I called Brown's on Friday to make sure they could tow my car on Monday. They said they could not make a definite appointment. So, I called a different company, and they said they wouldn't make a definite appointment either. On Monday the other company called me early in the morning, offering to get my car and I said to come on over. Several minutes later I got a call from an unknown number saying, " I'm on my way". Assuming it was the other company's operator I said OK. Then both trucks showed up minutes apart. Apparently, the call I received was from the Brown's driver. After the other company had started hooking up my car the Brown's driver came up my driveway and demanded payment for a service call. The driver for the other company offered to leave for no charge, but I had committed to them and let him take the car. The Brown's operator still charged me for showing up but doing nothing. Yeah for Brown's! Had a flat tire issue last weekend and it was sooooooo cold. We had issues locating the lug wrench that was supposed to be with the spare in the trunk. Brown's came out, arrived within 10 minutes and had my flat changed to the spare within 10 minutes after that. read more

Very impressed how fast and friendly the service was. Myself and the vehicle keys were 30 minutes away from the car in 10 degree weather. I wouldn't call anyone else for towing service in Bloomington-Normal than Brown's. My car wouldn't start and I called them for a tow. They arrived at my house within 15 min but checked battery first. They were able to jump it so I could drive it to get a new battery, so didn't need a tow. I've known the owner since grade school and wouldn't trust anyone else. He's a stand up guy who's honest and will take care of you, no matter what. When you need a tow, or having battery issues, give Brown's a call. They'll take care of you! read more

I broke down at Hardees on Oakland and called the motorclub who referred me to another tow company. The other tow company said they wouldn't arrive for about 2 hours to tow me 1.6 miles away to Dennison. I called Dennison who recommended Browns. Browns was there very quickly, charged a reasonable price and as far as I know, dropped my car off at Dennison's. I'll call them directly next time. I will recommend them to others. read more

My wife got a flat tire yesterday, and my stupid self didn't realize her car (and my car) didn't have a spare. Since we weren't familiar with any towing places in town, we just picked the first one that popped up for us on Google. Fortunately, it was a great choice! My kids dirt bikes (motorcycles) were stolen and the Mclean county sheriff called these guys to pick them up as part of their process. I was informed by the police 8 days after they arrested the perpetrators, that I was able to pick up the bikes at Browns. My neighbor and I showed up to pick up the bikes. My neighbor and, who I presume to be the owner, got into an argument about the costs of storing and picking up the bikes. I briefly tried to interject and calm the situation down when the owner then directed his frustration at me, calling me an "a**hole" and a "jerk". I didn't even have the opportunity to discuss the situation with him before he started calling me names. He ranted on for about 15 more minutes including threatening to have us arrested for disorderly conduct. At the end he calmed down and apologized and even took $40 dollars off the prices of the $90 storage (9 days at $10 per bike to have them sit in his garage). Please realize these bikes were stolen from us. While he attempted to make things right (offering discount and apologizing), I have an issue with his behavior with me specifically. He didn't given me any chance to talk with him or explain the situation so we could work things out amicably. I'd have a concern that this is how he conducts himself with other transactions. read more

This wrecker is NOT the one to call. After a long wait they finally arrived; a large dog in the tow truck licked and scratch us. It had NO collar and was a big problem. Fortunately, neither one of us were allergic to animals.The tow truck driver literally dumped us at a location that could not repair our truck and refused to take us across the way to Sears repair. He just insisted that we pay him Again, then he drove away leaving us standing in a parking lot. OUCH! This is NOT our definition of "Professional." read more

Was sad to discover my car wouldn't start. So we went to the reviews and gave a look for the best towing services. These reviews are very accurate. Super friendly and very fast. My car was hooked up in under 10 minutes. The price is also very reasonable. I was expecting 100+ after prior experience in Iowa. Happily though it cost about the same as a nice dinner for two. I hope I never need a tow again, but if I do, this will be the company I use. read more
