I had my two teeth filled about 2 years ago from here. Both teeth failed and had a giant crack in the middle, according to my new dentist "I've never seen them failed like that". Dr. Hassan initially couldn't find the cavity even after I told him where the pain located... and tried to convince me that's because of something else, like grinding teeth. As soon as he started drilling into one that I told him I have a pain, he was like "oh yeah it is pretty major.." I just doubt any dentist that doesn't even know how to do their job professionally. Sure, maybe it was sneaky one, maybe my teeth sucks but the way he handled the situation, I had to shake my head. Good luck y'all if you want to try there. Gentle. Professional. Friendly. I went for a teeth cleaning several months back and finally getting around to writing this review. From the moment I walked in everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. I had originally gone in to check the place out and maybe schedule a future appointment. I'm new to the area and was looking for a new dentists. Fortunately for me they had a cancellation at the time I arrived and were able to take me back within moments. Talk about luck! Anyway, I was really pleased with Dr. T's gentle hand (I've had cleanings in the past that we're not that great and a bit painful tbh, but this was a positive experience overall). Initial visit, x rays were taken. Although I require extensive work, the dentist focused on fixing the most expensive tooth first, even though my insurance won't begin the cover much of the cost. Was very disappointed that he did not inquire about my ability to pay. And, why not choose to conduct small fillings before they become large fillings, which my insurance would cover a portion of? read more

I was in Napa visiting family for the weekend, and unfortunately had a crown pop off late Saturday morning. Being from out of town, did an internet search to see if getting a fix was even possible. Figured my odds were close to zero, but one dentistry showed up that gave me hope....Vintage Dentistry. Called the number and got what seemed to be an answering service. They took my info and told me they would call me back. In about 20 minutes I got the call back and told me I could come in immediately. Literally within an hour and a half, on a Saturday.....my crown was put back on. Unbelievable!!! Very nice little office, and great staff. This was my first time to Vintage Dentistry. What an amazing experience. I started with a cleaning which went very smoothly and painless. I had used invisalign to straighten my teeth with another dentist in the past but after i stopped using it some of the front teeth went back to their old position so my smile was never right. Dr. Taheri suggested he do a veneer for the upper four front teeth. I was a bit nervous but the outcome was fantastic. i do not think i have ever been to a better dentist. I have had no issue with the actual dental work I received from Vintage Dental, and found that to be fully satisfactory. However, my experience with reception there was unprofessional. Multiple times I was informed at the last minute that they could no longer see me or that they needed to change my appointment in a very unprofessional manner. For example, I received a text the day before my appointment asking, "when do you want to come in?" after having a cleaning booked months in advance. When I stated my scheduled appointment time, I was told that was unavailable and asked to switch to the next day. I ended up rescheduling for two days later and was texted hours ahead that they needed my appointment to change again, which I was unable to accommodate. I am a working parent and cannot reschedule appointments easily as it requires moving my own clients around, as well as arranging childcare. I was not planning to reschedule with them. On my way out that day, reception said they would be in touch within a few weeks to schedule follow up. it's been many months now and I never heard back. read more

Crown repair On Thursday afternoon my crown came off my tooth. Of course this would happen just 2 days before I am going to travel to Disney world. So I then went to my Yelp App and began trading reviews. I trad many reviews and finally determined that Vintage Dental was going to be my fix. I call Friday morning and the friendly reception was able to squeeze me in. I arrived and met a very friendly and professional staff! Then then dentist (Taheri) introduced him self and began assessing my problem crown. He quickly identified that he could make the repair and dd it quickly and skillfully!! Went here for an initial visit and did not return. The doctor that did the exam and cleaning was fine, no complaints. The receptionist however, not professional. I called and emailed a few times and it took a few hours to hear back from her, at one point the next day. She was talking to other people on the phone while I was on the phone with her (why not put me on hold?). And when we were trying to schedule an appointment for a service at one point during the conversation she suggested to go else where because they didn't have appointments. Not to mention she had no idea about my insurance even though they are contracted with it she kept telling me to look into it, isn't that why calling and benefits is for on your behalf? I was in Napa for work, not wine tasting unfortunately, and I had a veneer pop off during breakfast. After checking yelp I realized many dentists in Napa are closed on Friday. I was able to get the veneer to stick on my front tooth long enough to get through my meeting and then reached VIntage Dental and they were 100% helpful and able to take care of my emergency. They just had a cancellation so were able to take me right away! What? When does that happen? The receptionist was super cool and helpful and even processed my insurance for payment. The dentist was top notch and glued my veneer back on and provided some friendly advice on n a couple of other issues too! What a super great experience - and I'm talking about going to the dentist people! The dental chair was super comfortable as well. I hope I don't find myself there again but I would highly highly recommended them for anyone in napa looking for a dentist. As for me I was able to fly to Seattle and attend the event I had with both of my front teeth in place! read more

I have never had a better dental experience! The team is so kind and professional, and the office is very clean and well-kept. I was given ample time with Dr. Taheri; he and his talented staff gave me detailed answers to all of my questions, including about coverage. Unlike with many other dentists, I did not feel as though I was being charged for every little service they could put through my insurance. During my first visit the doctor said everything looked ok but that he "wanted" to fix a gap I had and redo a couple things, which sounded like his preference vs. necessity, so I opted out of that treatment. Maybe a year later I called back to schedule a cleaning and to get a chipped crown replaced and the receptionist told me that I could come in to discuss the existing treatment plan, because the doctor would be "negligent" if he didn't perform the work. I argued the I have the right to opt out of work. She changed her tactic and said that the doctor could deny me a cleaning if I didn't stick to the plan. I argued against the legality of this, and then she changed it to them just wanting me to know that things would get worse if I didn't get the work done. I told her I didn't appreciate her approach (misrepresenting legality and threats) to getting me to get work done, and I would think about coming in for a cleaning. This method is a reg flag for me. read more

I was excited to try this place out as the photos look very nice and the reviews were great. However, I did not enjoy my experience here and will not be returning. My X-rays put me in a discomfort I've never experienced in a dental office...the plastic pieces were digging so deep into my gums each photo was a painful experience. I did not feel I got as sufficient of a cleaning as I have in my past years at another location. When it came to my estimate for my fillings, they said my primary was so good it wasn't even worth it for them to do the work to activate my second insurance coverage. I said that although my quote was good, I was still too broke to cover the remaining on my own without secondary coverage. They then wished me luck at another location or I could do the paperwork myself and bring it to them. Can you believe a professional office would be SO lazy as to not do the extra footwork to get their patients fully covered???? Unbelievable. read more

I am one who doesn't like the dentist very much but this place makes going to the dentist easy . This place is unwilling to fix the problems. I have cracked teeth and tooth decay, but the dentist was reluctant to fix it. After a few visits, he finally took care of one. He asked costly fix he could not do and asked me to go elsewhere that cost more than $2000., He did an easy part of it. I still have another problem he did not want. This place was scheduled for me a few years ago and due to covid, they cancelled it. I called them to reschedule, but I never received any call back to reschedule. It is now a few years overdue. After an awful experience with Western Dental (AVOID!) I found Vintage. They have so many 5 star reviews on here compared to others, I was suspicious some might be fake, but they are not, this is a great practice. First, the receptionist is very friendly and helpful. She even called me prior to an appointment to tell me they were running a bit late so I wouldn't have to sit around the waiting room. Second, the technician who took my x-rays and assisted is great too. After he does the x-ray, he rushes right in to take that uncomfortable plastic guide right out of your mouth, a nice touch I appreciate. Finally, Dr. Teheri is awesome. After our introductions, I immediately felt I was able to trust him with my health. He is a real professional. There wasn't even a whiff of trying to upsell me on any procedures (unlike Western). He truly wants the best for you and gives you multiple options to choose from. The office was clean, modern, and they take all the necessary COVID precautions possible. I'm moving to Vallejo soon but I will keep coming back here because anyplace else would have a very high bar to clear compared to Vintage. read more

Just moved to the area and was looking for a dentist through my health insurance. Found this one and read some reviews. I went in for a chipped tooth and they were very accommodating when it came to appointment times. They only opened a year ago I guess, so everything looks and smells new and fresh. The bathroom is like a nice hilton bathroom. Very nice. The dentistry itself was good. There is a fun and also terrifying camera on a stick that he sticks in your mouth so you can actually see the damage which is really cool. I don't usually write reviews but I felt the need to let people know about my pleasant experience with Vintage Dental. I was having a sever toothache so I decided to look around and see what dentists were in my area. Soon after starting my research I decided to give Vintage Dental a shot. This was based on reviews I had read on the internet and the fact that they also take most dental insurance plans. I set up an appointment and went in and had a root canal done. I was nervous at first, but Dr. Taheri and all of his staff are very professional. They assured me that I was in good hands. Dr. Taheri is very knowledgeable and insures that his patients are not in pain. I was out of the office in no time and had no pain once the anesthesia wore off. I had recently moved from Davis and was very anxious in choosing a dentist but they made this choice easy for me. I made my first appointment for a dental cleaning and they were able to fit me in within a few days. They have been able to repair some of the work other dentists have missed (Endodontic Therapy) and Dr. Taheri always ensured that quality was up to his standards as he never hesitated to send work back to the lab if he felt that it needed to be re-evaluated.
