We often visit this Browns location and this particular night, like many, was superb. It was 30 plus degrees outside but being 8pm we still chose a covered enclosed booth on the patio. Kirstin our server was quick with the drinks and accommodating when I asked for easy ice as I'm a slow drinker and don't want watery drinks. The sangria is HIGHLY recommended and incredibly refreshing. It was very busy with grads & their families quickly filing in. It took longer than usual for our meal and when my potato crusted cod was cold I mentioned it but told her not to worry I'd still eat it. To our surprise she had the entree removed without saying a word. We realized this in time to tip her handsomely as it was greatly appreciated but not expected. There for lunch, sat at high tables in bar area . Server Jordan was awesome! She's efficient, we never waited for service. She's friendly. Close to the Abbotsford Center where we just had saw Megadeth. We couldn't find a cab so we ended up here. Service was quick and friendly, but you can tell that she was pretty much done and wanted to go home. I had a Bellini and it was kinda shitty. It was melting, way too sweet and I couldn't taste any alcohol. I was tempted to send it back .... I also had the house white wine. Bonus it was Happy Hour Prices but it didn't taste great. I would of eaten but we came too late. However if the drinks were any Indication then we probably dodged a bullet. The Ladies Room was disgusting. Toilet paper was empty in the stall. The garbage was overflowing. The entire place needed a make over. Meh read more

Service: Has always been pretty good. I think maybe we have been there like 10+ times. Maybe one time they were a bit cold. But usually? The servers were on the ball. One time a server helped me save money and another time a server comp'd us for a small error that we didn't mind at all. Atmosphere: Usually kind of loud but not usually as loud as Cactus Club. I don't usually have to struggle that much to hear my companions. Lighting is dim but you can see everything pretty clearly. Food: Honestly has surprised me in being consistently decent-great. I really like the basil tomato soup. The quesadilla is a good portion. The potato cod crusted bowl is good too. Idk I honestly can't think of a food item there I didn't like at all, so much as a matter of personal preference. It's just like a consistently great place. ...(Specifically the McCallum one. I went to another one and it didn't compare so much service wise.) PS. Try the raspberry zero proof mojito. It's GREAT. Sweet and refreshing. Will post a pic of it. read more

The food is good, but I'd suggest only eating here if you'll be dining in. Anything ordered for take-out is halved in size and the price stays the same. I personally enjoy the blackened chicken cesar salad, however, I struggle to pay $22 for a salad with three ingredients and 4 thin slices of chicken breast. This is a great place for a business lunch (paid for as a business expense), otherwise it's just an overpriced Cactus Club competitor with mediocre food. read more

The kitchen. Front or the house and management nailed it. French fries are double cooked and not seasoned. Yes you f@ct up French fries. Bahahaha. Pizza, under cooked and doie (one bite you know the rules) get with it. Sent it back it came back as the same pizza still completely mush. Stop thinking you need to get the food out in 5 mins. Being gluten free and traveling can be a bit difficult at times. Thankfully, this place made it a little easier. My boyfriend and I were in town for a concert and needed some grub. He ordered a burger and fries, and I had the margarita pizza, gluten free. The place was definitely busy, service was good. My pizza was quite delicious. Server was good. Rachelle. Food was TERRIBLE. I had a beef dip with fries. They were "double fried" is what the waitress said. They were more like quadroople fried and more than necessary - and served COLD. I couldn't even eat them. They were hard as a rock. The Beef dip was supposed to be med rare but was more like well done. And it had so much horse radish on it dripped out of the sandwich. No onions like it said on menu. The bun was fresh. The only reason I gave them a two was because I was with good company and the waitress was competent. I won't be recommending this restaurant in ABBOTSFORD and I won't be returning. My business partner and I showed up here for a late lunch. When we asked for a table for two- the man who greeted us had a puzzled look on his face and addressed me in another woman's name and asked me if I was the one who ordered food from him a few minutes ago to the back? When that confusion was cleared up we were seated outside. The seating was nice and comfortable until they decided to open the screens. Then the wind was blowing our hair into our mouths while we were trying to eat. Our server was pleasant and helpful. We asked her to close it and then a few minutes later they closed it for us. I ordered the steak and sushi with a dairy allergy and she ordered the fettuccine. A few hours later we both got sick the rest of the evening!!! Tummy troubles, fever, chills - everything! We believe we got salmonella poisoning from this restaurant! Yuck! Never coming back here. read more

There was 5 of us and we spent a good chunk of money. 3/5 of our meals were extremely cold and the fries on another. We were waiting so long for the food we ate it because we didnt want to wait again, but i let our server know anyways. These were all $30 meals and the manager felt a free desert was fine to make up. Not pleased and definitely will NOT be back if thats the type of service. Any restaurant I've EVER worked at would never make a customer pay for a cold meal. Did i mention there was a chunk of food in my pop and when i sent it back and nicely asked for a water instead the server didn't even acknowledge the fact i told her there was a floaty??? I went to Browns Social house on a first date. The date was horrible he kept touching me inappropriately. I was very scared, he left to go to the bathroom I gathered my things and asked our server to call me a cab and that I would be in the bathroom waiting and to please let me know when they were there. The manager came in to see if I was ok and she escorted me to the office and instructed the taxi to come around the back. She waited with me the entire time she also escorted me out. Very long wait to be seated with only 4 tables ahead of us and 11 empty tables. Food took over an hour but arrived hot and was tasty. While the manager was around they were not helping the staff who were struggling. I know it's a new store but expect much more from management. read more

Service was excellent from beginning to end. There were 20+ people in our group and i think only one girl handling all of our orders and she was amazing. There wasn't much of a wait for anything and the restaurant was pretty busy so that was great! We got the Korean fried chicken to start. It was really good with the right amount of spice. I loved it. For an entree I got the Ahi Tuna Poke bowl. As soon as i got it i noticed it smelled really fishy. I got the people around me to smell it and they said it smelled fine (bunch of liars lol). I tried eating it and while it didn't taste bad, the smell was so bad that I only ended up finishing half of the bowl. Someone at my table suggested i send it back but since I already ate half of it I thought that would look extremely shady so I didn't. I just took the loss and a learned my lesson - go to a bar for bar food only. read more

I had a decent experience there my first time, as the sever was very helpful with me needing to eat GF. The ambience is nice and it's about time Abby got a Brown's - Mission has had one for years! However, I went again today with two friends for a bday lunch and the service was so bad that we left. There were tons of tables available but the wait time was 15-20 mins, minimum. The excuse was that they were "staggering meals so the kitchen could keep up." Ok, but then at least SEAT people and offer them a drink, even if it's just a glass of water, while they wait. We were told begrudgingly that we could have a drink at the bar while we waited, but who wants to do that, then move again when a table is ready? It was super noisy at the bar, not welcoming at all. Plus, I hate that tactic to get people to spend more money. I also didn't appreciate being asked for my **phone number** when I put my name down on the wait list. That's not necessary when I'm just standing in the entrance. It's an invasion of privacy and I wonder if they then use it to send you unsolicited text ads or what....?? I'm not a super complaining person but I think Brown's has to "up their game," as I didn't feel like a valued customer at all, and would think twice before going back. Very unpleasant experiences here. Incompetent management from Kane and Monica. They supported the bad behaviour of staff without talking to me about it. Server Shannon Wyngaarten padded my tab by two drinks with the seeming aim of gaslighting me. Server Kim was rude and disrespectful seemingly at Shannon's instigation. Server Max tried to guilt me into giving him a $70 tip on a $30 tab. The Owner/Manager Shauna tried to gaslight me by supporting her staff and not instructing them to treat a long time customer like myself with more respect. At Christmas, I was given a gift and card by manager Kerry who wrote "We appreciate your kindness, conversation and support through these odd times. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year!" The Browns McCallum Team. Yet they seemed ready to listen to gossip and be unsupportive when I needed it in February 2021. Such an unappreciate number of staff. I will never go there again. Fantastic location. This place is great ! The atmosphere is lively and the staff friendly. Food was delivered quickly and was amazing. I have had the sushi. The yam fries. The ahi tuna dish. Got a bowl of the Thai Chicken soup and thought they'd made a mistake and gave me a cup, but no, it was the bowl...which also appeared to be half full. It was very tasty, but definitely not worth the price. Better offerings available in this town. read more
