Ravioli + Prawn Trio, Baja Fish Tacos, Prawn Crunch Roll
    Katie M.

We came in for date night/late night happy hour, which started at 9. It was quite busy on a Thursday evening. It's a nice energy to be around for a night out. We had the avocado dip, prawn crunch roll, baja fish tacos and prawn + ravioli trio. We really enjoyed the prawn crunch roll which was on the happy hour menu, and ordered a 2nd roll. I like how they have the option to get the prawn + ravioli trio, which is a smaller version of the main menu item. It had an interesting lemon flavour in the sauce. Service was good. There was a mix up with our bill, they apparently brought the wrong one with a higher amount but it was sorted out quickly.

I wasn't expecting much for Japanese food from a non-Asian restaurant, but the sushi roll here is pretty impressive! There are many menu items to pick from, and most of the items we tried were really good. The ceviche is a must-try, absolutely loved it! The truffle fries and the med bowl were also fantastic. The ambiance is nice, and it's good for big groups. They were able to accommodate all 16 of us. We will definitely go back if we are visiting the area again. Highly recommended!

Food was good and the atmosphere was beautiful. The waitress was very kind and patient. Would've given five stars but my initial order was messed up and I had to wait for a replacement.

Been here a couple times and both times great service with amazingly delish food! Feenie Burger without cheese is my fave and this season they have London fog creme brûlée which is a must try!

Even on a busy night we were greeted and seated pretty quickly. They have a great vibe here. Everything looks fresh and is served beautifully. We tried a few different items and they were all very delicious!

I love coming to this place. Easy location barely a minute off the highway. Attentive service. Nice layout, decor and view. Great food that draws on many international cuisines. I've been here dozens of times traveling to and from Vancouver, and always had a good meal here.

Service was awful...greeter did not say hello..welcome . Told me one area was too dirty need to wait. Came back didn't clean. Made excuses it would take longer. Bathroom dirty..no goodbye..thank you nothing.

The food here is delicious, and the service is excellent. The restaurant has beautiful decor that adds to the dining experience. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. Overall, it's a fantastic place to enjoy a meal.

The building is completely renovated inside, it is a modern dark and masculine look. The menu is limited, there is the typical starters, hand heads, pastas, and a variety of meats and 3 desserts. But although the menu says it has options for vegetarian or vegans, it was the subtraction of a sauce or component of the dish not a substitution. It would be great to see more dishes with vegan options in mind. We tried the fried cauliflower, as it is vegetarian friendly and Gf. It is a non spicy cauliflower with light seasoning served with Tzatziki. It is an alternative to calamari, but it could use a spicy dip! Then we ordered the beyond meat burger which was okay, the bun is a little too big for the patty but it was okay. And we also got the Beef Burger, with a gf bun which was a good bun option. The Other Place is a beautiful restaurant that has a lot of potential. I would be amazing to see some bold flavours to expand on what is already there.

On DoorDash - we chose to order from this place over other chain restaurants to support our local businesses and what We got was an outstanding Sirloin steak sandwich with truffle fries. And a Burnt -to-hell- Tennessee Original chicken sandwich. So I decided to phone the manager and he kindly offered to amend the mistake by giving me another sandwich but only if I could go to the restaurant and pick it up. I asked if there was any other solutions and o can't drive right now and all I got was a 'we are so sorry' when I ask if he was letting me eat that sandwich he said 'I'm sorry but yes, we are fairly new in the business and we are trying to figure things Out' . Then, trying to get what I paid for I ask for credit or a refund and he said ' the next time you come to the restaurant mention the incident and we'll make sure we got that fixed for you' - HOLD on ! - Really? The next time I come to the restaurant??? Excuse me sir but I don't think I'm ready to set foot on a place like this after this unfortunate first experience. And I can keep going ... He didn't mind to ask for my name, Or contact info, nor to offering his contact or a reference for a future follow up with my complaint. Then I asked for the number of the Owner and he said the owner will be really busy anyways. So I just got his name . But not a way to contact him. C'mon guys! Realize you're in the HOSPITALITY business not only in the food business. If you want people to consider your in the future, CARE about them and listen to them.

It is the worse hard liquor I have ever bought. Lavender?? No, just some slightly amber gin that I can't even mix with anything. Whitley Niell makes a great Parma Lavender Gin that I first tried in a cocktail in Portsmouth UK. It isn't sold in Canada anymore unfortunately and was only for a short period. That was the reason I snapped up the Roots and Wings gin but I am resigned to using it for cleaning. I did try some of their other products and only the Abisnstine impressed me. I would have loved to have given a great review of their liquor but that wasn't possible. Drinking their cocktails is a different thing as they have a great mixologist. My advice- visit them, get a sample before buying, and buy only what tastes good to you. Everyone has different tastes.

I was the only there since it was 1pm on a Monday after all. Was about to grab to an Old Fashion after looking at their online menu, but was then told that they did flights so that's what I got. The flight; You choose six from a list of about 15. They do primarily vodka, but they do have some whiskey, gin, and even am Absinthe. I was very happy with all 6 and would order them again. I won't really go into any detail about each spirit since everyone has their own preference when it comes to alcohol. What I can say is that their Old Fashioned Spirit was my favorite. The service: The person working at the time was really friendly and helpful. Willing to answer questions about the spirits and make recommendations. The distillery: It's small and due to Covid Protocols they're only accepting 6 people in the building; however, they have a lot of outdoor space to enjoy. Their pick-up truck bar is the most eye catching so that's where we sat. I'd 100% come back here and if I lived in Langley I'd probably make this place one of my go to hangouts.

It's been a long time since I've seen one this creative and extensive. If I wasn't worried about falling over, I probably would have ordered one of everything . I had the Song of the Siren, which was a perfect balance of sweet and tart without being too sweet. I especially loved the hint of white balsamic vinegar. It was surprisingly strong though, so one was plenty! My husband had Le Tigre, which had guava, passionfruit, pineapple, lime and Thai chili tincture. It had just a touch of spice and a really interesting combination of flavors. We both loved our drinks. For food, we started with the ribs and then ordered the pork belly bao buns and the hot noodle dish. The ribs were cooked really well and had a wonderful crispy/fried texture, but they were very lightly seasoned. If you really want to taste the meat, you'll probably love them. For us, they could have used a little something extra. A couple of fun dipping sauces, maybe something like a honey gochujang, would have made them amazing. Our waitress, who was extremely friendly, told us the hot noodles are one of their favorites. They weren't quite for us. There was definitely lots of flavor, but the sauce was pretty rich and dense and the dish had a good amount of spice. We each had about a bite and ended up packing the rest to take home. It sounds like it's a popular dish though, so I think this one is probably just personal preference. The absolute highlight was the pork belly bao buns. I was a little worried pork belly might mean a lot of heavy fat, but these were much more meat-forward, with the perfect crispness around the outside. The flavors were phenomenal and the bao itself was perfectly cooked. Definitely order these! Overall, really good food, wonderful service and one of the most interesting cocktail menus I've seen in a long time. We'll definitely be back.

The entrance is delightfully well-done, and our faces lit up when we walked into the bar - intricately detailed and authentic enough that a '20s dress code could be reasonably enforced. We were seated immediately, and the cadence of service was immaculate: our appetizer came out just after our drinks, and the entrees appeared as we were taking the last bites of the appetizer. But I wasn't thrilled with my selections. The Rum Punch was served at room temperature and the jalapeño popper chicken sandwich was drier than the description suggested. My partner got the Jalisco Fizz, which she says paired well with the mushroom pasta, and really enjoyed the salmon deviled eggs. At $11-14, the drinks are priced well, but the food is overpriced. The jalapeño chicken sandwich was not a $23 sandwich, and a tempting lobster/shrimp roll was listed at $35. Overall Speakeasy Saloon is worth making an evening of. Dress up and sip on whiskey drinks in the low light with loved ones.
