I ordered a part for my Ruger PC carbine and received the wrong order entirely. Not even mentioning that, I paid $20 extra for 2-day shipping, and received my wrong order exactly 7 days after I ordered. When I called customer support to inquire about my order, (4 days after ordering) they wouldn't refund my $20 of 2-day shipping because I didn't answer a 1-800 call, while I was at work. They didn't leave a message, nor did they email me until 4 days later. I was told they wouldn't ship until I confirmed it was actually me. Never again will I give my money to this joke of a company. This company is a joke. They have no issue taking money but take their sweet time taking care of the customer. Ordered an no updates. Live chat employees are worthless. Called in the young lady Alexa actually did some leg work to assist and reached out to the FFL department( who clearly need customer service training) she was able to confirm they did receive information needed but still didn't do anything to process the order just basically pushed aside for another day. Placed order on 25th of November, needed by the 6th of December. Live within 120 miles of them. Whatever they use for shipping is a joke. UPS has no tracking data, Brownells website has update multiple times, extending the delivery date. Today I call and I'm told it will be there within 4-7 business days. After counting it out she concluded that it should be Friday the 6th (as originally planned and needed). Then she went on to tell me it will probably be there by next Tuesday the 11th. Come on, in todays world of shipping there is no way you should not be able to give accurate times and be able to follow up as it travels. I now have to order from another retailer and pay overnight. Been a customer for 30 years. I ordered 10/22 parts on 6-29-20. Pkg has been in Kansas MO from 7-1-20 to 7-10-20 (today). Still there & not moving. Mail innovations shipping does not work.......period. I'm going to reverse charges. This is the 2nd time this happened. shipping sucks I placed an order on Friday August 9 and was advised estimated delivery date was Thursday August 15. On Tuesday August 13 the tracking number was issued and changed to awaiting pickup with estimated delivery on Friday August 14. On Saturday when the order had not been delivered and still showing awaiting pick up i contact Brownells and was told it had shipped. So I contacted UPS they said Brownells had not given the package it was still awaiting pick up to contact Brownells. Now they are saying estimated delivery on Saturday August 24. Their customer service and sales processes are a joke. Don't waste your time. Same experience as others. I received an order confirmation days after I placed an order. The confirmation said I would be receiving a shipping notice next. The items were in stock so I expected them to ship that same day or next. After 8 days and no shipping information, I contacted them and got a reply that they were days behind on answering emails. I did get an email later that day that seemed unrelated, but said I needed to call and verify some information. When I called they verified my address, my billing information and every item on the invoice. They then wanted the last four digits of the credit card I used. When I told them I actively use 10 or so credit cards and could not tell them which one I used. They said they needed it. WHY? They had all my other information and could compare it to the card info. Worst experience ever. By the way- why did they not disclose they were going to reconfirm everything rather than leaving me hanging for 8 days. They did not even follow the process they said they would in their confirmation email. Worst experience ever and the customer service woman was a witch. I will never order from Brownells again. ***02/06/17 Update*** Changed my review from 1 star to 3 since the butt pad was eventually mailed to me separately. It took awhile talking back and forth with customer service to get them to contact Magpul and send out a replacement part with hardware. I write an email to Brownells and they replied with "the stock does not come with a butt-pad." If you view the product on their site here: http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/stock-parts/furniture-sets/ar-15-moe-sl-furniture-set-m-lok-polymer-prod71574.aspx You can see the product is clearly shown with a butt-pad and in the description it says "...angled rubber butt-pad is optimized for use..." No where does it say that the product does not include all the pieces. Placed all the same items in a cart on MidwayUSA's site and it was only an extra $20 with shipping than I payed on Brownells. Now to order the missing butt-pad it's going to cost me an extra $25-$30. It's not so much about the price as it is the connivence, poor product description and terrible customer service. Again, save your time and money and go elsewhere! I've bought things from Brownells before, but never again. I'd rather pay the extra buck or two and get piece of mind that I get everything I paid for in a timely manner with more accommodating customer service reps. Hope this helps. read more

Received a notification for CCI Small Rifle Magnum Primers and promptly ordered. Received 3 MORE notifications AFTER submitting my order that they were in stock, so I thought I was finally getting some primers. Even received an email with a confirmation number and "IN STOCK" in big green letters in the email. Bank, right?? WRONG. Got another email with a pdf saying it was canceled. Took the time to chew out live chat, customer service email, and this review. I hope they go out of business for this crap, I'll never do business with such a deceptive company again. I was a first time buyer through Brownells website. I've made a purchase of a collapsible buttstock and buffer tube kit for my build. To my surprise I normally read the reviews beforehand of any company that I make any purchases from online and try to stay clear from it if it's bad. But somehow it slipped my mind and I didn't until after the purchase was made. I told myself what did I get myself into. So I emailed them addressing my concerns and wondered why people was leaving so many 1 stars. Of course these 1 stars are accumulation throughout the months or years, but still always a concern to me. They emailed me back the next day and assured me that they are doing the best they can to process and ship out customers order during this tough Covid-19 times. Very understandable. I would say about 20 minutes after I finished reading the email, I get another email saying my order is being shipped. Wow!!!!! I ordered it Sunday night and received my order Thursday afternoon. Ordered something on the 15th of April and although the website said it shipped 2 days later I received no tracking information as was promised. Shipping was to take 3-5 days. Nothing came in and I waited an extra day. Called them and almost every customer service rep I talked to seemed to have an attitude. They said it was a glitch in their system. They told me it would ship the day that I called and that I should have it by Wed or Thurs the following week. That was on a Friday. This is also an item I really needed for my business and I explained that to every rep. Well, the item didn't ship until Monday and wasn't expected to arrive until Fri. Looks like someone lied to me. I have ordered numerous parts and accessories in the past without any trouble, but my last order warranted a review. I had ordered four items, all in stock no big deal. Well the order didn't ship for 10 days and when I called they said there wasn't anything they could do because of a warehouse move and if I tried to change the shipping it would delay it further. Just discovered this business a few weeks ago and so far have had a fairly good experiences with them. They don't seem to have a good in stock of many munitions. I suppose the hoarders have been doing their deeds. Ammunition and related items are hard to get here. Their gun-smithing tools are top notch though! They have a great return policy with no questions asked. Shipping is slow as hell. And customer service people are not as friendly as I would expect. When I arrived home the day of the packages arrival, I saw an email on my computer stating that fedex was unable to deliver my package as a signature was required. What? How stupid! When I finally got ahold of someone in their customer service department it was as if I was talking to a chatbot. Also talked to someone in their international department for some reason. This company will not refund your money if a package gets lost in shipment. They tell you that they will file a claim with the shipping company in your behalf. Who does that? Instead of refunding your money and Brownell's filing a claim to get their money back, they keep your money and make you take the loss, and hope you will get reimbursed by the shipping company. Over the years I have occasionally ordered small items I could not get anywhere else, but their shipping time has always been slow, pricing mediocre, and service spotty at best. This past weekend I went to a Brownells sponsored event to meet Lou Ferrigno. I always wanted to meet him since I was a kid and even brought an old book for him to sign. While I was standing in line and next to meet him this guy from Brownells sees the book and tells me that is a violation of their promotional agreement for the event. I have been in business for over 30 years and have a solid understanding of business law. Such a claim is complete nonsense. I started to simply turn and leave in disgust, but it was literally my turn. Not wanting to make a scene in front of a class act like Lou I took the autograph on the cheap plastic sheet supplied by Brownells and left. The same guy could tell I was mad and made a half hearted attempt to smooth things over by asking a stupid question about the book. I just turned and left. I've order repeatedly, had nothing but incredibly fast shipping and their 100% satisfaction guarantee is stood behind. I've returned used/abused items and the $$$ simply was credited to my account. Unlike Midway, they offer a MILITARY/LEO DISCOUNT which is terrific and also offer a new shipping discount. I have and will continue to use Brownells as my source of tools, supplies, and ammunition. They are cheaper than Midway, have more inventory and ship faster with great customer service. read more

Has a good selection of parts and ammo, but not quite as voluminous as MidwayUSA.I have used this supplier for mail order. I compare their costs and shipping and have found them to be higher on cost and shipping than MidwayUSA. But in some items, they have certain models and types where no one else has them. So I advise searching their database in researching your buying choices. I have ordered twice form them and their service was acceptable and shipping was on the order of other suppliers. One service I really like and that others may not supply are downloadable detailed schematics for many brands of firearms and models of those manufacturers. read more

I contacted Brownell's and their response was Oh just wait it will probably get there. The package was last scanned midnight 6 days ago. Karen from customer service e-mailed me and told me once a package is shipped they will not return my payment. Karen told me to just wait. I ordered the trigger with a guarenteed arrival date. Karen told me if I receive the trigger I can only return it (At my expense) for a store credit. DO NOT ORDER FROM BROWNELL'S. Customer service is terrible. They would not let me apply it to a backorder even though the order was fulfilled after my membership started. Manager was very rude about it too. Submitted a $250 order online 12/31/17 to meet the cutoff date to receive a 25% rebate from the ammo manufacture. The ammo showed in stock and I received a order # and estimated delivery date of 1/5. I just called for status and they said the order was canceled because ammo was not in stock and it could not be back ordered. I explained their error cost me $65 in rebates and they said "Sorry there is nothing we can do". If they would have notified me the ammo was not in stock I could have ordered from another company in time to get the 25% rebate. First and last time using Brownells! read more

Really disappointing experience with Brownells. They had a firearm listed for sale which I ordered. The description was clear and the picture was clear as well. After waiting five weeks to receive it, it was the wrong model. They admit that the description was wrong. Now I've already gone through the background check, so returning it is a real hassle. I asked them if they could contact the manufacturer to swap out the incorrect part, and I received a response saying that I could return it if I wanted. Never even answered my question.
