved in the lives of its congregants and provide the teaching, preaching, counseling, and support that its members need.

Can't be grateful enough to know an amazing and humorous pastor like him. Could go on forever. But don't tell him I said so! His sermons are amazing. Sometimes does two sermons: one for youth service (high schoolers & middle schoolers) at 10:00 am on Sundays & one for English Ministry service (singles, married, college, college & up) at 12:00 pm. Services are usually one hour or less. There is free food served before service as well as after service. We first start off with word or prayer, worship, offering, prayer, sermon (sometimes includes videos), announcements, and prayer! In addition, we also have Korean Ministry service that is also for people who speak/understands korean under Pastor Ko. Their services starts at 1:30 pm on Sundays. Majority college & older for the people in their service, and quite smaller compared to English Ministry service and Youth Service. Youth service is also every Fridays at 7:30 pm followed with 6:30 pm free dinner. The youth pastor is the lovely Pastor Alex. He does great preaching with nice visual powerpoints.
