I hope they all move to Illinois so I can have them be my kids peds dentist location. My family and I were in Santa Rosa for a family wedding. The wedding was on a Sunday and my 23 month old daughter was the flower girl in the wedding. Sunday morning at 7:30AM my poor girl tripped into a set of stairs and knocked several teeth loose (one horribly loose). After some emergency consultation on Sunday we knew we had to wait until Monday morning in order to attempt to have someone see us. I called atleast 2 dozen Dentists, peds dentists, and periodontists within a 30 mile radius on Monday morning and every location was either closed, docs were gone or they didn't see kids. I was lost. My baby girl was in pain. And I didn't know where to turn. Fortunately, Dr. Angie's office was recommended for me to contact by one of the practices that couldn't see me. It would be over an hour drive but after they heard about our situation they vowed to try and squeeze us in. Keep in mind they had a fully booked day and were short staffed. We made the drive and they squeezed us in between patients, all while respecting the appointments and privacy of their current patients (not an easy task to do! I was impressed). They did a visual examination of my daughters teeth and knew xrays were needed right away. After Xrays, it was apparent that a tooth needed to be pulled. My wife and I already knew this and so did Dr. Angie and the team, but proper examination was needed. My poor girls teeth looked rough and it had to be done before we headed home. Dr. Angie and her team exceeded any expectation of bedside manner, love, care, comfort, and expertise that I had walking in there that day. We completed the procedure and 10 minutes later, my daughter was visibly doing better. We are home now and she is a happy girl. We have to keep a close eye on the other affected teeth, but she would not be where she is if it wasn't for Dr. Angie and her team. If you all decide to move to Illinois, I will be the first to sign up my kids as your patients. You brought more than just care to my baby girl, you brought it to all of us. Thank you! Thank you! He was a bit hesitant when we walked in but the assistant (sorry I forgot her name) was so gentle, sweet, and really caring. I seriously thought he would be fighting the entire time and he literally let her look at his teeth with the mirror and all the tools without a fight/cry/whine! Hands down the best experience... FYI, it was his first dentist appointment!

Chelsea had so much patience and explained every little step to my nervous guy as she cleaned his teeth AND successfully got his x-rays. Dr Shaffer was a very calming presence and everyone respected my sons boundaries and never pushed or rushed him to get anything done. This office uses an anesthesiologist named Dr. Ramos and I had a horrible experience with dealing with her and her assistant Janine when needing some additional clarification for a procedure my child needed, and zero contact with Dr. Ramos as well. Dr. Hsia did not do anything to assist me with getting this worked out and actually refused to continue care for my child after 6 years of doing so when there was no issues with her it was just the anesthesia team which is odd. Wouldn't you think the dentist that has been caring for your child for 6 years would do everything they could do ensure that they remain their patient? Nope... she didn't care in the least to assist with the anesthesiologist that they willingly use for their patients. If your child needs more than just a cleaning i would suggest treading lightly as asking clarifying questions is an issue for this team. As a parent its your job to advocate for your child and If you want a dentist for your child that will care for them and also throughout the process assist you and reassure you that your child will be safe and cared for I would recommend against using this office. I hope that Dr. Hsia realizes how great her receptionist Lourdes is and treats her good, because the way that she handled this disappointing interaction was far better than Dr. Hsia and Dr. Ramos & Janine Combined.

Dr Lynn was thorough and patient, explained everything in a way that was really easy for us to understand. When I checked in, I confirmed that I was there for a consultation, and the front desk said yes. After waiting about 20 minutes in the lobby, I was brought into a room and told by an assistant that I was there for a teeth cleaning and X-rays. I explained that I had just had a recent cleaning with my regular dentist and already had X-rays. After waiting again, I was then told they could not do an exam without taking new X-rays. They offered to do them for free, but that felt odd to me since this is supposed to be a more health-conscious form of dentistry, and I didn't want unnecessary X-rays. No one told me ahead of time that I should have my existing X-rays transferred over, which is something I could have easily done before the appointment had I known. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience. The staff did not seem clear on the purpose of my appointment, and the communication felt disorganized. The work I was considering is not inexpensive, and as a potential new patient, I would have expected the office to handle a consultation inquiry with more care and professionalism.

Here's what I've found with Dr. Bendi and the entire team at Alora Dental. They're on time. Waiting and uncertainty can throw off an entire day, so this matters more than many people realize. I've even felt comfortable texting the front desk before my appointment to ask if they're running on schedule, and they've always been kind and helpful. The sensory environment is also manageable and predictable. The lighting is bright but not overwhelming, which is to be expected in a dental office. The temperature is usually comfortable, though occasionally a little cool. The office has a neutral smell, and the staff wear little to no overpowering fragrances. Most importantly, I feel known, respected, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Bendi is gentle, thorough, and consistently puts both my overall health and dental health first. I especially appreciate his understanding that many neurodivergent people process information through bottom-up thinking. He takes the time to explain details rather than expecting blind trust, and that makes a tremendous difference. This may only be my second or third public review, but I felt compelled to write it. Today my son came in for two fillings under oral sedation and use of laughing gas. The whole team made my son feel extremely comfortable which in turn had me feeling comfortable. He remembers his patients and will greet them as he passes by, even though he is on his way to another patient. She was already uncomfortable with the normal teeth cleanings and X-rays so I knew she would not like having to get a shot and teeth worked on. Dr. Bala tried comforting her by explaining what he was going to do and had no problem stopping if he thought she was uncomfortable. The office itself is very clean, welcoming and bright. There are televisions above the exam chairs to help distract the kids while they get work done. Dr. Bala has many assistants that help get the patients in and out in a timely manner. And although my kids are still hesitant going to the dentist, it is not out of fear. They just don't like the taste of the vitamins they put on their teeth. From the moment I walked in everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. I had originally gone in to check the place out and maybe schedule a future appointment. I'm new to the area and was looking for a new dentists. Fortunately for me they had a cancellation at the time I arrived and were able to take me back within moments. Talk about luck! Anyway, I was really pleased with Dr. T's gentle hand (I've had cleanings in the past that we're not that great and a bit painful tbh, but this was a positive experience overall).
